Kuon no Kanata (Free SRPG) Introduction, Impressions, and Strategy Notes

久遠の彼方(Kuon no Kanata/フリーSRPG)紹介・感想・攻略メモ game
This post can be read in about 80 minutes.

This game is a work by TS, who also created simulation RPGs such as "Shinsetsu Mahou Shoujo" and "Heartium".
I've only played his more recent works, but they're all fantastic in terms of both story and gameplay; once I started playing, I couldn't stop.
In the story, both allies and enemies carefully consider their actions and do their best, so the plot doesn't feel contrived or like it's based on plot conveniences, and it overwhelms the player with its realistic and compelling narrative.
I felt the same way about this film.

After clearing up to episode 15, my total playtime was approximately 16 hours.
The total time it took to complete the game was approximately 60 hours.

Game Overview

This work, "Beyond Eternity," is a story set in a world composed of nobles who can use magic and those who cannot.
Kanata, who possesses the rare ability to use spatial magic, and his twin brother Kuon, who cannot yet use magic, are the prince and princess of the Touga Kingdom and can be considered the protagonists of this story.
The story begins when Kanata, whose daily routine involves escaping the castle using spatial magic, explores a cave near the castle with his friend Shuna and the ogre Jarebi.
In a world where the ability to use magic or not holds absolute value, the story of Kuon and Kanata begins.

While the human drama is the main attraction, it's also a fascinating military chronicle, offering a realistic portrayal of war and politics through its meticulously crafted setting.
Each of the many characters that appear is very unique, and they seem to move around the story as if they were living, breathing characters.
The way the story unfolds through the actions of each character is fascinating and keeps you glued to the screen.
And it's a game full of events that unfold dynamically at times, making you want to get engrossed and keep going.

I'd say the game's difficulty level is somewhere between slightly easy and average.
Even if your entire party is wiped out, you can restart the same map with all the experience points and other stats you've gained, so you're practically never stuck.

Considering these specifications, I think it's actually quite easy to complete.
The map often features powerful enemies that you can clear without defeating, so if you aim to defeat them, you'll get a decent challenge.
Players who are confident in their skills should aim for higher goals if they feel they haven't had enough of a challenge.

Since the units you can deploy are basically fixed for each map, you don't really need to worry about who to deploy.
The game's balance requires you to properly utilize all the units you deploy, so I think everyone will grow to a certain extent even without you consciously trying.

The scenario progresses in stages, such as Episode 1, Episode 2, and so on, but in most cases, each episode contains several map-based sections to complete.
Therefore, even though there are 30 episodes in total, the final number of maps will probably be two to three times that, or 60 to 90 maps.
Each episode is dense with content, and the amount of text in the scenario parts is quite substantial, giving the impression of a considerable amount of material.

Battles on each map will be fought using the unique skills each unit possesses.
Techniques can be divided into those that can be used without limit and those that consume MP.
MP recovers a little bit each turn, but the recovery speed is slow.
While it's important to conserve MP, there are times when you should unleash a barrage of powerful moves from the start to gain an advantage quickly.
Using techniques with varying speeds and intensity will be key to success.

Skills can be upgraded by paying money on the base screen.
It's a tough decision whether to spend money on buying items or on improving your skills.

Additionally, most units have unique special commands.
For example, the unit Bitter can use the "Defend" command to increase its own defense until the next turn, in exchange for becoming unable to counterattack.
Many commands have a limited number of uses on a given map, but using them proactively at crucial moments will allow for more efficient gameplay.

Review (no spoilers)

(Impressions after clearing episode 15: November 2020)
The game's difficulty level was just right, and the story was incredibly interesting.
There's no character loss, and even if your entire party is wiped out, you can carry over your experience points and try again, so I think it's easy to play even for people who aren't good at difficult SRPGs.
Compared to the author's other works, such as "Shinsetsu Mahou Shoujo" and "Heartium," I felt this one was easier to enjoy.
The amount of text is a bit on the larger side, but it's written in an easy-to-read style with a focus on conversation, so I didn't get tired of reading it.

Although it has a fantasy-like setting, magic is depicted to some extent as science, and I felt there was plenty of the appeal of a science fiction setting.
Instead of viewing magic as some mysterious, incomprehensible power, its mechanisms are explained to a certain extent, making it easy to accept intellectually.
If you enjoy works with intricate settings, such as the manga "Hunter x Hunter," you'll probably enjoy this even more.

There are many highlights in this work, but what I personally find most interesting is the personal growth and transformation of the characters.
As the characters interact and share experiences, they grow and change as they process and accept those experiences in their own way.
While the unfolding story and changing circumstances are certainly compelling aspects, I believe the depiction of each character's growth and transformation is also something not to be missed.

(Post-completion impressions: Added in May 2024)
Episodes 16 through 30 were much more substantial and had more content than the first 1 through 15 episodes.
At first glance, it appears to be a story set in a medieval world, but the setting, including the mechanics of magic, is sprinkled with scientific elements, similar to those seen in "New Theory of Magical Girl."
Therefore, it felt like a logical approach that was easy for us modern people to accept.

The basic principle of combat in this game is to efficiently eliminate enemies by exploiting their weaknesses.
If you exploit their weaknesses, you can defeat them in one hit with a powerful technique, which provides a satisfying feeling.
On the other hand, if you overuse powerful techniques, you may not have enough firepower in boss battles, so I feel that this system tests your resource management skills.
I think the gameplay in this area was similar to that of "New Theory Magical Girl."

There aren't many malicious enemy reinforcements, and the enemies charge in gradually, so it's not a game that really tests your strategic skills.
I personally liked how the map exploration section felt like an extension of the event sequences.
I thought this game made the most of the SRPG genre, which allows for the creation of a wide variety of situations.

The battle animations are very impressive, and although I usually keep them off, I played this game with them on.
Holding down the right mouse button speeds up the gameplay, and the battle animations themselves aren't long-winded, so it wasn't a problem at all.
Occasionally, when dialogue events were inserted before or after battles, I would sometimes accidentally fast-forward through them, but since I could easily access the backlog from the menu on the map, it wasn't a problem.
During the climactic scene of the event, a spectacular animation specially created for the event was prepared, and combined with the background music, it created an absolutely thrilling experience.

The graphics, including the character portraits, are also very impressive.
Each character has a considerable number of patterns, and there are differences depending on how much HP is lost.
There are quite a few rare character portrait patterns that are only used once, so I imagine a lot of effort went into creating them.

My overall impression of the game is that the various elements within the game are designed so as not to hinder the enjoyment of the story.
Even if the story is interesting, if the gameplay is too difficult, you'll end up in a situation where you want to progress but can't clear the game.
Furthermore, being forced to grind for points in order to complete the game can lead to stress.
However, I felt that this game was difficult enough that grinding wasn't really necessary in the first place, and you can grind by getting wiped out if needed.
Being able to earn money anytime also means you don't have to make pointless earnings out of fear of future financial ruin.
(Incidentally, I never encountered a situation where I was wiped out and had to restart the stage from the beginning, and I rarely had to reload during gameplay.)

In my case, I usually play games with the goal of completing them first.
Therefore, in this game, you don't need to worry about earning money in advance, and you can enjoy the game by focusing on clearing the current stage.
I'm the kind of person who gets curious about what's inside treasure chests, so collecting them was a bit of a hassle.
However, I accept this because it's due to my own play style.
In the end, I think that even if I hadn't collected all the treasure chests, it wouldn't have been a problem to clear the game.

I think that "Kyuuon no Kanata" is a game that's so good that you might even feel guilty playing it for free as a free game.

By expressing your gratitude and support in a tangible way, you might be able to play even more new games in the future.

Strategy Notes (Contains Spoilers)

As mentioned earlier, the difficulty level of this game is not particularly high.
Furthermore, even if your entire party is wiped out, you can restart the map with the items you've acquired carried over.
Therefore, even if you play casually, you will eventually be able to clear the game.

Therefore, the strategy notes in this section don't contain much substance.
Please think of this as a kind of play log that I write later so I can reminisce about my experiences.
I'd like to share some tips and tricks I learned while playing.

- You don't need to strengthen your skills in the early stages.
For now, unless you're doing a hardcore playthrough, you don't need to upgrade any of your skills at all.
If you're going to spend the same amount of money, buying equipment items is a quicker way to strengthen your units.
However, I think there's also the enjoyment of strengthening your favorite units and making them shine, so you should feel free to enjoy it however you like.

In the second half of the game, once you have extra money, start working on improving your skills.
In particular, it's helpful to maximize the power of your special moves, especially those used against bosses.

Give them equipment items whenever possible.
Equip the units you put on the front lines with Mithril Shields and Mithril Armor to enhance their defensive capabilities.
The Heal Rod, which restores 15 HP each turn, makes a huge difference in stability when equipped to tough units that act as frontline attackers (such as Cashew and Macaroni in the early stages).
Although it's a slow process, automatically recovering HP saves MP that would otherwise be used for healing.
I think it's a good idea to equip all units with this weapon, especially those with short range and a tendency to be counterattacked.

If your unit primarily uses long-range attacks, equip it with rings or other items that increase its attack power.
For units with a movement range of only 5, equipping them with wing parts seems to significantly improve their usability.
In the early stages of the game, giving them to characters like Bowlong, Macaroni, and Ashley makes it easier to coordinate and manage your troops during marches.

In the later stages of the game, spellbooks that grant gain-type spells and Dolce Symbols that grant healing magic will be more useful if you give them to units that tend to have free hands.

- Operation that takes into account natural MP recovery
At the start of the stage, everyone starts with full MP.
If it will take several turns before you engage in combat with the enemy, you should actively use support magic and other abilities.
Conceptually, at the start of combat, you would first use a powerful special move to reduce the number of enemies and create a numerically advantageous situation.
When you have the advantage, conserve MP and fight with low-cost techniques even if you are counterattacked (if you have a Heal Rod, your lost HP will recover naturally).
In the end, I played using the basic strategy of unleashing all the MP I had accumulated during the boss battle.

- Collect the treasure chests depending on the situation.
This game features many treasure chests, but none of them contain anything irretrievable.
Therefore, if collecting them is too much trouble, you can probably just ignore them.
The correspondence between the color of the treasure chest and its contents is as follows:

Red → Consumable items (healing, support, etc.)
Blue → Equipment, items for sale, etc.
Yellow → Money
Light purple → Status-enhancing item

There may be exceptions, but this is generally how it works.
Since many pieces of equipment are expensive, it's a good strategy to focus on collecting only blue-colored equipment in the early stages of the game.

- A formidable opponent is a shield break at the start of the match.
In the later stages of the game, many bosses with high defense appear.
Even if you have a skill that negates negative status effects, shield break is still effective.
First, use Shield Break to lower their defense before engaging in combat.
Otherwise, even if you use powerful special moves, you may not be able to inflict the desired damage, and you risk running out of MP.

Episode 1: A Perfect Day for an Escape Through the Sky

In the first part, you can defeat the enemy without any problems by using a strategy of weakening them with indirect attacks and then finishing them off with Kanata.
Since counterattacks against the enemy deal less damage, it's important to position yourself so that you won't be attacked during the opponent's turn.

The red treasure chest in the second part contains a Kanmi Potion, so use Kanata to warp there and collect it.
The blue treasure chest contains the Ruby Ring.
Since it increases the release rate, it would be good to give it to Schnauzer.

The enemy will be fine as long as they fight in a way that avoids taking too much damage.
Dragons are slow, so let's run away.
You might get attacked once when you pass each other, but you should be able to withstand it at least once.

Episode 2: Awakening

Just be careful not to get attacked by a large group of slimes at once.
Let's use Shuna's Shikigami Bomb and Parkin's Flame Spear as the starting points for our attacks.
Characters whose role is to perform close-range attacks should aim to deliver the finishing blow and try to avoid being counterattacked as much as possible.

The second part has a large number of enemies.
However, we have many allies, and many of our members can heal HP, so we should be able to defeat them.
Let's take them down one by one, timing our attacks carefully.
If you use powerful magic too frequently, you might run out of MP when fighting dragons.
Since dragons are slow, in the worst-case scenario, you can defeat them by running around and using your MP to recover naturally.

The treasure chest closest to you contains 500 Ril, while the one further back contains Hippogonia Grass (Max HP +2).

Episode 3: Things I Want to Know

Quon and Pure will be fighting together.
There's nothing particularly difficult about it.

In the second part, let's make good use of the guest units to fight.
Since there are no conditions for defeat, clearing the game is easy.

Meri is a formidable opponent, and only water-element attacks can deal effective damage to her.
Use Mel's knight's ice sword or Pure's marine axe to inflict damage.
However, if you attack on your turn and are counterattacked, you will be defeated by the enemy's attack on their turn. Therefore, contrary to the usual strategy, focus on dealing damage through counterattacks.
This turn, we will primarily focus on healing through Relive.
When it's time to deliver the final blow, it's okay to attack from your side.
Furthermore, even if you defeat Meri, she will revive stronger, so ultimately, the only way to clear the stage is to defeat Kuon.

Episode 4: Magic is Everything

Just like the previous stage, you will still clear it even if you lose.
You can heal by standing on the Dragon Vein magic circle, but staying in that spot for too long puts you in danger of being surrounded by enemies.
It's important to break through the enemy lines in some direction and avoid being surrounded around your starting position.
It's easier to fight if you first break through the enemy in the upper left and then engage them in the passage you came through.

