Kazuhiko Shimamoto's manga are incredibly passionate. While not serious in nature, his gag manga are hilarious because of the contrast between the earnestness and passion and the petty, almost childish dialogue. The art style might seem a bit intense to some, but I think it's incredibly entertaining.

I'd like to introduce a few funny gag manga I've read recently. First, there's "Asobi Asobase," a manga about three cute middle school girls who enjoy various games at their after-school play club. It features a soft, watercolor-like cover rather than the typical cute, moe-style artwork. [...text continues...].
