Released on December 25, 2017Piano solo (intermediate level) sheet music for "Mai Kuraki x Detective Conan COLLABORATION BEST 21 -The Truth is Always in Song!-"This is an introduction.
This is the sheet music I've been eagerly awaiting, and I'm overwhelmed with emotion that it's finally been published.
I found out about it two days before the release date, ordered it immediately on Amazon, and it arrived on the release day.
As far as I know, there have never been any published piano solo sheet music collections of Mai Kuraki's songs.
While there were occasional piano sheet music arrangements for individual songs and anime song collections containing several songs, I don't think there was a sheet music collection solely dedicated to Mai Kuraki's music.
This marks the 21st time a song has been used as a theme song for the same anime, setting a Guinness World Record. The song will be released simultaneously with a CD commemorating this milestone.
From the very first song, "Secret of my heart," to the latest, "Togetsukyo ~Kimi Omou~," all of Conan's theme songs are gathered here.

(The woman with Conan is probably Mai Kuraki, but her lips seem a little thick...)
Personally, I'd love to see a piano solo sheet music collection of songs unrelated to Conan, but with this sheet music now available, I think I can satisfy my desire to play to some extent.
As for the piano solo arrangement, since it's labeled as intermediate level, the level of fidelity to the original song is quite high, and I'm satisfied with it.
Basically, the arrangements are standard and straightforward; I don't think there are any particularly edgy or unconventional arrangements.
The arrangements of "Revive" and "PUZZLE" are very accurate and cool.
"Revive" recreates the exotic feel of the original song's guitar solo using piano.
It's on the more difficult side, but since it recreates the instrumental interlude from the original song, it sounds really cool if you can play it well.
Also, I thought "PUZZLE" would be a difficult song to reproduce on the piano, but the accompaniment is very cleverly done, resulting in a great arrangement.
Learning these kinds of accompaniment techniques from people who do piano arrangements is very educational, as it gives me a lot to work with when I improvise myself.
Other songs, such as "Secret of my heart" and "Time after time ~In the town where flowers dance~," are well-suited to piano, resulting in a satisfying finished product.
For anyone who loves Conan or Mai Kuraki and wants to play their songs on the piano, this is the definitive book.
This might be a bit challenging for beginners, but I encourage you to give it a try.