On turn 7, Mel will appear from the upper right.
Before Mel gets close, take care of the other enemies and try to recover your HP and MP using magic circles and other means.
Let's make good use of the blessings of the Pure Forest.
Since Mel's attack range is 1, have Pure and Parkin attack from a distance, and have Bitter and Quon attack on the turn they will deliver the finishing blow, making sure they don't get counterattacked.

In the second part, the map where you hunt ghosts in a ruined building will also feature Mel.
The enemies are slowly approaching the entrance, so move in one direction to avoid being surrounded.
Darkwraiths are tough and strong, so exploit their fire weakness to defeat them effectively.

On turn 8, two Darkwraiths will appear near the entrance.
If you don't have enough MP, run around the map to buy yourself some time.

The blue treasure chest in the upper right contains Malto Grass (release power +2).

Episode 5: Is Magic Everything?

The enemies near the gate can be wiped out in one turn if you fight them skillfully.
Let's exploit their weaknesses and take care of the first wave.

As you approach the gate, Macaroni and his group will come towards you.
Wait in a position where you can stay out of Macaron's attack range, and then launch a sudden attack.
I think the damage can be minimized if you use the guest unit effectively as a wall.
However, since Skalite, who can use the Ice Sword, is valuable for exploiting enemy weaknesses, be sure to use him wisely.

Upon entering the gate, everyone will be poisoned by Fudge's trap.
Therefore, it would be best not to enter the gate until the fighting situation calms down.
If you become poisoned, use an Iska Potion to quickly detoxify yourself.

Chapter 6: The Flames and Winds of War

First, Shuna will break through the enemy's encirclement on her own.
You can escape after fighting just one person, but you might as well take down two or three more.

In the subsequent cave battle, as advised during information gathering, Zaha's self-introduction and the deployment of the talisman meant that we took almost no damage.
By using both methods in combination and focusing on counterattacks, you should be able to defeat them safely.

Opera alone is no match for the battle in the church.
I think we could only manage to take down about two of them at most.
If you lose, an event will occur and you will proceed to the next stage.

Episode 7: The Puppet Princess

Cashew and Bowlong should focus on using powerful special moves to whittle down strong enemies, while the other guest units should fight in a way that minimizes the chances of taking counterattacks.
Don't hesitate to use Kanmi Grass and Kanmi Potions, and fight in a way that minimizes the number of your allies lost.

The nearby treasure chest contains a Kanmi Potion, while the distant treasure chest contains 700 Ril.

In the middle section, you'll progress by using Kanata's warp ability to avoid being detected by the enemy.
It's easy if you choose to advance through areas where there are no enemies.
You gain experience points at each point where you warp, so you can earn experience points by intentionally getting a game over (although it takes a lot of time and isn't very worthwhile).

In the second part, you can probably clear it without fighting unnecessarily, but try to defeat as many enemies as possible.
While using bows against flying units is a common tactic in SRPGs, it's not very effective in this game.
You'll deal more damage by simply slashing with the Silver Sword.
Let's use Zaha, Opera, and Shuna's magic to whittle down the enemy's health, then surround one enemy and concentrate our attacks on them.

Archers don't need to attack; they can be used as decoys while healing, which is sufficient.
It would be a waste to let your units be defeated while you're still using healing items, so have other units heal any injured allies.

Episode 8: Secret Weapon

In the first part, we will advance both vertically and horizontally.
Without Kanata and the others, the lower units will have a bit of a hard time, but they'll be fine if they advance little by little.
If you take the upper route, as you approach the ship's gangway, one enemy airman and one dragon knight will appear nearby.
Since it's difficult to inflict damage with normal attacks, use your allies as decoys and focus your attacks on Kanata and his group.

In the second part, there are many allied forces, and after advancing a short distance, the allied forces on the left and right converge in the center, resulting in a chaotic battle.
There are many enemies, but their stats are lowered, so I don't think it will be as difficult as it looks.
Prioritize healing allied knights and other units with high attack power.
If we concentrate our attacks on the wounded enemies and steadily reduce their numbers, I think we'll eventually be able to surround Radu with a large group.

Episode 9 Gravity

First, we'll deal with the monsters coming from the left.
At that time, leave about three people behind to deal with the several enemies coming from the south of the village.
Alternatively, instead of attacking, it might be better to lure them inside the fence and intercept them there.
The dragon is strong, but you can defeat it without taking any damage by whittling it down from a distance with Fudge's Air Spear and Quon's Chronoslash, and then finishing it off with Meri and the others' powerful attacks.

Once you've dealt with a certain number of enemies, a group of bandits will appear southeast of the village and head towards you.
Before they get close, I'll heal the HP of any injured members.

Since you can cross the village fence and the nearby river, let's send Kuon south alone to persuade the bandit leader.
If you block the entrance to the town with a defensive Bitter or a Puree with the Forest's Blessing activated, the damage will be minimal.
If you persuade them, the bandits will become your allies, and your reputation will increase by 400 (while decreasing by 200 Lil).
However, bandits aren't very reliable as a fighting force, so it's best to think of them only as cannon fodder.

Once you've reduced the number of enemies to a certain extent, Shiro will appear from the cave to the east, and reinforcements will also appear nearby.
Before they get close, try to eliminate as many other enemies as possible.
The treasure chest in the bottom right contains a silver ingot (which sells for 500 Ril).
If both of the village soldiers survive, your reputation will increase by 800.

In the second part, let's start by defeating the enemies in the bottom right corner one by one.
There are many of them, but since they are all in a weakened state, they shouldn't be as dangerous as they look.
If you eliminate all of them, your immobile allies in the rear will turn into enemies, and numerous reinforcements will appear.
In the next turn, Kuon and her group will appear from the north of the map.

Cardina and Nicky are formidable opponents.
Caldina will retreat once it takes a certain amount of damage, so if it's getting in your way, attack it to make it retreat.
Both of them are formidable opponents, but since we have more numbers, we can overwhelm them by using powerful techniques repeatedly.

The treasure chest at the bottom of the map contains a Mithril Buckler, and the one at the top contains a Frey Shield (water resistance).
The Frey Shield cannot be obtained at the start of the stage, so have Quon's unit retrieve it.

Episode 10: Blessing from the Abyss

Since we have a large number of allies, I think the battle will be quite easy.
Fill the front row with tough members and advance with the image of taking down any approaching group of enemies in one fell swoop.
If a member has used up too much MP, you can let them rest a little further back, and they'll recover before the next battle.

Since Caldina is tough, let's conserve her power to prevent our allies with high-powered moves from being defeated.
Note that defeating the enemy does not immediately result in clearing the stage.
The objective is to transport the parking lot into the city, so equipping wing parts will make it easier to force your way through.
You can get 300 Lil by investigating the "interesting spots" that are glowing on the map.

In the second part of the map, make effective use of the narrow paths to take advantage of Hatsunagi and Rokum's area-of-effect attacks.
Aside from monsters, they're not that strong.

The objective to win is to attack Hatsunagi with Farbreton, but ultimately it shifts to weakening Farbreton to some extent, so be prepared to fight with all your might.
(If you defeat Farbreton before talking to Hatsunagi, you will be unable to complete the game.)
The treasure chest on the roof contains Tatsumakimuku's Feather (an item that increases movement speed and other abilities).

In the map for the second part (part 3), enemies will only approach you when you are within range, unless you get close to the main street.
The allied unit on the left center should circle around the house from the southwest and rendezvous with Kanata and the others.
After joining forces, I think it will be easier to fight if we head north.

Heavy Magic Knights are tough, but they can be dealt significant damage with projectile-type magic.
Furthermore, fennel takes almost no damage from attacks other than its weakness, fire.
Characters who can use fire, such as Macaroni, Augis, and Borong, should conserve their MP to some extent and be careful not to get defeated along the way (Opera and Shuna lack firepower).

You will receive 3000 Lil if you defeat Fennel.

Episode 11: Faded Dreams

Since the number of allies will decrease rapidly, don't forget to take out your equipment from your stock.
The enemies often come in groups, so try to lure them in and defeat them with Hatsunagi's area-of-effect attack.
Both Kuon and Kanata have learned new techniques and become stronger, so I think the battle will be easier.
However, be careful, because if you hesitate, reinforcements will keep coming from the upper left and bottom.

The blue treasure chest in the bottom left contains the Book of Wind Magic, so use Kanata's warp to retrieve it.
The red treasure chest in the upper right contains a gold ingot.

Episode 12 Seasonings

The first half of the map has a large number of enemies, so use the narrower areas to avoid being surrounded by them.
If enemies are clustered together, you can easily take them all out with Hatsunagi's area-of-effect attack.

The second half of the map changes to a map on Augis's side.
Ballistas can be neutralized with Baklava's Haze Armor, so use it when you get close to their attack range.
Be careful, as Ashley, with her low defense, is often targeted.
Using Shuna's amulet in conjunction will further increase stability.

The red treasure chest contains 1000 Ril.

Episode 13: Overpass

Hatsunagi is not useful in battle, so let's run away from the enemy's attack range.
Mummies aren't scary as long as you don't get too close.
The only enemy you really need to be careful of is the Basilisk, so try to limit your powerful special moves to using them on the Basilisk.

In the second part, nine of us plus three allies will attack the city.
The fire won't go out until turn 11, so there's no need to rush.
Each enemy is fairly strong, so it's important not to rush in too hastily.
If you use Baklava's Haze Armor to counter shooters and archers, you can attack relatively safely.

Barbin is tough, but his range is only 1-2, so keep your distance and chip away at his health.

Episode 14: The Enemy Behind

To simply clear the stage, you just need to keep your party of seven or fewer so that Augis doesn't get defeated.
However, you'll want to defeat as many enemies as possible to earn money.

Using the cliff in front, you can hold your ground with just one healer and a few ranged attackers.
The enemy forces on the right are also relatively few in number, so I think we can take care of the first wave if we assign two or more of our own controllable air units to them.
Therefore, it would be wise to allocate more troops to the left-hand unit in the early stages of the battle.

Once you've dealt with the first wave on the left, you can regroup with your units from the front and right, while simultaneously stretching out the enemy formations coming from the left, which will make the battle a little easier.
By the time the clocks start moving and approach the town, it will probably be around turn 14, so you should either fight or retreat to buy some time.

The second part is a battle against the elves.
Since all the enemies have high attack power, you'll be defeated quickly if you're subjected to concentrated attacks.
I think the best strategy is to make good use of Pure's area-of-effect healing abilities while actively using powerful special moves to aim for a quick and decisive battle.
The red treasure chest contains a unicorn horn (which increases maximum MP when equipped).
Let's use Kanata's warp to get it.

Episode 15: The Thorny Path to Walk Barefoot

We will advance together with our allies.
Let's leave the side roads to our allies, and Lokum and the main force should advance along the central road.
You can have the controllable flying units and other guest units provide support along the left-hand route.
We don't have Baklava, so we can't counter the shooters, but I think our allies will act as a decoy, so let's charge in and take them down in one turn.

Barbin has a weakness that makes him manageable, but Sarly is a formidable opponent.
Since there are few members that can be effectively attacked, let's fight by granting them power gain.
Area-of-effect magic is troublesome because it not only inflicts poison damage but also reduces your attack power, so make sure to set up a formation that allows you to heal immediately with Isuka Heal.
The red treasure chest above contains 200 Lil and a Kanmi Potion.

In the second map, a large number of enemies eventually appear on the cathedral side, so it will be a long battle.
To begin with, head south across the bridge in front of you and try to persuade Shiro.
On turn 5, a large number of reinforcements will appear from the cathedral, but for now, ignore them and prioritize persuading Shiro.
If you persuade Shiro to join your party, he will not only become your ally but also make all monsters except the skeletons retreat.
However, more reinforcements will appear on the cathedral's side, so let's prepare to meet them.
Regular soldiers aren't very strong, so prioritize targeting the mages and knights.
You can clear the stage by defeating Napage, but why not try to defeat Mint as well?

The red treasure chest contains Mithril Mail.

Chapter 16: The Cauldron of Hell

This map features a large number of units deployed on both the enemy and friendly sides.
There are two routes: a central route and a southern coastal route. The coastal route is recommended because it becomes easier to progress through due to events.
If left alone, the large number of allied forces in the center will defeat Barbin and then I think they will get into a stalemate against Sarly.
Meanwhile, your troops should flank from the south and defeat the enemy commanders one by one.

When your controlled unit enters the city walls, ambushes will appear from around the walls.
While not a large number, please be careful when entering the area.
Clock and Sarly are tough, so boosting their attack power with Power Gain before attacking will allow you to deal damage more efficiently.
The blue treasure chest inside the castle walls contains a Healing Rod.

In the second part, you will fight alongside your allies.
Since your main force will be coming from the north of the map, Eclair should fight around the town, blending in with your allies.
Being petrified by a basilisk renders you immobile and is dangerous, so be careful.

On turn 6, Clock and his group will appear as playable allies from the road in the lower left of the map.
Send them towards the center and annihilate the enemy.

