Village of Cyber(1人プレイ用人狼フリーゲーム)紹介・感想・攻略メモ game
This post can be read in about 5 minutes.

This is an introduction and review of "Village of Cyber," a free game that lets you enjoy a one-player version of Werewolf.
This game is recommended for beginners who are just curious about what kind of game it is, rather than those who are already familiar with the Werewolf game.

If you play "Village of Cyber" and think, "So this is what a werewolf game is like," I think there are some aspects that might be a bit misleading.
I think this is a good learning tool for learning the basic rules of the Werewolf game and getting a glimpse of what makes it fun.

"Village of Cyber" is recommended for the following people:
People who are interested in the Werewolf game but have never played it before.
- People who want to learn the basic strategies of the Werewolf game
People who enjoy logical reasoning problems

Game Overview

Simply put, it's a "Werewolf" game for solo play.
You can easily experience the thrill of the "Werewolf Game," which has been featured in various media outlets in recent years.

The game starts with a simple village for the tutorial, and ends with a village of up to 20 players with the maximum number of special roles available.
The initial tutorial, in particular, is presented in a narrative style that makes the progression of the Werewolf game easy to understand.
The characters have distinct personalities, which makes them fun, and the music really enhances the game.
These kinds of considerations are something that beginners will appreciate.

This game fails to replicate the free-flowing conversations between players, which are the most enjoyable aspect of the actual "Werewolf" game.
However, I think you can definitely enjoy the "fun of devising a winning strategy" based on assumptions and reasoning.

Incidentally, "Village of Cyber" does have a story.
However, the content is merely flavorful, adding meaning to the rule that "the villagers' roles change, and they try the werewolf game multiple times."

Even if you're someone who simply wants to enjoy a solo version of Werewolf, you don't need to worry too much about that.

Game content

You start in a tutorial village, and by clearing it, you can challenge the next village, which is more difficult.

Even when playing in the same village, the roles assigned to each character are, of course, completely random.
Since it changes every time you play, it can be a little sad if your favorite character gets killed off.

The in-game screen looks something like this:

Because it's a game, all the important information up to this point is summarized concisely and is immediately clear.
Players are always on the village side, so they cannot play as the werewolf.

However, since players can issue CO (Commitment Order) instructions to make work histories public, give orders to protect hunters, hold designated votes, and vote with grenade launchers, there's no doubt that the fate of the game rests on the players' shoulders.

Since the gameplay closely follows that of an actual Werewolf game, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Tips, strategies, and ways of thinking for conquering the game.

I've never actually played the real Werewolf game.
Therefore, these are merely tips for beating this game.

Early game strategy

First, you'll probably see several people claiming to be fortune tellers.
Since there is only one fortune teller, it naturally follows that there is a character who is lying.

Therefore, the basic approach in the early stages will likely involve trying to figure out which fortune teller is genuine.
As for who to vote for, I think it would be best to hang the villagers that the fortune teller deems guilty, and then have the psychic judge the outcome.

However, if two fortune tellers appear, there's a good chance that the psychic is also a fake, so be careful.
The werewolves will cooperate with each other, so make sure the fake fortune teller and fake psychic duo don't take control.

If three people claim to be fortune tellers, there's a high probability that one of them is actually a madman.
This is because one fake fortune teller played by a werewolf is sufficient, and it's unlikely they would allocate two people to the role.

Mid-game strategy

Whether it's genuine or fake, try to get as many fortune-telling results as possible.
Doing so will provide more information for later deductions.
If you're unsure whether the fortune teller is genuine, it's important to have them come forward as a psychic and approach the case from that angle as well.

If someone who claimed to be a fortune teller or psychic gets bitten, you can assume the other person is either a werewolf or a madman.
However, if someone in a managerial position gets bitten, it becomes difficult to formulate future plans, so this is not a good development.

Endgame strategy

By this point, it's crucial to determine whether the fortune teller or psychic is genuine or not.
Whether that decision was right or wrong, there's almost no turning back at this final stage.

Keep in mind that, in the worst-case scenario, you can use the roller to hang the werewolves (including the madman).
Also, if you absolutely need to narrow down who to hang in the final stages, it's important to instruct someone to reveal themselves as the hunter or to observe who the grenade launcher votes are directed at.

In the early stages of the game, during the grenade launcher voting, the werewolves are hesitant to vote for each other because one of their teammates might be lynched.
Conversely, if they are voting, it's less likely they are a werewolf.

The above are some of the strategies I came up with while playing the game.

summary

I think that playing this game allowed me to experience some of the fun of the Werewolf game.

After clearing the game, I started to understand a lot more by reading the past logs of the village on the Werewolf game website.
The secrets to beating this game might actually be found in the past logs of the original Werewolf game.
