This is an introductory article for the simulation RPG "Estoria Continental War Chronicles," created using SRPG Studio.
It's a very orthodox game where you raise units and clear maps, but it has a challenging difficulty level.
Face graphics are mainlyKiyoto KatsukiThe use of his character gives it a fresh and unique feel.
(『Spiritual Legends(This might be familiar to players who have played the game extensively.)
My first playthrough took about 30 hours.
Game Overview

On the continent of Estoria, where humans and monsters are said to have once waged a fierce war, the Montesla Empire suddenly begins its invasion of various countries.
The story begins a month before the Empire launches its invasion, when the swordsmen Ceres and her companions, who have come from another continent, arrive in the port town of Aries.

This game follows the traditional SRPG system.
I'll briefly introduce a few of them.
No difficulty selection available.
This game does not offer difficulty selection.
It seems to be somewhat difficult, so complete beginners might get discouraged and give up.
*Updated November 2024: An Easy difficulty setting has been added to the latest version.
- Save is possible at the start of each turn.
You can save at the start of your turn.
Please note that you cannot save at any time.
- Characters may be lost partway through the story.
In the early stages of this game, even if your allied units are defeated, they are treated as injured and not permanently lost.
However, be careful from the middle of the game onward, as being defeated will result in death.
(There is a way to revive it, by the way.)
・There is a rock-paper-scissors relationship.
A rock-paper-scissors system based on weapon and magic compatibility exists.
The fact that the magnitude of the compatibility bonus changes depending on the unit's weapon level is a system not seen in other games.
Random growth
Unit growth upon leveling up is random.
Since growth is not fixed, you can experiment by saving and loading.
Class change specifications
For main characters, their class will automatically change after clearing a certain chapter.
Other units can be changed in class by using a common promotion item.
There are a reasonable number of class change items available, so you shouldn't run out during normal gameplay.
Depending on the unit, there are multiple class change options, and the level will reset to 1.
- Re-movement is possible
Mounted and flying units can, as a standard feature, move again using any remaining movement points after their action.
If there are multiple enemy cavalry units nearby, you need to be careful as you risk being subjected to a wave of hit-and-run attacks.
Theft occurred.
Thief-type units can steal items that enemies are not equipped with.
While there are no restrictions on physique or other factors, you can generally only steal tools, so it can't be easily abused.
Furthermore, many of the enemy's equipment items are exclusive to them, and even if you steal them, they often only serve as items to sell for money.
Rescue was successful.
If you are with an ally who is smaller than you, you can rescue and carry them.
It's useful to use as it can help you out in a pinch.
- Includes replayability
During your second playthrough, you'll have the added benefit of being able to use the bonus points you've earned to purchase and bring useful items with you from the start.
Review (no spoilers)
I completed the game by exploring both routes.
(After clearing the game once, use the save file before the branching point to play the other route.)
My initial impression was that it was quite difficult.
From the very first chapter, the enemies were quite aggressive and kept targeting isolated allies, resulting in many tense and nail-biting situations.
Things calmed down a bit around the time our allies started changing classes.
The main reason I found it difficult seemed to be the enemy reinforcements.
Except for the early stages, there are almost no maps without reinforcements, and how to deal with these reinforcements becomes a major part of the strategy.
Since there were instances where the enemy took immediate action after reinforcements appeared, some players might find certain situations to be a "first-time killer."
The difficulty of the gameplay sometimes felt a bit monotonous, as it only varied between facing tough enemies or receiving reinforcements.
However, these reinforcements can be used for training, and there's also the exhilarating feeling of mowing down enemies with your ace unit.
The satisfying feeling of quickly defeating enemies is, I think, the primitive enjoyment of SRPGs, so those who like that might enjoy this game.
However, its enjoyment is similar to that of curry rice; it's delicious, but if you eat it all the time, you might get tired of it.
Frequent saving is important to deal with reinforcements, but since you can only save 10 chapter data and 10 map data files, I felt that was a bit insufficient.