By turn 9, the remaining Neotems will start moving.
It would be best to engage them in the easily combatible terrain around the town.
Neotem is a very tough opponent, so it's generally best to aim for victory by letting turns pass.
Even if you don't inflict damage, you can still gain a decent amount of experience points just by attacking.
If they have free hands, it would be a good idea to let them attack.
The stage is cleared at the start of your turn on the 16th turn.

The blue treasure chest in the upper left contains Bugle (Skill Command: Attack and hit +5 for allies within 3 spaces of the owner)

Chapter 17 Human and Demon Unity

There is a time limit of 12 turns, but since the enemy will charge, you shouldn't run out of time.
However, in the early stages, you can be easily defeated if you are attacked by a large number of enemies at once, so it's best to deliberately wait within the attack range of several enemies, whittle them down with counterattacks, and then retreat.
Instead of engaging in a direct confrontation, we fight while retreating until we've reduced the enemy's numbers to a certain extent.

If you place the Halva near its starting position in a "point of interest," its enhancement and release power will increase by +1.

The second part is a map where you attack together with a large number of allied forces.
Let's try to persuade each of the named enemy fixed units.
Once you persuade Bowlong with Cashew, he will become unable to attack, so defeat him while he's still in his place.
Also, if you persuade Macaroni with mille-feuille, he will retreat, and you will gain fame.

You'll have to defeat Turun and Bakram on your own (probably).
Turun has no weaknesses, but since he only has attacks with a range of 1-2, you can fight him relatively easily by chipping away at his health from a distance.

The blue treasure chest on the left of the map contains a White Cape (immunity to poison and paralysis, HP +35, Defense +2, Magic Defense +5).

Chapter 18: A Premonition of War

In the first part, you'll be fighting with a small group of people.
First, let's head over to eliminate the enemy on the audience side.
Since fighting multiple enemies at once is dangerous, you can temporarily reduce the number of enemies you have to deal with by using Taffy's shock traps to knock them out.
Make sure to utilize map-wide attacks such as Sally's Hazard Arrow and Eclair's Flying Swallow Slash.

In the second part, there are many enemies, so try to avoid being surrounded by gathering them in one direction and engaging them all at once.
When Meri attacks Asespha in a combined human-radiance attack, an event occurs and her technique evolves.
At the same time, your HP will be fully restored, and your MP recovery speed will increase dramatically, making battles much easier.
The blue treasure chest contains an Air Bolt Shield.

The second part begins with you surrounded by enemies, so it might be a good idea to head northwest while trying to collect the treasure chests.
Let's move Shiro to a safe area using World Door or something similar.

In the early stages, there are many regular soldiers with a range of 1, so they're not a threat if you build a wall.
Be careful of concentrated attacks when archers are clustered together.
As you approach the battle with Zuccotto, many mages, such as knights, will appear, so it's a good idea to whittle them down with long-range attacks.

The blue treasure chest contains the Mithril Arm Sword.

Episode 19: Kanom and Kokto

The goal is to defeat Buan within 15 turns.
There aren't many strong enemies, so let's concentrate our forces and launch a full-scale attack.
In the early stages, the narrow route tends to get congested, so it's a good idea to have a certain number of players head north via the right-hand route while collecting treasure chests.
Reinforcements will appear from the upper right on turn 7, so we can't afford to waste too much time.

The yellow treasure chest on the left route contains 2000 Lil.
The blue treasure chest on the right contains a book of poison magic.
The red treasure chest above contains a sweet potion.

The second part features a stage with a large number of enemies, resembling a decisive battle.
Let's not pursue them unnecessarily, and instead fight near the forest.

On the fourth turn, Kuon and his group will appear from the upper right.
After joining forces, wait in the crowded forest where the enemy's movement will be slowed, and wipe them out with a map-wide weapon.

If you persuade Shuna with Kanata, you can move Shuna far away.
Since defeating Shuna will result in a loss, pay close attention to Kanata's positioning.
When facing enemy bosses like Farbreton, conserve the MP of characters like Quon, Clock, and Meri, and defeat them with powerful special moves.

If you wait in the spot that catches your eye near the tomb on the right, you can obtain Malto Grass.
The blue treasure chest in the bottom left contains a Healing Rod.
It will be difficult to retrieve it without Kanata's warp, but let's wait until we've persuaded Shuna.
Since it's something you can buy at a store, you can probably just skip it.

Episode 20: The Hero and the Demon King

The first part begins with the unit largely divided.
That said, we're not surrounded, so let's proceed cautiously.
Since many of your allies are within Karakum's range, make sure to heal any units that are critically injured as soon as possible.
The enemies are all monsters, but their attack power seems generally higher than before, so be careful with units that have low defense.
You can clear the game by defeating Nikki and Fudge.

In the second part, four members will be selected from the six Hakuru Knights before the event begins.
Since they're difficult to deploy on the front lines anyway, I feel that units with longer ranges are safer and easier to use.
In the later stages, tough monsters such as Arachne, Necromancer, and Demon await, so use Zuccot, Hakul Knight, and Mel to clear the early enemies.
For tough boss-level enemies, it's more efficient to use Power Gain and leave it to characters like Quon and Kanata.
Upon reaching the main hall, an event will trigger and reinforcements will appear. Your next objective will be for Kanata to move to the leftmost wall (near the blue treasure chest).
It would be best to have Kanata waiting around here beforehand to ensure a smooth process.

The blue treasure chest in the bottom left contains the Earth Dragon.
If you examine the corpse on the far right, you will obtain some Katchi grass.

In the middle section, Jalebi, Opera, and Beigner fight against the archers by themselves.
You should be able to defeat it easily by using its weakness, fire, so let's defeat it quickly.

In the second part, Clock and his two companions will first engage the enemy.
Reinforcements will appear from the ship on the left side of the map, so the game will proceed with you going to capture them.
On the third turn, reinforcements for your army will appear from the bottom right of the map, and the objective will change to getting Buan to the fortress.
Let's use a grappling hook or similar to pull Buan along.

Although the situation for our allies is not good, they manage to turn things around somewhat, with additional reinforcements arriving from within the fortress along the way, and an event at the start of turn 5 that restores 50 HP and boosts morale.
Let's work together effectively with our allies to intercept the enemy.
If you advance slowly, Augis will approach Buan's troops, but you can still clear the stage by defeating Augis, so that's fine too.

Part B of the second half is the section where you control the Farbreton side.
The troops will advance, splitting into left and right flanks.
Kadayuf on the left is very powerful.
The ultimate technique, "Zero-Style Dragon Blade," should be used only against boss-level enemies.
While moving, frequently use Deep Sea Breath to accelerate MP recovery.
On the right side, Farbreton and Youka are strong, so we'll proceed with them as the core of the strategy.
Since both sides have many allied forces, let's advance while acting as a shield and not pushing too far ahead.

If you advance smoothly to the fortress, there should be quite a few allied forces remaining.
Let's let our allies hold out for a while while we recover the MP of our control unit.
Depending on the relative positions of friendly and enemy units, friendly air units may head towards Ashley, so be careful.

Episode 21: The Sky Beyond

This map requires you to have Pastel wait at a designated point before withdrawing.
There are many enemies, but they're just regular soldiers, so they're not very tough.
It's dangerous if you get surrounded in an open area, but otherwise, you can just push through without any particular problems.
Let's go around from the south and burn down the house.
After a while, Gadjetas will appear from the north, so run away to avoid a direct fight.
After burning down the house with pastels, I'll head north.
There are many enemies near the escape point, but they are not strong enough for Pastel to handle alone.
Let's lure Gadgetus in a different direction to buy ourselves some time for Pastel to escape.

The red treasure chest in the bottom left contains an iron ingot.
The red treasure chest in the upper right contains Mapojo Grass.

The second map in "Sho" is a map where you fight monsters in a forest.
Dragons and chimeras are somewhat strong, but you can avoid them by staggering your combat timing and moving in a way that prevents you from encountering them in the same turn.
At worst, since Kuon's level is high, we can use her as a tank to hold off one of the enemies.

In the "Turning Point" map, you will work with your allies to defeat the Gadgetas.
The allied forces on the left are at a slight disadvantage, so it might be a good idea to send someone with high mobility, like Kuon, to help them.
From the middle of the game onward, many enemies will move south towards the center.
They are easier to defeat if you use Heatwave or Bubble Flash on them while they are clustered together.

The red treasure chest on the right contains a potion box (Evasion -20, contains 10 potions).
The blue treasure chest in the upper left contains a Grab Shield (which provides earth elemental resistance, etc.).

The "Ketsu" map is a map that showcases the powered-up strength of Kuon.
Shortly after the game starts, Quon will acquire Horizon and be able to use magic.
The newly acquired Time Wedge is a wide-area, high-power map weapon that is easy to use.
Let's fire at the densely packed enemy forces.
The enemies in the early stages are weak, but Dennis and Bykant, whom you'll face later, are fairly strong, so be careful not to let Quon get too far ahead.
The blue treasure chest in the bottom left contains a Snowhawk feather (Movement +2, Accuracy +10, Evasion +5).

Episode 22: Further Beyond

First, let's look at the battlefield on the ship.
There are some monsters we've never seen before, but our units are strong, so we shouldn't be outmatched.
Since there are no units that can use healing magic, be sure to prepare with potions, Dolce Symbols, and Heal Rods.
Star Anise weakens attacks from within two squares, but attacks from Rule of God or Zero-Type can still be effective even from within their range.
Let's defeat them quickly without worrying too much.

The next map is one where you fight a horde of demons.
The objective is to persuade Natsume with Shiro, but if you want to collect the treasure chest, you should go around from the top.
If the contents of the treasure chest aren't appealing, it's quicker to just head straight for Natsume and clear the level.
By the way, persuading Natsume will increase your reputation.

The blue treasure chest on top of the ladder contains Zild Grass.
The red treasure chest above contains Kanmi Grass.
The yellow treasure chest contains 1900 Ril.

After clearing the game, new equipment will be available in the shop at your base.
There are items like Paladin armor and shields, as well as accessories that increase maximum MP, so purchase them as needed.

Episode 23: Dawn

This map requires you to remove three members from your starting lineup before fighting.
Since there are many enemies, instead of waiting and ambushing them in one spot, let's regroup with other units and then defend the area around the entrance to the fence.
It feels great to have some sturdy allied units waiting near the entrance and then wipe out the incoming enemy units with area-of-effect weapons.

Star Anise will start moving from the enemy's 8th turn.
Just like with the previous version, attacking within two turns will significantly reduce the damage, so it's best to attack from a distance.
However, Unite-type attacks can be quite effective against it.

The blue treasure chest below contains the Book of Fire Magic.
The yellow treasure chest above contains 3000 Ril.

The next map will feature you facing off against Sabi, Natsume, and others.
First, let's quickly eliminate the enemy to take down our allied bandits.
If the goal is to reliably protect the bandit allies, Kuon can be safely defended by retreating to the south where there are no enemies.
Reinforcements will appear periodically from various directions, so it's best to stay as close together as possible so you can respond no matter where they come from.

The red treasure chest contains a magic bomb.
The yellow treasure chest contains 2400 Ril.
The blue treasure chest contains the Book of Ice Magic.
After clearing the game, you will receive items corresponding to each of the three surviving bandits.
(I was defeated by one person and obtained a sweet potion and a quick herb.)

Chapter 24: The Ultimate Technique

This map is cleared by defeating at least one demon.
In my case, I sent all my manually controlled units towards the Dadagon in the bottom left and defeated it.
After a while, Shtia and Rakugan will appear on the far right of the map, but they are not strong enough to be a significant force, so the best you can do is send them to collect the treasure chest below.

The treasure chest in the bottom left contains Strograss.
A treasure chest near the Rakugan spawn point contains a Night Buckler.

In the middle section, after sending the knight's servant to the left, you can defeat the enemies in front of you in one turn with Clock and his group to ensure your safety.
With each turn, Jalebi and Benier arrive, followed by Shiro and other reinforcements.
The goal is to survive 10 turns without the clock being defeated, so don't take unnecessary risks and just try to escape.

The objective of the second part is for Quon and Aspart to fight.
Meanwhile, Jalebi's event will proceed, and once that is finished, Beignets and Jamoca will appear in the bottom left corner.
If things stay as they are, they'll be isolated and in danger, but Natsume and the ninjas will show up as reinforcements, so it should be manageable even if you don't send anyone.
Aspart is level 70, so you can get a lot of experience points just by fighting it.
Combining it with a jujube charm and using it for bossing might be a good idea.

The blue treasure chest in the upper center contains the Magic Purple Gem Ring.
The red treasure chest in the bottom right contains a sweet potion.
The yellow treasure chest in the upper right contains 8000 Ril.
The yellow treasure chest on the far left contains 2000 Ril.
The light purple treasure chest in the upper left contains Mapojo Grass.

Episode 25: The Snowmelt

This is a map where you control the Farbreton faction for the first time in a while.
Don't forget to review your inventory.

Reinforcements will appear from the rear on turn 4.
The objectives for clearing the stage also change to defeating Estrago (reputation +2000) and reaching Kynef's designated location, so hurry and head to the bottom left.
The reinforcement monsters have increased morale and enhanced stats, making them difficult to fight head-on.

The blue treasure chest to the left of your starting position contains a Gold Buckler.
The red treasure chest contains a potion box.

