This is a review article of the visual novel "Even So, Until the End" by funyara, which was unveiled at "VIPRPG Kohaku 2022".
This suspense story follows the protagonist as he suddenly wakes up to find himself trapped in a room and struggles alone to escape.
The completion time was approximately one and a half hours.
Game Overview (No Spoilers)

Nasun, the protagonist, lives in City R, where a series of disappearances are occurring. When he wakes up, he finds himself in an unfamiliar room.
My memory of how I ended up in this place was hazy, but I took action to escape anyway.
However, no matter how many doors I opened or how far I went, all the rooms were the same.
How can I escape? Why was I brought here? And what is the perpetrator's motive?
As various questions and mysteries arise, Nasun reflects on everything that has happened up to now.
The game itself is a visual novel where you simply read through text.
There are three opportunities to save your progress, conveniently spaced at points that evenly divide the game.
Review (no spoilers)
I enjoyed playing until the very end.
It felt like I was watching a suspense movie.
The story begins with an introduction reminiscent of the movie "CUBE," and then depicts Nasun's trial and error attempts to escape.
Partway through, Nasun's past and background begin to be revealed, while at the same time, the escape from the room unfolds in parallel.
If anything, the story unfolds in a quiet, understated manner, especially in the beginning.
The game also features combat scenes with walking graphics, which is a selling point for visual novels.
I can't say too much because it would be a spoiler, but I recommend it to players who want to experience a surprising ending.
I think this is a game you can enjoy right up to the end, including the credits after you finish the game.
If you're even slightly interested, why not give it a try?