Also, given the high difficulty level, it seemed that leveling up and optimizing character growth through boss grinding was quite acceptable.
The existence of weapons that can be used infinitely and are specifically designed to chip away at enemies' health without delivering the final blow might be why boss grinding is recommended.
These kinds of loopholes and techniques should be easily utilized by players familiar with SRPGs, so I think they're a great way to showcase your skills and make playing this game easier.
However, if you don't focus on boss-leveling, your opportunities for growth will be limited, which may lead to difficulties in the later stages of the game.
Players who have a policy against boss tactics may find it more difficult.
There are many allied units, and no matter who you train, they will all become reasonably strong.
It's a tough decision who we should train, but since the individuals who possess the powerful weapons necessary for the final battle are already determined, I think it will naturally fall into place to some extent.
While there are many units to choose from, giving you a lot of freedom of choice, it seems that the truly useful units to raise are practically predetermined for strategy, so how you perceive that may depend on the player.
Many units that join mid-game are quite strong, so it's a tough decision whether to choose them or the units you've nurtured with affection from the beginning.
This might be a design choice to prevent the game from becoming unplayable even if a large number of players are lost.
I didn't have much trouble with money.
I felt that a significant portion of what you need can be covered by equipment obtained from enemy drops and treasure chests.
Also, there were many opportunities to obtain special attack weapons, and since many enemies were vulnerable to them, the satisfaction of exploiting their weaknesses was immense.
In the final stages of the game, you'll acquire a wealth of powerful unique weapons, and you'll experience a cathartic feeling as you equip them to your powerful units that you've nurtured and use them to their fullest potential.
I've written quite a bit, but I couldn't find any typos or omissions, and I think it's a remarkably well-crafted work for a first attempt.
Having played many SRPGs in the past, I have a bad habit of always wanting something new and innovative, which is why I ended up with these impressions.
I think it's a game that will be quite challenging for beginners who play it head-on.
However, I feel that the game is well-balanced in a way that makes SRPG techniques such as boss grinding and careful planning effective, so I think it will be quite rewarding for players who enjoy those kinds of strategies.
Strategy Notes (Spoiler Warning) as of v1.0.3
Common Strategy Notes
・Utilize low-class rings
The low-class rings you can buy using BP at Meme's shop are quite strong, so I recommend them.
It's useful for leveling up low-level units, and it's also useful for giving to your main units in the early stages of the game to further stabilize them.
・Utilizing escort skills
Gilram's guarding skill allows him to fight in place of an adjacent unit if his HP is higher than that unit's.
Even units that are difficult to deploy to the front lines can advance safely if they are positioned next to units with escort skills.
If it's a mounted unit, there's no danger if you position it next to another unit with the escort skill after it has acted.
Since it can be used like a mobile fortress, deploy it with various units, including healers, accompanying it within a 4-square radius. (Tank Desant)
By centering your defense line around units with escorts and forming a cross formation, you effectively create a wall spanning three squares horizontally with the central units, which is very convenient.
I think the Book of Protection can be put to good use if used properly on Annette.
*In the Ceres route, Gilram is not present, so it might be better to create a character with bodyguard skills other than Annette.
Units with bargaining skills
Added in October 2024 (information provided by Akatsuki):
"If you raise Ran to level 10, she'll acquire the skill 'Bargaining,' allowing you to buy things at half price. I think she's definitely the number one character you should raise."
Certainly, being able to buy useful products from places like secret shops at half price is a big advantage.
Prologue: The Encounter
??? is within the enemy's attack range, so let's have someone go and rescue them.
There aren't any other particularly difficult parts, but it's a good idea to get a feel for the game's balance to help you in subsequent chapters.
Chapter 1: The Crisis in Taurus Village
This is a fairly difficult stage right from the start.
Ouka will be exposed to enemy attacks, so talk to her as soon as possible and recruit her to your party.
While it will heal on its own with healing potions, it's a waste because it won't gain experience points while in guest mode.