The middle section of the map is designed so that you lose if seven or more of your characters are incapacitated.
It's important to proceed cautiously, making sure you don't get defeated, no matter who you are.
After a while, the door above the starting point will open and the enemies will begin to move.

Also, when you reach the second set of stairs, three enemies will appear from a hole.

Three enemies will appear on the next set of stairs as well.
Since it's a Dark Bird and a Necromancer, they're a bit stronger than last time, so be careful.

Next, if you stand on the line where a hole has opened in the wall in the screenshot and stones are flowing out, reinforcements will appear in the small rooms in front of you and to the upper right.
After that, you'll be attacked from two directions simultaneously, so be careful.

After that, all the enemies in the boss room will move at once, but you only need to defeat Hoaji and Savory to clear the stage, so focus your attacks on them.
They're not that strong, so they should be much easier to fight than the demons we've faced so far.

The light blue treasure chest in the upper right contains Stroex (which increases enhancement power by 5).

In the second part, the victory conditions are to defeat Neotem, reduce the number of enemies to five or less, or wait 20 turns.
Since there were many enemies if I headed north from my starting position, I went around to the right first and then headed north.
After collecting the treasure chest, head south again and finish off the monsters that your allies have weakened.
If you want to collect the treasure chest on the left side of the map, this is a good time to use Baklava's assassination technique to go and retrieve it.
Once the number of enemies decreases to a certain level, Neotem will start to move in.
Therefore, if you keep as much distance as possible from Neotem, you should be able to escape for up to 20 turns.

The red treasure chest in the bottom right contains a sweet potion.
The yellow treasure chest in the upper right contains 3000 Ril.
The light purple treasure chest on the left contains hippopotamus extract.
The blue treasure chest in the upper left contains the White Cape.

Episode 26: The End of the Aristocracy

In the first part, you clear the stage by defeating three bosses and ending the turn, or by waiting 20 turns.
We have a large number of allied forces, and our mages, cannons, and ballistas are quite reliable, so let's make good use of them in battle.
Heading straight for the boss from the start would be dangerous due to insufficient firepower, so it's best to wait for reinforcements to arrive around the center of the town.

On turn 4, Turun, Parkin, Kadayuf, and Krok will appear from the left side of the map as allied reinforcements.
On turn 5, Fudge, Cardina, Fennel, and Nicky will appear as allied reinforcements from the lower right, near the center.
Let's bring our main forces together and then take down the bosses one by one, in order.
The order of events is as follows: First, Nan and Annette will come from the north, so defeat them both.
After that, Kuchina will come from the south, and defeating her will complete the stage.

The red treasure chest contains a potion box.
The blue treasure chest contains the monster coat.

The second part of the map involves first defending the mansion from enemies to the north, and then intercepting enemies from the east.
If we don't rush to the mansion quickly, our allies will be wiped out, so let's go ahead with mobile units like Baklava and Fennel.
On turn 4, Shukel and Borong will appear near the target you are defending and help you out.
There are no enemy reinforcements expected, so once we've cleared out the enemy to the north, we can safely move our forces eastward.

Boss-level demons are positioned along both the upper and lower routes, so be careful with your force allocation.
Techniques with piercing effects and unit-type techniques can deal significant damage to bosses, so you should arrange your units so that there isn't an imbalance in the number of units that can use these techniques.

Chapter 27: The Three Demon Generals

During a sub-event at the start of the stage, there is an event where you can process Fortuna into a bracelet.
The equipment you receive will vary depending on the option you choose.

- Enhancement of time magic
Eternal Bracelet (HP +15, Enhancement/Release Power +7, Defense/Magic Defense +8, Judgment +5, Movement +1)
Prediction skill → Command skill: Evades up to 3 attacks in one turn.

・Space magic enhancement
Bracelet of the Other Side (HP +12, Enhancement Power/Emission Power +6, Defense Power/Magic Defense Power +7, Movement Power +1)
Teleportation magic available → Range 4, Area 4

- General-purpose enhancement
Bracelet of Destiny (HP +10, Enhancement Power, Release Power, Defense Power, Magic Defense +5, Movement +1)
Grants complete immunity to all negative status effects; can be equipped by anyone.

In the first part, you lose if seven or more of your allies are incapacitated.
The story suggests a quick breakthrough against the enemy, but here we'll use a waiting strategy to intercept them.
From the starting position near the fountain to the area between the stakes in the wall, take turns intercepting the enemies that will charge from the left, right, and below.

The yellow treasure chest contains 4000 Ril.
The red treasure chest contains an Overlord Glass.
The blue treasure chest contains a Paladin Shield.

In the second part, you select your units to deploy and aim to clear the stage within 20 turns (there's plenty of turns, so there's no need to rush).
Units deployed here cannot be deployed again.
However, if you are wiped out in the next map, you will be able to choose from all members, so you don't need to worry about getting stuck.

There are quite a lot of demons here, but some will retreat due to an event, so let's head north for now.
Since there are fewer enemies on the left, you can send only a few men there or leave them alone. On the right, you can send a few men there and then head north.
Matching the pace of your allies will make it easier to determine your marching route and speed.
All that's left is to proceed as planned, landing powerful special moves on the boss-level opponents.
We'd like to stagger the timing of engagements as much as possible, but since we have a large number of players, I think we'll have some leeway.

The yellow treasure chest in the center right contains 2000 Ril.
The blue treasure chest in the upper left contains Mithril Armor.
The light purple treasure chest in the upper center contains Shield Grass.

The second part is cleared by defeating Satsuka Star Anise Madeleine.
Splitting the troops would be a hassle, so let's all head south together.
If your strategy is to engage the enemy each time you get close, regroup, and then advance again, I don't think you'll ever be overwhelmed.
I think Augis and Star Anise will engage the enemy at roughly the same time, but since we now have more people who can use Unite, I think we'll be able to manage.
As before, Star Anise's damage will decrease if you don't attack from a distance.
Satsuka's map-wide attack, Armageddon, is troublesome, so try to avoid clustering together or be prepared to quickly heal your area of effect.

The light purple treasure chest on the left of the map contains Mapojo Grass.
The blue treasure chest near Madeleine in the bottom right contains the Duke's Robe (HP +35, Defense +4, Magic Defense +3, Judgment +2).
The blue treasure chest behind the sign in the center right contains a Power Scream.

Episode 28: A Millennium of Heroes

Added in May 2024 (Western calendar)During the initial free movement phase, if you talk to Saboly first, then to Millefeuille Saboly, it seems Saboly will join your party (information provided by an anonymous contributor).

The enemies in the first part are mostly regular soldiers, so they aren't very strong.
It's fine to fight haphazardly, but it's dangerous if you get chipped away at by turrets and then subjected to concentrated fire.
If you pay attention to those points, I think you'll be able to clear it with ease.

The red treasure chest in the upper left contains a sweet potion.
The blue treasure chest in the upper right contains a Tatsumakimuku feather.

In the middle section, there are free slots for deploying units, but since there are mandatory and undeployable units, I feel that who you choose for the free slots won't have a significant impact.
The choice between the northern route and the eastern main road route is a matter of preference.
On the main street, reinforcements will appear twice (4 Hakuro Knights and 2 Elves).

Since there are many enemies and it will be a long battle, if you have any sweet potions saved up, you should use them now.
After defeating Chikuro once, he will revive as a dragon.
Let's get ready before he delivers the final blow in his human form, and then we'll finish him off all at once.

The red treasure chest in the bottom right contains a sweet potion.
The yellow treasure chest to the north contains 5000 Ril.
The blue treasure chest to the north contains a unicorn horn.

The second part features a map where enemies attack from three directions.
First, it's best to split your troops into two groups and head south, aiming for the entrance to the castle below.
Augis will appear as reinforcements from the bottom right, so it's most efficient to have Ashley head to the right.
To persuade Ashley, it would be helpful to have Jalebi or Fennel, who have positioning skills, with us.

On the enemy's fourth turn, some of the enemies that were positioned above will move south.
On turn 5, reinforcements including Rakugan will appear from the entrance at the bottom.
On the enemy's fifth turn, Ryusha and her group will also move south.
On turn 6, Nikki and Cucina will appear as allied reinforcements from the lower entrance.
Later, Zuccotto also appears near the entrance.

To intercept the Ryusha coming from above, it's easiest to wait just outside the entrance.

Since Neotem has high mobility, it will arrive first, so I think we'll be engaging it first.
For the bosses you'll be fighting from here on out, the basic strategy is to break their shields on the first turn.
Otherwise, you won't be able to deal damage as you'd like, and no matter how much MP you have, it won't be enough.

I think Satsuka and Ryusha will arrive almost simultaneously after Neotem.
Each enemy fires wide-area area-of-effect weapons, so you'll be wiped out unless you spread out to some extent.
It would be a good idea to have a formation that allows for area-of-effect healing immediately.

If you can get them to use their area-of-effect weapon first, there aren't many other ways to attack them.
Break their shields first, then use your powerful special moves in order.

The yellow treasure chest on the left contains 5000 Ril.
The red treasure chest on the right contains a sweet potato.
(The blue treasure chest at the top has not yet been collected.)
Added in May 2024"In the second half of 'Hero's Millennium,' the upper blue treasure chests contained bikini armor on the right and Malto Extract on the left," according to an anonymous Kokuto soldier.

Episode 29 Killing flowers

There's nothing particularly noteworthy to write about in the first part.

The second part features a rare indoor battle.
The enemy will approach us even if we don't attack, so let's stay together until the situation calms down.
After a while, allied reinforcements, Fennel, Nicky, and Puree, will appear from the stairs in the lower right.
If the number of enemies increases, use the corridors to retreat while continuing to fight.
The enemies in the later stages are as strong as mid-bosses, so be careful not to waste your MP.

Collecting treasure chests might be easier with Fennel, as she can act twice and pass through walls using Blast Move.
The blue treasure chest in the bottom left contains the Holy Tiara.
The blue treasure chest in the upper left contains a Power Scream.

The second part features a map where enemies are suddenly positioned right in front of you.
Since the enemies are close, if you move everyone out of their attack range at the top of the screen, they will gradually advance, making it easier to defeat them one by one.
Maintaining as much distance as possible and keeping a defensive stance will make the fight easier.
Focus on using units with long-range attacks in battle.

The yellow treasure chest on the left contains 3000 Ril.
The red treasure chest on the right contains a sweet potion.

Episode 30: Kuon and Kanata

The opening battle is a map where you must escape while avoiding the enemy's movement range.
Use wing parts, grappling hooks, and air rides to speed up any units that are lagging behind.
Avoid the enemy's attack range and head towards the upper right.
The Chimera waiting in the lower right is unavoidable, and defeating it will cause all the enemies behind to chase after you.
They shouldn't be able to catch up, so let's continue heading towards the upper right.
Reinforcements will appear twice near the escape point, so make sure to have your main force, such as Jalebi, lead the way.

The blue treasure chest contains the Holy Tiara.

In the maps for "Break," you can again choose your deployment members to some extent.
The units you select here can be used in the next map, but please note that units that have been defeated cannot be used.
Also, just to be safe, it might be a good idea to deploy some commoner units that can use stock.

Our basic strategy is to avoid taking the initiative and instead employ a waiting tactic.
The enemies move in small increments, so you should be able to deal with them comfortably by defeating them as they come.
Let's fight patiently by staying just outside the enemy's attack range, waiting for them to come within range, and then attacking with all our units on the next turn.
When fighting bosses, as before, make sure to put them in a shield-break state before engaging in combat.
Just like before, Cyclamate will revive even after being defeated, so be careful.

The final map involves splitting your forces into different groups to fight.
Our first goal is to regroup, but the unit in the upper left is small in number and somewhat isolated.
We'd like to allocate some strong units here (although Oleg will join us on turn 2).

On the enemy's fifth turn, you'll be given a choice of where Kuon and her companions should rush to.
The choice you make here will determine where you appear on turn 6, so it's a good idea to choose a location near a battlefield where you're having trouble (the image above shows what happens when you choose to appear on a rooftop).

Our immediate goal is to destroy the deadly zones that generate reinforcements.
The area of death to the right of Satsuka is difficult to access, but after defeating all the other enemies, try to eliminate this area as well if possible.

Satsuka will revive once you defeat her.
At the same time, one Black Demon and Neotem appear to the left and right of Satsuka.
Since its HP is a massive 6666, use Shield Break to fight it.
However, during the enemy's turn, they will launch a wide-area attack with a map weapon and will also get another turn, so avoid prolonged battles.
When afflicted with the Curse status, normal healing becomes impossible, but area-of-effect healing will still work.
Shuna's healing talisman has a wide range, so make sure to use sweet potions and Ashley's Sheer Heart to ensure that healing doesn't lag behind.
Its defensive capabilities have dropped considerably since before its revival, so even non-Unite users should be able to inflict damage.
Let's mobilize all our regular soldiers and launch an attack.

The red treasure chest in the bottom left contains Kanmiren (which heals everyone when used).
The red treasure chest in the bottom right contains Sweet Medicine (fully restores MP).
The light purple treasure chest on the central roof contains Mapojo extract.
The red treasure chest in the upper left contains a sweet potion.
The blue treasure chest in the upper right contains the Star Arm Sword.

