This post can be read in about 5 minutes.

Preface

I've been interested in "complete foods" for a while now, and I've occasionally tried them out.
A while ago, I even wrote a review of a food product called "COMP".

There is no clear definition of the term "complete food."
In my case,"Even if you only eat that, you can get all the necessary nutrients in a balanced way."That's what I mean.
To put it in extreme terms, if you just eat that, you don't need to worry about nutritional balance at all.
For people who find planning and preparing meals troublesome, this is probably an appealing option.

A while ago, Nissin Foods, known for products like Cup Noodles, launched a series called "ALL-in" using the term "complete nutritional food."
As someone who's interested in complete foods, I've always wanted to try one someday.

And recently, I discovered that Nissin has an online store, and I learned that I can easily buy Nissin products there.
So this time, we're introducing a pasta-type product in a cup.All-in PASTA: Rich Bolognese with the savory flavor of coarsely ground beef.I tried it.
Below, I will write the conclusion and introduction.

Overall conclusion

To put it bluntly, I don't think it's something I would recommend to others.
The criteria for evaluation are taste, cost-effectiveness, nutritional value, and cooking time.
The taste is below average, the cost is average, the nutrients are sufficient, and it's convenient with a cooking time of just 6 minutes.
I will explain in more detail below.

味

First of all, regarding the taste, it's not delicious.
That said, it's not terribly bad either; it's just barely below average.
Regular pasta is delicious because of its chewy texture and the sweetness of the wheat.
However, the noodles in ALL-in PASTA were like eating bland, rubbery soba noodles.
I hardly noticed any bitterness or anything like that, but sensitive people might find it bothersome.
However, the meat sauce is quite flavorful, so it seems to mask the other flavors.
However, that meat sauce wasn't anything special; it was more like the cheap pasta sauce you'd find at a supermarket for around 100 yen.

Cost performance

Next, regarding cost performance, my impression is that it's not particularly high.
I bought a box of 12 from Nissin Foods' online store for 5443 yen, which works out to about 453 yen per piece (as of March 2020).
Considering the price per meal, it's slightly cheaper than a convenience store bento box, so I don't have the impression that it's particularly cheap or expensive.
Therefore, there was nothing particularly appealing about it in terms of price.

Nutrients

Next, let's talk about nutrients.
The nutritional content of one serving is as shown in the image above.
It contains various nutrients, but the important thing is,The advantage is that it provides one-third of the daily required nutrients.
In theory, if you eat this for all three meals, you will (almost) meet the standards set by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
Since nutrients that tend to be consumed in excess, such as calories, sugars, fats, and carbohydrates, are below the recommended level, I think it's good that you're health-conscious in that respect.
The fact that it allows you to get a balanced intake of nutrients that are often lacking in your diet, such as vitamins, is appealing.
For people who rely on supplements, this might eliminate that need and lower their costs.

Cooking method

The cooking method is very simple, just like with instant cup noodles.
The procedure is to pour in boiling water, wait 6 minutes, drain the water, toss with loosening oil, and then add the pasta sauce.

The contents are as follows.
Take the dried noodles out of the bag and put them into the cup.

The cup has a line marked on it indicating where to pour hot water, which I think is helpful and makes it easy to understand.
While it's possible to warm up ready-made pasta sauces by pouring hot water over them and placing the lid on top, honestly, that doesn't really heat them up properly.
It's a good idea to heat it separately in a hot water bath, or add the sauce to the noodles and then heat it in the microwave.

After pouring in boiling water and draining it, mix the loosening oil into the noodles and stir well.
The oil has a garlicky aroma that stimulates the appetite.
It's not just for loosening the meat; we make sure to mix it thoroughly so that it tastes delicious.

Pour the separately heated pasta sauce over the noodles and mix well.

This is what it will look like.
It takes some time to boil the water, but it comes in a cup container, so it doesn't require much effort to prepare.
In that respect, it's definitely easier because there's no washing up to do.

 In conclusion

As described above, I have written my impressions of the Bolognese sauce at "ALL-in PASTA" from four different perspectives.
It might be okay to take it as a supplement when you have a consistently unbalanced diet.
However, I felt that it lacked appeal in terms of taste, making it suitable as a main dish to eat as a staple.

However, when I ate it for breakfast, it was very filling, and I didn't feel hungry for quite a long time.
Factors that can cause you to feel hungry even after eating include a deficiency in vitamins, minerals, and protein.
ALL-in PASTA is quite excellent in terms of nutrients, so I think it will keep you feeling hungry for a long time.
As a side note, be aware that if your brain is craving these nutrients and sending signals of hunger, consuming foods containing carbohydrates and fats, which you already have enough of, won't significantly alleviate your hunger.

If you're looking for a noodle type in the same "ALL-in" series,"A rich and flavorful oil-based noodle dish with egg yolk sauce and chili oil."や"Rich sesame-flavored tantan mazesoba"There was something like that, and I thought it had a delicious-sounding name.
Once I finish the Bolognese I currently have in stock, I'm thinking of trying that out too.

It is currently sold under the "Complete Meal" brand.