Visit the house in the upper right corner to get an iron sword, so give it to Ouka, who only has a katana, to save money.
If the fence is breached, enemies will pour in and it will be difficult to defend against them, so use your specialized weapons without hesitation and focus on reducing the number of enemies until the situation calms down.
Put Ceres and Ouka, who have an advantage in the rock-paper-scissors dynamic, at the forefront, and have the other characters focus on support.
Anyone can be defeated quickly after taking just a few hits.
Added in February 2025"If you visit the blue house near the starting point in Chapter 1 with Nia, you will receive a 'Toy Ring☆' after clearing the chapter." (Information provided anonymously)
Chapter 2: The Bandits of Gemini Mountain
We'll be splitting into two groups, so don't forget to give the upper unit some wound medicine.
Since Ceres, equipped with a sword, will be positioned at the bottom, if you don't place Ouka above her, you'll be left without a unit to hold the front line, which will be a big problem.
We quickly recruited Kurtz and established an intercept line.
Bandits can move over mountains, so be careful of their attack range.
It would be much easier if you could defeat Geto in one go with Kurtz's smash attack.
If Thor the Dragon Knight appears, it would be a good idea to help the unit above, which is likely short on combat personnel.
Additionally, reinforcements will appear from caves in various locations every few turns, so you will need to deal with them until things calm down.
Chapter 3: The Monsters of Legend
The flying gargoyles are dangerous, so let's position ourselves so that we can deal with them using archer units.
The basic strategy is to avoid forcing an advance and instead focus on waiting; this should steadily reduce their numbers.
Use your vanguard units to establish a defensive line and advance while protecting your more vulnerable units.
Chapter 4: The Spirit of the Wind
Wind creatures are flying, so they are weak against bows and wind-based attacks.
Prioritize deploying allies equipped with these attack methods to prepare for efficient defeat.
Wind minions will also emerge from the magic circle on the water for a certain period of time, so it's a good idea to position yourself to quickly eliminate them.
If you first steal the Shield Ring from Sylphide with Lotte, it will be easier to deal damage to her.
After stealing, you can safely steal by rescuing the stolen items with mounted units or similar.
The units that attacked Sylphid will also be defeated if they remain in place, so it's best to rescue and retrieve them as well, and then proceed with your strategy carefully.
Chapter 5: Traveling Merchants
The traveling merchant Meme keeps advancing, so this map is dangerous unless you also advance as quickly as possible to avoid being defeated.
Since there are many enemies equipped with axes, it's a good idea to prioritize deploying sword-wielding units, and also units that can use bows and wind magic, as gargoyles will also appear.
If you leave Lotte waiting in the northern cave, you can obtain a Speed Ring, and the exit will be blocked by a goblin wielding a Curly Axe.
However, since Lotte can mostly avoid attacks, I don't think you need to worry about it too much.
Chapter 6: The Two Divine Swords
This is mostly an event map.
If you let your brother and Gallion fight properly, I don't think any mistakes will happen.
Chapter 7: The Swordsman's Pride
Since this is an escape map, I think it's easier to fight while advancing if you bring plenty of units that can act again.
Ouka is isolated (she gets isolated a lot), but since she's equipped with Murasame, the damage will be halved, so the danger should be minimal.
As turns pass, a large number of enemy cavalry units will appear as reinforcements, making it impossible to control the situation.
It can be dangerous to insist on visiting the village, so you may need to give up to some extent.
Advancing outside the northern fence will prevent you from being surrounded by enemies, but be careful as it will become difficult to advance if enemies get stuck in front of you.
As explained on the information gathering screen, the important points to note are that you cannot leave while in rescue mode, and Ceres must be the last to escape.
Be careful, as making a mistake in a critical situation could prevent you from clearing the level.
Those confident in their skills and those who enjoy dedicated play should try their best to defeat the formidable enemies positioned in the lower left corner.