After clearing the game, there's an epilogue that lasts about an hour to an hour and a half.
Let's slowly savor the moment.

On the subsequent base screen, you can repeatedly play through the maps you've already covered as quests.
You can challenge yourself to defeat a formidable enemy you couldn't beat before, or you can strengthen your favorite character.

Character impressions (contains spoilers)

This section contains major spoilers, so I recommend not reading it before you've finished the game.
Please note that the comments regarding the unit's performance are based on personal experience, and opinions may differ depending on how it is used.
Please forgive me.

・ Quon

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
In the early stages, you cannot use magic and can only perform direct attacks with Fortuna.
However, once you learn Chronoslash, which is effective against multiple attributes, and gain access to unique commands, you can become a reliable force in battle.
In terms of stats, it's not bad to improve, and it gives the impression of being a late bloomer.

In terms of story development, this character showed the most significant growth.
At first, he seemed like a sheltered prince who disliked being protected by Kanata, but as he has gained various experiences, I feel he is becoming more and more capable of being a king.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, their stats will grow to be top-tier, and they will learn even more powerful techniques.
In terms of both power and range, it's safe to say that the protagonist's abilities are excellent.
The fact that Horizon's normal attack has a range of 1-2 is subtly convenient, and it proved to be quite effective against weaker enemies.
Skills with the piercing skill, rather than the armor-piercing skill, can be expected to deal more damage while ignoring defense.

Since being recognized as the Demon Lord, he seems to have gained confidence, and we can now see him demonstrating strong leadership by clearly defining his policies and moving forward.
He seems to have inherited some of his father's traits when it comes to relationships with women, but since he's friendly to everyone, it's no surprise that he's popular.
You're not making anyone unhappy; people are just naturally drawn to you, so let's just accept it.

Kanata

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Contrary to appearances, this character is a power character whose main attack method in the early stages is close-range attacks with a staff.
By using warp after moving, they possess the mobility to easily catch up even if their advance is slightly delayed.
Many treasure chests are easy to collect using warp points, so make full use of this feature.
Using World Door is useful for retreating overly advanced allied units, but there's a dilemma: ideally, you'd want to participate in the attack with abilities like Subspace Wave.

At first, she seemed like Kuon's older sister, but as Kuon grew up, Kanata seemed to be left behind.
Now Kanata comes across as a spoiled brat, which makes for a nice contrast with Kuon.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the latter half of the story, he becomes a demon lord and takes a long leave of absence, but upon his rejoining, he becomes a powerful unit on par with Kuon.
The long range and shield break provided by the Sky-Splitting Calamity is useful against bosses.
On the other hand, since there aren't any skills that consume just the right amount of MP against regular enemies, I mainly used it as a boss killer.

Upon rejoining the group, perhaps due to her integration with Quon, the instability she had previously exhibited was gone, and she seemed to have regained the cheerful demeanor she had at the very beginning.
The former staff, which resembles a halo, looks divine, creating a stark contrast with her words and actions.

・Shuna

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
With its fuel-efficient Shikigami Bomb and its highly defensive talisman deployment, this unit is useful in both aspects.
However, its low defensive capabilities and the short range of its Shikigami Bomb make it an easy target for enemies, which is a drawback.
It would be best to use other units in a way that prevents them from being defeated, such as using Kanata's World Door or Turun's Protect.

She's a talented and kind young lady who cares deeply for her friends, but the conflict she faces because she's forced to become materialistic due to the circumstances of her family is fascinating.
With her monastic robes being unnecessarily revealing, she's a character who can't shake off the image of being somewhat unfortunate and unfortunate.
That sense of vulnerability might be what stimulates Saha's protective instincts, given his otherwise flawless demeanor.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, many high-powered techniques that utilize its high release power were effective, and it performed well against slightly stronger mid-boss level opponents.
Shikigami Bind and Shikigami Surfing were powerful because they could inflict massive damage on opponents with specific weaknesses.
Additionally, the Healing Talisman, a ranged healing technique, had a wide area of effect and was reasonably effective, making it useful for recovering from enemy area attacks.

In the story, she seemed a little indecisive, but I'm glad that she was able to mature thanks to her grandmother.
However, I feel that the combination of Zaha and Shuna might be difficult, as they tend to have trouble expressing their thoughts directly to each other, or they may be lacking in communication skills.

Jalebi

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
With its high mobility and fuel-efficient shurikens, this unit is a fairly reliable attacker.
When used in conjunction with combo attack skills, it possesses sufficient attack power to be effective even against tough enemies.
However, be aware that it has low durability.

It's admirable that you can maintain your composure even in such a tense situation.
He has excellent movement speed and is portrayed as a very capable character in the story, but the fact that he doesn't give off that impression might mean he's a true ninja.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
Throughout the entire game, there are numerous opportunities to learn new techniques, making it feel like you're being given preferential treatment.
Since elemental skills consume equipment slots, it's a tough decision whether to prioritize ability enhancements or skill enhancements.
The powerful Buddha Wisdom Slash has the effect of being the first strike and piercing armor, so it is possible to defeat the enemy without taking any damage by counterattacking during their turn.
MP consumption tends to be high, but its extremely high movement speed made it quite useful in the later stages of the game.

・Parking

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit is well-balanced in both offense and defense, making it easy to use.
The Flame Spear's magic attack, the Aqua Heal's healing, and the Stingray's physical attack all have a moderate effect.
Until it learns Marine Arrow, its short range is a drawback, but its defensive capabilities are also high, so it should be fine to use it on the front lines.

He is a highly intelligent prince who keeps a firm grasp on reality.
Despite being a realist, his inability to completely abandon his human side makes him a fascinating character.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
The second half feels a bit underwhelming until you learn the Noble Finish technique.
Even Noble Finish has a range of 1, so you'll often end up relying on Marine Arrow for long-range attacks.
However, the overall stats are high and the attacks are powerful, so I have no particular complaints other than the limited variety of moves.

Since I started siding with Quon, even though we were outwardly adversaries, I felt a sense of security knowing that he would definitely come to my aid.
Ultimately, they became such close friends that it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call them best friends, and you could really feel the precious bond between these two men.

·cashew

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Its attack power is low, and it's not good at elemental attacks that exploit weaknesses.
However, it has the offensive power to overwhelm opponents with its enhanced abilities and the power of its slashing attacks.
Its defensive capabilities are also quite high, so it can hold its own against opponents other than mages.

He's a loyal warrior character, and his appearances in the story are relatively limited.
He's a cute character, for example, when he gets embarrassed when Turun, who's the opposite type of person to him, gets involved with him.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
The units' performance doesn't change much in the second half either; long-range attacks still rely on Vacuum Slash.
With its high strength and defensive capabilities, it fought toughly as a vanguard on the front lines.

Throughout the story, his character remained unchanged, and he consistently remained on Touga's side, which instilled a sense of trust.
The sword fighting tournament event really showcased their high level of skill, and it was very impressive.

・Borlong

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This is a typical magic-based unit.
In particular, Inferno's overwhelming power comes in handy when you really need it.
It can also heal, making it consistently useful from the beginning of the game.
Its durability is relatively low, so be careful when approaching enemies.

I thought he was the same type of person as Cashew, but he was actually a member of the Farbreton family.
However, given his long tenure at Touga, it seems he has developed quite an emotional attachment to the company.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
Inferno remains useful in the later stages of the game due to its long range and high power.
Although its range is shorter, Death Stream is still powerful, so eliminating enemies other than bosses was not a problem.

In the story, it's understandable that Cocteau acts in the role of Farbreton's uncle.
However, I've always felt regret, so I couldn't bring myself to hate them.
His final words, that he would never come to Touga Castle again, may have been his way of bringing closure to the story.

Fudge

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit is useful for its long-range wind magic.
Its power isn't particularly high, but it's useful in the early stages of the game because it allows you to attack safely from a distance.

He was a dangerous character, but I was surprised that he would kill Kuon so early in the story.
Certainly, that situation presented a great opportunity, but the fact that he could carry out the assassination of royalty without hesitation suggests that he had already made up his mind.
Despite being a commoner and shifting allegiances, his unwavering desire for revenge against aristocratic society gives him a strong core.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, there will be a considerable gap before we get to the control unit.
By learning Zero Impact, I've been able to learn and easily use a high-powered technique, albeit at close range.
By the time you learn Zero Tempest, your output will be considerable, and you'll no longer feel like you're lacking firepower at all.

I didn't particularly like her character in the early to middle stages, but as she spent time with Cardina, Nicky, and others, forming a family-like relationship, I felt she mellowed out a bit.
At the end, there was an atmosphere suggesting that she might get along well with opera.
On the surface, he acts as if he hasn't given up on his desire for revenge, but I got the feeling that deep down he had forgiven them.
From the time she joined the party until I finished the game, she was one of the characters I gradually grew to like.

Puree

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
With the high-recovery abilities of Relive and Marine Axe, this magic warrior is reliable for both offense and healing.
The Forest's Blessing, a unique command, offers significant benefits for its effect, so I think it's fine to keep it active all the time.
While Marine Strom and Save Life are convenient to use, their high MP consumption is a problem as I tend to overuse them.

She's the type of woman who tries to act rationally, but is fundamentally emotional... or rather, an older sister type.
The compatibility between Meri and Kuon is the worst possible, given that both are obsessed with Kuon.
However, it could also be interpreted as a sign that they are close friends who fight a lot.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the latter half of the game, with other excellent healers and attackers available, this character seemed to fade into the background somewhat during battles.
While it's not entirely useless, as it can use high-healing and high-powered magic when deployed, its short range makes it prone to counterattacks, which made me hesitant to use it.

In the second half, the overly protective and troublesome mother character continued as usual, and the hostile interactions with the Quon Girls became a regular occurrence.

Bitter

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Since it's practically impossible to land an effective blow against a wizard, you're probably best off against regular soldiers or monsters.
However, the defensive command is useful when you want to lure enemies in or create a defensive wall.

He's someone who loves adventure stories about heroes, and he and Kuon had a lively conversation about them.
If this work is to be passed down as a heroic tale, then the author must be none other than Bitter.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the later stages of the battle, he is lacking in many aspects, so it's best to treat him as a reserve unit.
I realized that I could no longer use first aid, so I had to rely on items for recovery.

Since she keeps a diary just like the Panajets, I can't help but wonder if she might be a descendant of theirs.

・Mel

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Since it only has a move with a range of 1, it's a bit difficult to use effectively.
However, because of its high accuracy and evasion, it can be used as a reliable fighting force.
While it may lack explosive power, this unit boasts high sustained combat capability.

He is depicted as a picture-perfect gentleman, and in reality, he is a person of considerable character.
However, being overly considerate of Meri, who was family to him, resulted in a rather strained relationship.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, as with the first half, its short range meant it was constantly vulnerable to counterattacks, so I mainly used it to finish off enemies.
Techniques with a piercing effect are useful for dealing effective damage to tough enemies.

In the story, he consistently remains an ally of Quon, feeling indebted to him, ever since the Skali Civil War, giving the strong impression that he is a very good person.

Meri

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
While it boasts high attack power, all of its techniques consume a lot of MP, making it a unit best suited for challenging opponents.
Since its defensive capabilities aren't particularly high, this unit is best used from a slightly more strategic position, fighting a little behind the front lines, and only deployed when absolutely necessary.

Her combative personality is similar to Eldopa's in "New Theory Magical Girl+".
Rather than being truly belligerent, he seemed to be testing and unsettling his opponents, which made me feel that he was actually quite rational at heart.
She simply loves her older brother, but due to certain circumstances, she can't be honest about it, and has become rebellious.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, he played a major role as the leading Unite user against the boss.
The cut-in animation when using the Human-Powered Fusion technique reminded me of Chiyoko from "New Magical Girl."
Since it consumes a lot of MP, it's probably best to use it mainly against bosses.

In the story, she seems to have secured the position of the main heroine, which is quite fortunate, wouldn't you say?
If Quon is to transform into an Aspart, I have a feeling she'll just become one of many partners.

Mille-feuille

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit has decent durability and can both attack and heal.
Since its offensive capabilities aren't very high, it's best suited to healing units that have been damaged on the front lines.

He's a person who simply loves Meri, and in a way, he's completely unwavering in that regard.
She's the type of person who immediately shows her disgust when a man is involved, so it's difficult to get along with her.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, he remains capable of handling both offense and magic at a high level.
However, I felt that its weakness was the lack of long-range and powerful techniques.
I never used the command skill Absorption.

Towards the end, the importance of the Bran family was highlighted, and this character changed my perspective on him a little.

Macaroni

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit can continue fighting on the front lines, thanks to its high HP.
The techniques are easy to use, and you can still fight reasonably well even when your MP runs out.
It pairs well with the Flay Shield and wing parts, so you'll want to equip it if you get your hands on it.

When he first appeared in the Skali arc, he gave the impression of being a petty character aiming to seize power, but he turned out to be a person with a fair amount of common sense.
He was somewhat vulgar and a womanizer, which made him more approachable among the many uptight men.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, the poor energy consumption of his techniques seemed to be a bit of a drawback, and he didn't perform as well as he did at the beginning.

At the very end, his son Pierre appeared, and I couldn't help but smile, realizing he's inherited a lot from his father.

