Preface
Because I spend a lot of time sitting, both at work and in my personal life, I've recently developed hemorrhoids.
This is my first experience with this, so I'm currently undergoing treatment while making various improvements to my lifestyle.
One of the things I've been working on improving is trying out different cushions to place on my chair.
Ultimately, I came across something I really liked, so I decided to share it with you.

This is what the gel cushion looks like.
I vaguely remember seeing it on a TV shopping program some time ago, advertised as a cushion so soft that you could place a raw egg on it and sit on it without breaking it.
Even after searching online, I couldn't find any information about the manufacturer, so I think you'll find it if you search for something like "gel cushion double honeycomb structure".
I purchased it from Amazon, where a coupon was available. The price was reduced from 2,680 yen to 2,300 yen after applying the coupon, and that's the price I paid (price as of April 2020).
The honeycomb structure is well known for its resemblance to the pattern of a beehive, and this product also features a similar structure made up of hexagonal prisms arranged in a grid.
Its shape effectively distributes pressure from above when you sit on it, and it has a very sturdy structure.
As the name "double" honeycomb structure suggests, this structure consists of two overlapping surfaces made of hexagonal prisms created from this gel, forming a cushion.
The fact that it's so durable despite using soft materials is probably due to this structure.
Incidentally, this product comes with a laundry cover.
When the product arrived, it was packaged in a laundry cover like this.
Although it says it's a laundry cover, I think it's fine to use it while it's still in the cover to prevent it from getting dirty.

The cover has an anti-slip surface, so the cushion won't slide around even when you sit on it.
Sitting on the gap in the cushion will reduce pressure on your buttocks.

In conclusion, I was very satisfied with my purchase.
Up until now, I've tried various types of cushions, including memory foam cushions, round cushions, and gel-type seat cushions.
However, with all the cushions, sitting on them caused them to become stiff and firm, so they didn't feel very soft when I sat on them.
Under normal circumstances, it might have been soft enough, but I have hemorrhoids.
(I didn't realize how much pressure was being put on my buttocks on a normal basis until I developed hemorrhoids.)
This cushion is softer than any cushion I've ever used before, making it very comfortable to sit on.
This is a product I would strongly like to have not only on my chair at home, but also in my office, car, and other places.
One thing I noticed is that when left in a cold room, it feels a little cold, probably due to its good heat conductivity.
If you sit on it for a while, it will quickly warm up from your body heat, so there's no problem.
During winter or other colder seasons, it might feel cold at first.
However, I have no other complaints, and I was finally able to achieve the softness I was looking for.
Back pain and hemorrhoids are strongly influenced by factors such as sitting posture and diet.
I don't think people with no particular health problems need to buy it right now.
However, if your health deteriorates in the future and you find yourself wanting a soft cushion, I hope this will be helpful.