Sachertorte

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit is tough, has high attack power, and can use elemental attacks, similar to Cashew.
While the attacks primarily consume a lot of MP and don't require much MP, the attacks that don't consume MP are still quite powerful.
I don't think there are many situations where you'd use that introductory speech other than during the fight with Shuna in the story.

Although their demeanor is casual, their good upbringing is evident in every word they speak.
While they have a friendly and approachable demeanor, there's also a certain coldness about them that suggests they never reveal their true feelings.
Rather than prioritizing the restoration of his family's fortunes, I suspect his true desire is to deliver a devastating blow to Farbreton.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, you'll acquire the Unite technique and become a candidate to be a boss killer.
However, there is a recoil after use, so it gives the impression of being slightly inferior compared to other Unite users.
The power itself is comparable.

Like Fudge, I felt like I had processed my feelings of revenge against Farbreton within myself.
I think it was a different kind of feeling than the desire for revenge against opera.
This character doesn't often reveal their true feelings to others, so we can only guess what's going on in their mind from their words and actions.

Opera

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Since its overall attack and defense power are low, it's best to use it as a damage dealer or healer from a distance.
Recovery ultimately relies on Dolce Symbols, so it's not very efficient.

She's a straightforward sister who thinks and acts according to her emotions, for better or for worse.
This character seems like they'd be exhausting to deal with, whether they're an enemy or an ally.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, he unexpectedly awakened as a Unite user and made great strides.
Perhaps their simple personality and attributes were a good match.
The Unite, with its range of up to 4, was useful both against regular enemies and bosses (though it lacked armor-piercing capabilities, making it somewhat underpowered).

Although he seemingly settled things by punching Farbreton, he realized the difference in his feelings and those of Sacha and chose to distance himself from him.
I felt that Sacher and the opera had a strong bond as childhood friends and fellow victims, so it felt like the opera's own story finally began at the end.
I personally prefer her hair after it's grown out.

Halva

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit can both attack and heal.
It's not particularly fragile, so I think it's best to use it in a similar way to how you would use a mille-feuille pastry.

He's a high-ranking successor and a model student, but he's also a lovable character who easily becomes attached to people.
It might be because of the demon bloodline.
Once you get to know someone, do you find yourself wanting to side with them, no matter what?

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, I became the only person on Coct's side who could use Unite.
This unit was strong because it could normally focus on healing, but could switch to an offensive role in boss battles.

Perhaps because they've caught Satsuka's attention, both Levani and Stra have to endure many emotionally challenging situations, which is a rather unfortunate role for them.

Augis

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Thanks to their genius skills, their growth is quite rapid.
In the early stages, focus on healing with Gold Heal and then use Forseti to finish off enemies as you develop your character.
Once you can use Fusion Ray, you'll be quite useful as an attacker as well.
However, since its durability against gunfire is average, a mid-range position would be the most effective for it.

Despite being only 15 years old, he possesses an unfathomable depth that suggests he's not simply swayed by his talent.
Unlike the intellectually gifted Rokum, he has a softer side, showing empathy and affection for Ashley, but he also possesses the charisma of a hero.
He possessed excellent political and strategic skills, but his actions sometimes seemed as if he was testing his own destiny.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
When they rejoin the party in the later stages, they will be able to use powerful time-element attacks, giving them top-tier offensive capabilities.
Along with Kuon and Kanata, he was a reliable attacker.

I thought that his jealousy towards Quon would lead him to fall into darkness and that the only way to deal with him would be to defeat him as an enemy, but I'm glad that Ashley's persuasion worked somehow.
I think that for Kwon, this is a valuable relationship because it means he has someone he can talk to aggressively.

・Turun

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit has no weaknesses and high defensive capabilities, making it ideal for use as a tank.
Its offensive capabilities are about average, so you can mainly use your MP on counterattacks.
If you equip them with Kanmi Potions and Dolce Symbols, they can become an even tougher tank.

Despite possessing the ability to be among the top contenders in the succession struggle, he maintains a free-spirited stance, preferring to avoid troublesome matters.
In reality, they probably just want to get along with their siblings and avoid fighting.
Rather than fully supporting Augis, it seems more like they're siding with Augis out of a desire to maintain a balance of power among the successors.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the latter half of the game, he started wielding a sword and played a key role as a vanguard, using shield breaks to disrupt the enemy boss's defenses.
The ability to protect allied units that have become too far ahead is also useful, and I got the impression that it was quite helpful in combat.
Its range is short, but since it's a unit that prioritizes defense, it's not really a problem.

She keeps saying she wants a boyfriend, but I get the feeling she's not really serious about finding one.
Because they are highly capable themselves, I think it might be difficult for them to fall in love with others on their own.
I get the impression that a reliable man who doesn't play games (like Cashew or Mel) would be a good match for her.
Alternatively, a somewhat unreliable man who can be caring might also be a good choice (like Zuccotto).

Ashley

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
The long range of the Power Shot is impressive, but the overall low power is a drawback.
I'd like to actively use it in conjunction with rapid-fire skills.
Due to their weak defensive capabilities, they are dangerous to leave on the front lines and are often targeted by shooters.

He's a character with low self-esteem who is often looked after by Augis.
I suspect that once he learns all the truths, he will ultimately seek revenge on Rokum.
Interacting with Jalebi is very heartwarming.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, you can learn the empathic magic, Sheer Heart, and play an active role as a support character.

In the story, she played an important role, including traveling to the past with Quon.
I thought there was a possibility that she might end up with Quon, but I'm glad that in the end she went back to being with Augis.

Lokum

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This attacker can take on both regular and powerful enemies.
If you use a wide-area Meteor Shot on a group of enemies, you can efficiently eliminate them.
The Dragoon is powerful enough to hold its own against even tough opponents.

He's undoubtedly a talented individual, but he probably couldn't stand being surpassed by Augis.
I can't wait to see how the succession struggle with Augis will end.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
As the story progresses, he is defeated by Turun and Ashley.
Since he willingly got involved in the succession struggle and tried to kill Augis, he must have been prepared to be killed himself.
However, I don't think he ever imagined that he would be defeated by Ashley.
I think he was a decent character by no means, but perhaps he was underwhelming from Farbreton's perspective.

Baklava

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit's most important role is to neutralize shooter and archer attacks with its Haze Armor.
Its offensive capabilities are also quite good, including area-of-effect attacks like Bubble Flash.
However, using too much MP will prevent you from using Haze Armor, so conserving MP is key to its effectiveness.

Like Augis, he is someone who is gradually taking an interest in Ashley.
I can't help but feel that Augis is cleverly manipulating him, fueling his ambition to impress his father, so I can't bring myself to hate him.
He's not handsome, but what's interesting about him is that he's also highly capable in combat.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, Midnight Fog's attacks, which have a piercing effect, are very powerful.
The assassination walk ability allows you to quickly close the distance, which was useful when there was an enemy you absolutely wanted to take down.
It also helped in collecting treasure chests.

He's a capable character, but when he opens his mouth outside of work, all he talks about is beauty and ugliness and women, which suggests he has a lot of insecurities.
Bonnet, with her career-woman-like demeanor and ability to evaluate others without being swayed by their looks, might make a good couple with him, even in a racial sense.

・Hatsunagi

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Since their participation is sporadic, it might be best not to rely on them too much.
Let's mainly use the fuel-efficient Thunderball and the powerful area-of-effect attack, Blue Lightning.
Because of their high basic abilities, they are less likely to be defeated and are useful in a variety of situations.

Aspart felt like he was like Mitsumasa Kido from "Saint Seiya," having opponents like Hatsunagi in various places.
If these children were to become future comrades, then perhaps it wasn't such a bad approach after all.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
Although they are a unit that leaves the group midway through, they still have their moments to shine.
However, after reuniting with Aspart, I felt that her role as a woman was emphasized somewhat more than that of a mother.

beignets

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Similar to Opera, she doesn't have high combat capabilities.
They might be best used as support personnel in combat, or as treasure chest collectors, taking advantage of their mobility.

As a former knight turned thief, he played a role in providing a fresh perspective to a group that consisted mostly of noble members.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
While it didn't leave much of an impression as a combat unit, its ability to retrieve treasure chests by using the "Escape Rabbit" skill to perform two actions was quite useful.
Also, because of its mobility, I think it became quite useful as a finishing blow against enemies.

I wasn't quite sure when he fell for Eclair, but it seems he's trying to approach her in his own way.
The person in question doesn't seem interested in romance, so the road ahead will be challenging, but he still seems content.

・Levani

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
It has a range of 1, but it's a more attack-oriented unit than Mel.
It's best to boost your confidence with power gains while using your high mobility to approach and attack enemies.
This attacker also has self-healing abilities, making them highly survivable.

He's a rare type of impulsive, battle-loving individual within the thoughtful Farbreton camp.
What's impressive about the succession candidates is that they possess solid skills to back up their claims.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
She tries to act as an older sister (or mother) to Halva, but ends up leaving the group.
He was a rare type of muscle-bound character in this game, so it was a shame he was gone.

・Rokuma

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
Its performance is mediocre, so it's best to focus on healing with Land Heal and providing support with Rock Shield.
It's better to keep them in the rear and not send them to the front lines.

As the name suggests, this type of person has a similar way of thinking to Lokum, and they seem to get along well.
As befits a knight in command, he doesn't seem like the type to be in a position of authority, but rather someone who excels at supporting others.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
The usability doesn't change much in the second half either.
It seems her desire for revenge against Turun hasn't disappeared, but she appears to be trying to come to terms with her feelings and move forward.
By the way, although he has a rather plain image, Rokuma is actually quite handsome with his sleek physique, isn't he?

Taffy

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit is undeniably lacking in many aspects.
Rather than using healing items, I think it's better to give them potions and other recovery items, and use their MP for Three Arrow.

I never imagined we'd become allies at this point.
Considering she's just a standard mercenary, it really drives home just how powerful these mages are in combat.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, you can switch between two elements by equipping the Hellflame Bow, but unfortunately, the firepower is insufficient.
It's best to focus on delivering the final blow to mortally wounded enemies and to rely solely on support during combat.

・ Shiro

(Thoughts up to episode 15)
This unit is convenient because it has a natural MP recovery rate of 3 and a no-cast explosion spell with a range of 2-5.
With no weaknesses, decent toughness, and high mobility, it's strong enough to fight on the front lines as an attacker.

This is a character who finally becomes an ally after many twists and turns.
There hasn't been much interaction with Pure yet, but I'm sure that will be depicted in the future.
This means he's Quon's half-brother, but it seems like there are still many more half-brothers whose father is Aspart.

(Thoughts on episode 16 and beyond)
In the second half, there aren't many new attack techniques, and its firepower is relatively lower compared to other units.
The unique ability to revive fallen allies is appealing, but its greatest strength is its high healing ability.
I think she's useful if you consider her as a healer who can use fire-element attacks with a range of 5.

・ Radu

It performs reasonably well in close combat, but its firepower against distant opponents is low, giving the impression that it's somewhat difficult to use effectively.
He was kind of like a water-element version of Baron Mel, and didn't play a very significant role.

Although he appears as an ambitious demon, he doesn't have a strange upbringing and ultimately shows a humble attitude towards learning.
I think this character underwent significant internal growth between their first appearance and the end of the game.

・Eish

Basically, they give the impression of being a guest unit, and there's nothing particularly noteworthy about them.
I have to admit that when Radu reappeared in the second half, I was like, "Who's that again?"

・Künev

Its greatest strength is its ability to perform extremely long-range attacks.
Since you can only attack before moving, your advance tends to be slow, but you can use magic ropes or grappling hooks to pull them along and keep them moving.
The anti-demon special sniper rifle has armor-piercing properties, allowing it to inflict more damage than you might expect.
The ability to attack unilaterally from outside the enemy's range is a huge advantage, so it was one of my favorite units.

In the story, they are at the forefront of cutting-edge science, but in a world where magic is the main force, they were not yet able to take center stage.
I liked how excited I got when I saw tanks; it felt very engineer-like.

Far Breton

As a formidable opponent in the story, he remained a significant presence ever since the Skali arc.
Because he was not driven by self-interest but remained a true aristocrat, he was an opponent I couldn't simply hate.
After teaming up with Quon, he proved to be a reliable ally, excelling in both tactical and strategic aspects.

Although it can't use Unite, Like a Heaven, which has armor-piercing effects, is powerful and can be used as a main weapon until the very end of the game.

・Sarly

This person has a loud voice and their emotions come first.
I think he was a capable person, but my impression of him is that he complained a lot and was always shouting.

They seemed quite tough when they were enemies, but they're not so tough when they become allies (a common trope in RPGs).
Virus Capsules were useful as a long-range, high-powered attack.
Regarding area-of-effect attacks, Outbreak was useful because of its wide area of effect and ability to inflict the poison status.
My strongest attack has a short range, but I didn't want to be on the front lines, so I tended to just use virus capsules.

·clock

He's a tough attacker who excels in close-quarters combat.
While enhancement-dependent techniques deal significant damage, long-range projectile techniques didn't seem to inflict much damage relative to their MP cost.
Sword of Meteor is powerful, but because it lacks armor-piercing properties, its firepower is lower than other Unite users.

He's a character who follows the conventional path based on his abilities, for better or for worse, which was refreshing amidst a cast of many eccentric main characters.
He doesn't show any romantic feelings towards Sarly at all, which gives him a serious and uptight impression.
In fact, it seems like Sally is just stalking him unilaterally, but it looked like he had no reason to refuse or accept.

Tian

She's a reliable sister who can heal from a distance.
Since I don't have any particularly powerful special moves, I was just fighting to finish off any regular enemies that I missed.
It's good for healing distant allies, but the high MP cost for healing nearby allies is a bit of a problem.

I always had the impression that he was with Clock Sarly and the other two, and I didn't have much of an impression of him other than his bad habit of kicking his feet.
In the Kanom group, while Sari's emotions tend to run wild, the other members give the strong impression of being calm.

Eclair

She's a beautiful woman with a completely bleached look, much like Quon.
Aside from Gale, the attacks have a range of 1 and no elemental attribute, so their firepower is rather lacking.
However, the Heavenly Demon Shadow Slash after using Magic Awakening was incredibly powerful.
However, it consumes a lot of turns and MP, so it can't be used repeatedly, making it a bit difficult to use as a unit.

Cashew respects everyone as a rival, and it seems like he doesn't have any romantic feelings for anyone.

·mint

Although she is a nun, she doesn't have any special healing abilities, just like Opera.
Therefore, I gave it the Dolce Symbol and made it a healer.
While the multi-elemental Azure Sky Flying Kick is powerful, it's not very durable, so I don't want to put it on the front lines.

Since becoming a shrine maiden, her approaches to Kuon have become more intense, to the point where those around her are calling her a sex worker.
It was kind of funny to see Napage being so flustered by her.

• Napage

She's only a temporary member, and like the other sisters, her main fighting style is close-quarters combat.
Since ranged attacks didn't deal much damage, I almost exclusively used the Fierce Cross Slash.

When he first appeared, he seemed like a stubborn person, but he gradually became more open-minded.
It was interesting to see how the power dynamic between her and Mint was, and how she was afraid of her treatment of Quon being exposed.

・Youka

While it consumes a lot of MP, it has a full set of high-damage water-element techniques, making it capable of being a main force in battle until the very end.
The Type 99 has a range of 1-3, so it was easy to use from the beginning of the stage.
If you overuse your skills against regular enemies, you'll often run out of MP by the time you get to the boss.

When he first appeared, it wasn't clear what his role was, but he turned out to be an important figure connected to the Bran family and Shiro.
In the story, he appears to possess top-notch swordsmanship skills, alongside Cashew, giving him a strong, formidable character presence.
However, their approach to raising children is quite strict.

Kadayuf

This Unite user is incredibly powerful with their Type 0 Dragon Saber.
He was top-class in terms of stats, so he played a key role until the very end.
Since you can recover HP and MP with Deep Sea Breath while moving, I feel like I didn't need to give her a Heal Rod.

When he first appeared, he was portrayed as a dangerous individual who was the perpetrator of Augis's assassination, but in reality, he was a man who would absolutely protect the hero.
Since returning to the present day, he has given the impression of being like a Doberman, keeping a strict eye on things in place of the often careless Quon.
Since he remains calm and composed with almost no change in expression, it's a pleasant surprise to see variations in his surprised expressions.
He's one of my favorite characters.

・ Bonnet

In terms of being an attack-oriented earth-element attacker that can also heal, it felt similar to using Millefeuille.
In reality, since its attack cost and power are lower than Millefeuille's, I mainly used it against regular enemies.
The Deadlot Sword has a range of 1-4, making it relatively easy to use.

She remained aloof throughout and never showed any affection, and she didn't reconcile with Pure, but I think she learned something from this battle in her own way.
It's not that they're on edge out of hostility; they might just have a naturally prickly personality.
Since she was holding up the baklava at the end, she might not be concerned with appearances being beautiful or ugly.

Strawberry

With its Ice Arrow (range 4) and Sherbet Breath (for nearby enemies), this unit proved surprisingly effective and powerful for its type.
Since they can not only attack but also heal, I think they are an excellent choice for a guest character.

Financier

Because Sandstorm, a move with multiple elemental properties, is quite powerful, I found it to be fairly easy to use.
Because it can enhance and release/use earth and wind at both close and long range, it has excellent adaptability to different opponents.

If you've played "New Theory Magical Girl," you'll recognize this duo's appearance.

·mousse

Although she appears early in the game, she's only playable relatively late in the game.
By that point, they'll be too weak to be considered a fighting force, so the best we can do is provide support through treatment and symptomatic relief.
I occasionally used Toxblum to finish off any straggling enemies that I had missed.

In Touga, he is said to be the second most skilled swordsman after Cashew, and is apparently the strongest soldier.
Given that he was in a situation where he could easily have died early, he seems to feel deeply indebted to Kanata.

・ Zuccotto

Initially weak and ineffective in battle, they become reasonably capable as they grow stronger.
Raikou Rekka has decent power and good fuel efficiency.

He seemed like a rather insignificant character, but after his parents' death, he gradually made up his mind, and even though he couldn't completely hide his cowardice, I think he gained the courage to face challenges.
Because we are a small country, we will have to use various means to navigate the situation from now on, but I believe that the experience we gained in this battle will help us to persevere.

Semla

Among the regular soldiers, their firepower is slightly higher.
Its power is low, but it has a decent range for a rifle, so it's good for finishing off enemies.

Although she seemed unaccustomed to using polite language, her simple and honest personality shone through, and I found her endearing.
Even in a battle where the odds are against me, I'm prepared to face death, knowing that I haven't been taught how to escape.
He has a villainous face, but the occasional smirk he shows is really cool.

Stra

As an attacker, he's somewhat lacking in power, so it would be best to focus on a support role for him.

She's a character with dazzlingly healthy-looking thighs, but the horror of petrification is depicted vividly, making her a rather pitiable character in many ways.

・Shukel

Although initially underpowered, it grew rapidly and now possesses decent firepower thanks to its long range and high rate of fire.
They were a top-performing unit capable of healing, and they were quite helpful in addressing specific needs.

It seemed like Turun and the others weren't on good terms, but I'm glad they eventually reconciled.

Rakugan

In the second half, Jalebi generally got the better of him, and his weakness is that he's easily defeated and can be knocked down.
However, even though it's unfinished, the Buddha's Wisdom Slash is fairly powerful, and its high mobility is certainly an advantage.

He has a generally lighthearted demeanor, but he's a cool old man whose abilities match his words.

・Natsume

While various attributes can be used, the ultimate technique, Astral Buster, is particularly powerful.
It might be embarrassing to use while playing in the living room, but its range of 2-5 makes it quite convenient.
Although it consumes a lot of MP, the high rate of natural MP recovery somewhat mitigates the drawback.

Fennel

Its high mobility from its swift movement allows for a powerful Shrinking Sky Fang attack.
The ability to boost the marching speed of yourself and others through Blast Move is a useful feature.

Among the characters in Nemuriko, she seemed to be in a more fortunate situation compared to the others.
I'm really glad that the story didn't end with the father dying.
I think the day when Aspart will get involved is not far off.

Nikki

Contrary to appearances, this unit excels at healing and support.
The shield break from Soul Blood Crushing Kick is invaluable in the later stages of the game, so I played an active role as the vanguard (or kicker?) of the team.

When he first appeared, he gave the impression of being a belligerent, battle-crazed character, but he turned out to be surprisingly caring, which changed my impression of him.
There were times when I felt like Cardina, Fudge, and Nicky were like family.

・Karakum

While it doesn't have the same firepower as Kynev, its ability to unleash extremely long-range attacks after moving is a major advantage.
Aside from the Rock Demon Zero Bullet, which consumes a lot of MP, its firepower isn't particularly high, but the ability to attack unilaterally without taking counterattacks is a huge advantage.

This character is the type who doesn't talk much about themselves, and many aspects of them remain shrouded in mystery.
The reason he's so inconspicuous and barely noticeable in the story is probably because that's how he behaves.

Star anise

Although powerful, this demon is an eccentric type.
However, he seems to have a strong belief in his own aesthetic sense, and he often says surprisingly sensible things, which creates a bit of a contrast.

Since it only becomes playable towards the very end of the game, I don't have many impressions about how it feels to use.

・Cucina

In the final stages of the game, its usability is somewhere between Rakugan and Jarebi.
The Buddha Wabi Slash is fairly powerful, but its drawback is that, unlike Jalebi, it only has a range of 1-2.

Like Halva, it seems that the blood of the demon race may give them a strong sense of compassion.
She has a cool demeanor, but the unexpected contrast of her being easily swayed was really cute.

*It seems I forgot to complete some event, as Saboly did not join the party.

Thoughts and screenshots included (spoiler alert)

This section includes screenshots of memorable scenes and comments written after completing the game.
This will obviously be full of spoilers, so please be careful if you read it before finishing the game.

Analyzing screenshots reveals a tendency to save more of your favorite characters.
(Conversely, I think the characters I take a lot of screenshots of are the characters I like.)

Early stages (Episodes 1-10)

This is the initial title screen.
The story unfolds in a way that feels like an extension of a peaceful everyday life, resembling a sunny day in broad daylight.

I laughed at the phrase, "not the metaphorical one."
This is the kind of scolding you get in a world where magic is used.

It's fine that Kuon is consistently treated as a woman until the very end, but looking back, Shuna says some pretty crazy things.
Since they were people he barely knew, he was probably able to make jokes like that.

She remained calm around Kanata, but it was amusing to see her get a little nervous around Kuon, who is a man.

Meri's ability to see through magic was already depicted around this time.
If they are descendants of Aspart and Palmera, then perhaps they may have inherited some bloodline that allows them to use time magic.

The reason he meddled in the succession dispute in another territory wasn't simply because he was kind-hearted, but rather because he saw himself in Kanata, who couldn't use magic.
I was somewhat moved by their attitude of considering other people's problems as their own.

I had completely forgotten his nickname, "Bitter of the Swallow Sword."
The fact that Bitter, who is rather underwhelming as a fighter, is the ace among the regular soldiers, shows just how incredible wizards are.

I was deeply moved that someone with magical talent could utter those words.
While the ability to use magic may have been a contributing factor to their estrangement, Meri's utterly uncooperative personality was also a major cause.

Quon seems to be popular in various places.

It was amusing to see how Mel, with his elegant demeanor, seemed slightly intimidated by Jalebi's assertive presence.

I'd like to say it's a two-way street, but I think Shuna is clearly showing more skin.
Opera seems to have a perfectly reasonable opinion in mind, while Shuna appears completely unaware of her appearance.

The fact that Quon was able to make the nobles themselves question things and feel a sense of possibility suggests that he already possessed the qualities of a hero.
Contrary to the image he initially projected, Macaroni was perhaps able to say this because he was a rare type of nobleman who could converse casually with ordinary people.

I like how both Farbreton and Nicky fight without underestimating their opponents.
These kinds of battles against a third force are quite impressive to watch.

This is Halva, whose facial expressions and lines don't match.
However, true to his word, when Sister Stra was turned to stone towards the end, Halva made the heartbreaking decision to abandon her.
I admire the consistency of acting according to one's words, but I'm also drawn to the contradiction of not being emotionally convinced.

Despite having the skill to be among the top three on the continent, Rakugan's playful demeanor and lighthearted remarks create a charming contrast that adds to his appeal.

When Turun finds a man she likes, she doesn't hide her affection, but afterwards, she doesn't seem to show any intention to deepen the relationship.
I suspect that while they keep saying they want a partner, they're actually not capable of fully committing to one person.
Conversely, I felt that this demonstrated a quality befitting a king: the ability to avoid showing excessive favoritism towards any one individual.

Even Meri, usually so composed, changed her language to polite language when speaking to the intimidating Hatsunagi.
Since she was the mother of the person she had feelings for (Kwon), she might have instinctively thought she should act in a way that would make a good impression.
This is an uncharacteristic display of Meri's usual arrogant attitude towards everyone, so I can't help but wonder if perhaps a hint of her girlish side was awakened.

Shuna proudly returns to Halva the things that Zaha had said to her that had made her feel hurt.
I think their behavior around here is quite good.

Although their hair color, hairstyle, and even the color of their clothes are similar, they end up becoming bitter enemies who constantly clash with each other.
They say that people who fight a lot are closer, but perhaps their personalities are so complicated that there's a kind of mutual dislike between them.

Even when Meri has feelings for someone, she acts in a way that doesn't outwardly show it.
Turun, who doesn't get along well with Meri, might be the type who acts as if he has feelings for her, but doesn't actually have those feelings at all.
After realizing this, I started taking more screenshots of Turun's statements.
I imagine Turun is a maiden who can't express her feelings to the person she truly loves.

Although it's called magic, the phenomenon behind it is based on scientific mechanisms.
This area, while appearing to have a fantasy worldview, actually has a science fiction logic to it, and I think it shares some similarities with "New Theory Magical Girl."

This is the climax at the end of the early stages.
The way the character awakens during battles against formidable opponents is exciting.
The game features lavish cut-ins for the special moves, giving you a feeling of luxury.

Mid-season (Episodes 11-20)

The story started off with a focus on the bright side of the world, but the revelation that Kuon himself is a demon suddenly plunged the narrative into darkness.
This twilight title screen seems to symbolize the moment when the world changes.

This scene depicts Hatsunagi starting a folktale and accidentally going too far, right up to the part she didn't need to tell.
Kanata's retort is perfectly valid.
I don't really like hearing stories like this from my own parents.

Well, I've taken another screenshot of Turun.
He says a lot of self-deprecating things, but since he's making jokes about them himself, it seems he doesn't really care that much.
Perhaps, due to her own high level of ability, she's trying to create a sense of approachability by playing the role of a woman who "can't find a good man," a character that's easy to tease.
Is it too cynical to think that they behave that way, even if unconsciously?

Although their personalities were somewhat different, these two seemed to get along well, perhaps because their approaches were similar.
Their outfits are contrasting in color, blue and red, but they seem like a good combination.

This type of classification makes sense to me because it shares many commonalities with the sciences of our world.
I think it would be difficult for us humans living in this three-dimensional world to recognize the subcategories of conceptual magic, as we cannot perceive them.
If it means "the ability to see time," then I roughly understand it as something like a Newtype (Gundam brain).

I was worried that Hazel would die protecting Fennel, but thankfully that wasn't the case.
While most children who fall asleep have severed ties with their parents, neither of them harbors resentment towards the other, so I think these two were very fortunate.

This is the scene where she says, "Don't worry about me, go on ahead," which is sure to be an exciting moment.
I really like the tension created by the quiet whispering of the ultimate technique, rather than ending with a shout like "Thunder Unite!!"

Mel harshly reprimands Meri for not having the right mindset as a knight.
However, he's not angry; he's gently urging the other person to speak, which I think is very typical of an older brother and is a good thing.
And I felt a sense of growth in Meri when she humbly bowed her head for Quon's sake.
It's reassuring to know that Millefeuille has always been on Meri's side.

I find it reassuring to see Macaroni's unwavering determination to always be drawn to the appealing aspects of even his enemies.

When Meri has a big smile on her face, it's scary because it means her aggressive emotions are on full display.
For the combative Meri, the fact that taking one step forward leads to combat is nothing but a reward.

I never imagined Augis would be eliminated at this point... but that wasn't the case.
However, after defeating Baklava and his group, I was excited to wonder where the difference in power that allowed them to easily defeat Augis came from.

Fudge had joined Aspart's group, but it was a little sad to see him being made to do all sorts of menial tasks and being overworked.
It's fine because Aspart will make adjustments later.
In fact, since Caldina was the only human available who wasn't restricted by sleep schedules, it's clear that she's been a great help as a new member of the team.

The description mentioned that Barbin had a fickle personality, but even Meri seems moved by the fact that he died protecting her, someone he only had a slight connection with.

The question was serious, but the way he was thinking about something completely different felt very masculine, and I found it relatable.
Of course I'd watch it.

This reminded me of the scene in "Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai" where Baran tells Crocodine to "come with Gigabreak" (meaning to use his strongest technique).

They may have known each other, as they both followed the same path of swordsmanship.
I never imagined that I'd actually be using this card in a match in the second half.

I felt a sense of sadness at how Napage's treatment has gotten progressively worse since Quon was acknowledged.
It's only natural to be scared when you hear ominous words coming from people who are actually capable of doing such things.

As Thurn also says, I don't think Sacha was obsessed with revenge against Favreton.
Zaha seems to have a fairly detached and objective view of himself, so it appears he understands that revenge won't bring him anything back.
While she herself has come to terms with the past, it feels like she's merely pretending to hold a grudge as a fellow victim out of guilt and sympathy for Opera, who hasn't yet come to terms with the past (of course, she probably does hold a grudge to some extent).

From this point on, Zuccotto seems to have matured, and he's become one of my favorite characters.
I love watching timid characters gradually grow stronger through the course of battles.
It's not that the fear completely disappears, but rather that you're still feeling fear, yet you're still motivating yourself, which is a good feeling.

I found it unusual to see Kadayuf showing interest in someone else and asking questions, so I just had to save it.
Kadayufu himself says, "It's natural to think about one's own life without considering others," and since he acts to protect the hero, I think he has some understanding of Kashu's motivations.
However, Kadayuf had a book of prophecies as an absolute guide to follow, as well as the mission of the family he was born into.
On the other hand, I wondered if Cashew had any such certain prospects.

Of course, Cashew doesn't have anything so certain, and I think he's acting according to his own sense of loyalty.
I find it cool how he doesn't speak to himself in an arrogant way like, "That's what loyalty is," but rather with a humble, self-deprecating tone like, "I'm not good at living a skillful life."

Attacking an opponent armed only with a sword using a gun, then smugly adjusting my glasses, is one of the things I'd like to try in combat at least once.
Long range is a huge advantage.

The scene where Fortuna shatters.
The special animations that play during exciting scenes are incredibly cool, making you want to save the video and watch it over and over again.
The exclamation mark "!?" is also nice, isn't it?

Final stages (Episodes 21-28)

As the story approaches its conclusion, the background of the title image has changed to nighttime.
The fact that the world has become overrun with demons might be an allegory for the arrival of night for humanity.

We never really found out what Panajets were really like, but I was happy that they stuck with us despite seeming to be in a fairly high position.
I found it a little amusing that my own opinions came through in the explanation.
Since she seems to have trouble socializing, she may have felt more comfortable being with a small group of pastel-colored characters.

It's cute how she acts all aloof but then makes straightforward declarations of affection.

Aspart is definitely involved, but considering that Meri wouldn't exist without it, it must have been a necessary piece of the puzzle...

This is my impression after seeing Kuon's new robes.
Perhaps I can't honestly compliment them because I think they're cuter than me.
It certainly seems as provocative as Shuna's outfit.

Combined with the background music, it was a very exciting scene.
It was also helpful in practical terms, as it didn't consume MP, had a range of 1-2, and decent power.

A scene of saying goodbye to the characters from the past world.
My first impression of Rubioll was that he seemed rather stubborn, but I'm glad he ended up becoming such a good understanding person.
Pastel crying like a young girl was really cute.
Unlike an ordinary parting, this one is perhaps even more heartbreaking than death, as it signifies a separation from whom you can never meet again.

The situation had changed dramatically during the short time I had been there, giving me the feeling that the story was about to take a major turn.
The situation has been completely revamped, and the changes make you want to play the game with a fresh perspective.

(Put on some clothes)

Although she was the leading figure in the aristocratic society that he hated, he may have seen in her the same grieving mother she was, just like his own mother had been.
Seeing this, I think Fudge himself realized that the feelings a child has for their parents are the same whether they are from the nobility or commoners.

I took a picture of Kadayuf's apologetic expression because it seemed like a very rare sight.
Please review this.

I think the reason is that because she can do everything on her own, men don't feel any protective instincts towards her, and she herself doesn't have anyone to rely on.
I like how she says "Mmm!" like an old lady.

They apparently formed a group with members who didn't have much of a relationship with each other.
This memo is interesting because it gives us insight into the relationships between the members.

It seems like Kadayuf is just like his parents.
Kadayuf seems to have a lot of resolve, which likely stems from his strict, Spartan upbringing.

Being counted as a valuable asset by the demon Kuchina must have been a source of joy, even in this situation.
For Jamoka, who had always felt out of place as someone who wielded a magic bow, this must have been an opportunity to motivate herself.

For those of us who only know Mint after she changed after meeting Quon, it's hard not to wonder, "Is that really the case?"
Napage seems to be constantly on the defensive.

It is precisely because Farbreton is so capable that he was able to make the decision to entrust Quon with the command.
I think it's impressive that he doesn't cling to command based on his own emotions.

This is a rare illustration of Youka from her younger days.
The other members of the Bran family were dressed in military-like uniforms, so perhaps the Japanese-style clothing is just his personal preference.
NeoTem's clothing also has roots in traditional Japanese clothing, so there might be some connection.

I'm glad that Shiro has become cheerful enough to tell jokes.
That's heartwarming.

Quon has finally managed to get even Farbreton to say this line.
If we consider Farbreton to be a tsundere, then perhaps we can say that he has finally shown his dere side.

Did Farbreton foresee the end of aristocratic society?
While it may not be such a clear prediction, they may have anticipated a different era and diversified their risk by preparing children with various ways of thinking.
Normally, an increase in successors is risky because it increases the potential for conflict, but I think there's also the perspective that it's a good thing if competition leads to a better society.

He is a nobleman, for better or for worse, so I think his actions were based on a consideration of the responsibilities that nobles have to the world.

While petrification is often depicted casually in RPGs and similar games, this game portrays its gruesome nature and the difficulty of treatment in detail.
I'm so glad that Stra survived.

This outcome for Fudge and Quon was unimaginable considering the attempted murder of Quon.
I thought Fudge would turn to the dark side and become a complete enemy, so I'm glad that didn't happen.
While I appreciate stories that take a decidedly tragic turn, I also find these gentler stories to be wonderful.

Nicky didn't have much screen time until the end, but I didn't dislike him; he seemed like a mischievous boy.
I like the simplicity of how he listens to encouraging words from Farbreton, who he considers himself strong.
The fact that Farbreton can choose the words that Nicky seems to want to hear after only a few exchanges really reinforces the impression that he is a capable leader.

I believe Kuon's initial strategy was to try to persuade the demons, and if that failed, to neutralize them rather than kill them.
I found it amusing how Kadayuf didn't even try to persuade him, but instead just thought about beating him up right away.
They probably think there's no way they can persuade the other person, and that defeating them outright would end the same way.
It's amusing that Dill looks a little exasperated.

It was great to see even Neotem, one of the strongest characters in the story, being wary of Yubeshi.
I'm sure he never imagined he'd have the opportunity to fight alongside a hero, and as a warrior, there couldn't have been a more joyous stage for him.

It's amazing how much you can deduce from Satsuka's words.
Kadayufu was a brilliant detective with exceptionally keen insight.

Continued Final Stages (Episode 29 onwards)

The background changes as dawn breaks and a new day arrives.
The light shining on the horizon evokes a sense of a new future yet to be seen.

In the future timeline in which Satsuka lives, we learn that Star Anise, Savory, and Natsume also died before the battle with Ryusha.
It feels like I'm seeing an unfamiliar world, and the atmosphere is unsettling.

Are you referring to Shichan, who made a brief appearance in 'Heartium'?

I like the cool way they say, "It was simply a matter of strategy that humanitarian aid became necessary."
I think that's probably true.

The sword fighting tournament was great because it allowed me to see a different kind of strength in the units, beyond what's stated in their character profiles.
I'm especially pleased that even ordinary soldiers like Semla are portrayed as being reasonably strong.

Because these two don't interact very often, it seems they were able to compete purely without letting personal feelings get in the way.
There was a refreshing feeling to it, like when competitors in sports congratulate each other on a good fight.

This is an extremely rare photo of Meri-sama smiling and making a peace sign.
I think the changes are due to Quon's influence.

The special animation showing everyone launching a coordinated attack against a formidable enemy was incredibly exciting.
I particularly liked the scene where Turun, who had been at odds with Meri, shielded her with his shield.
I was deeply moved when Meri called Turun by name for the first time.

Karakum, who is very inconspicuous, is cool in his abrupt farewell.
He's quite mysterious because he never talks about himself, but I think it's fine to have characters like that.

Playing against Parkin, with whom I've become such a close friend, was a truly moving experience.
I like the idea that Horizon didn't disappear, but rather resided within each of them; it's quite romantic.

Farbreton showed respect to those who, despite being commoners, had worked hard and surpassed him.
When this happens, it becomes impossible to completely hate them.
I think there won't be any problems, as Zaha and Fudge have sorted things out to some extent during their previous battles.
I think Opera finally managed to put an end to this by hitting Farbreton here.
Rather than completely forgiving, I think a more appropriate approach to revenge would be to take a stance like Fudge's, saying, "If you try to do something bad again, be prepared for the consequences."

Semla seemed like a lone wolf, but it's good to see that he became friends with Bitter after helping her with her diary.

This is the kind of advice I dislike most from my father.
However, I found it amusing to see the bitter expression on his face, as if he was annoyed that the advice was spot-on.

Having completed his mission, Kadayuf himself seems to have begun walking his own path in life.
Kadayuf, a direct descendant of Gadjetas, may have also felt the same desire as the hero to reach unseen horizons.

Just recently, version 0.99, which allows you to play through to the ending, was released on the creator's Twitter. It's a massive game and clearing it was quite a challenge, but the content was fantastic.

In the second half of "Hero's Millennium," the upper blue treasure chests contained bikini armor on the right and Malto Extract on the left.

The character portraits are rich and there are even variations for when they've been hit, so it's more than enough, but it would be even better if there were bikini armor variations (the text is cut off here)

I also managed to clear the game without ever joining the Sabori group.
I saw a comment in Yumegen saying that you can recruit him in chapter 28, so I tried it.
If you talk to Saboly → Millefeuille → Saboly in the first conversation event
We've become allies.

When you defeat Saboly in Chapter 24, he dies,
In that case, the story would branch off around chapter 28, where Hoage joins the party, right?

In the second half of Chapter 26, I found a hidden item called the Dragon's Elixir, located 7 spaces to the right and 8 spaces up from the bottom bridge. Its effect seems to be reviving incapacitated characters.