Added in November 2024 (information provided anonymously):
"The tough enemies in Chapter 7 don't offer any special rewards for defeating them. It's just a lot of trouble, so it's best to ignore them."
Chapter 8: The Lurking Shadows
This is a map where all characters must be deployed.
First, let's head towards Neil on the left to recruit him as a companion.
Neil will approach you after a while, but there's a risk of him being killed by the enemy, so talk to him as soon as possible.

On the enemy's sixth turn, reinforcements will appear as described above and will act immediately, so be careful not to advance too aggressively.
If there's a unit that's standing out too much, it'll be subjected to concentrated attacks and quickly result in a game over.
On turn 8, a dragon will appear in the upper right corner.
This opponent is not someone we can defeat, so let's hurry and get out of the situation as quickly as possible.
The enemy will start moving from turn 10 and will approach the exit point by turn 12.
If you haven't reached the exit point by this turn, clearing the stage will be difficult, so be careful.
Added in October 2024 (information provided by Akatsuki):
"By effectively utilizing Feeli's exclusive weapon and pursuit attacks, along with Kurtz's rage, defeating the Sky Dragon becomes possible. And the Sky Dragon Orb—a highly rewarding item—is an exceptional piece that grants a +2 movement bonus."
Chapter 9: The Battle of Libra
We will split the force into two groups and proceed.
There is a turn limit, but there is plenty of leeway, so I don't think clearing it will be too difficult.
As advised before deployment, just be sure to assign a healer to each unit, and proceed slowly.
The weapons shops in town have the same lineup as the shops shown on the sortie preparation screen.
After clearing the game, I received a silver sword from Seagull (only if he survives?).
Chapter 10: A Fateful Encounter
This map is crucial because the key to success lies in how you manage to withstand the initial cavalry charge.
If we can just get through that, we can leave the rest to our allies.
The enemy cavalry attacks in waves, moving again after their initial attack, which is quite troublesome.
Therefore, it's important to chip away at the enemy's health while avoiding entering the attack range of as many enemies as possible at once.
Try to retreat as much as possible while engaging the enemy, and control the number of engagements in the same turn.
If you equip Neil with Drain and further enhance his speed, he can recover HP while simultaneously chipping away at the HP of many enemies.
Chapter 11 Encounter
The control unit will be completely revamped under Gran's leadership.
The enemy isn't particularly strong, but your healing options are limited, so focus on utilizing the rock-paper-scissors advantage and indirect attacks during battle.
I think you'll be able to clear the game more smoothly if you don't worry too much about conserving your weapons.
Chapter 12: Broken Peace
From this chapter onward, defeated units will be considered lost.
Be careful.
Mounted units have their movement range halved unless they dismount.
However, if you're on foot, you're limited to using only swords, which puts you at a disadvantage in the rock-paper-scissors system.
Therefore, I think a good formation would be to leave the main fighting to Gran and Annette, and have Saria provide support.
I suppose it's possible to only ride a horse during combat, but it does require a bit of effort.
If you examine the item bag near the boss, you will obtain the Book of the Righteous Thief (Speed +2).
Chapter 13: The Territory in Chaos
From this map onwards, you will be able to use Celia's stock.
Allocate your resources appropriately to accessories and other items that enhance your abilities.
First, to rescue Acrylic and Suwon, let's move with mounted units, each carrying an infantryman.
You can recruit Ruti to your party by visiting the houses along the way with Suwon.
Along the way, gargoyles will appear as reinforcements from a hole in the forest.
It would be a good idea to have Saria use wind magic to deal with the situation.
Bandit reinforcements will continue to appear, so equip your units with swords and push them to the front lines to fight.
You can leave the shopping to Meme, but be careful not to get too close to the gargoyles, or you'll become their target.
Chapter 13 Side Story: Suppressing the Bandits
Since this is an indoor map, it's best to keep your mounted units on standby.
However, since Tristan improves everyone's accuracy and evasion just by being deployed, I think it's worth deploying him.
First, let's head towards a wall that looks like it can be broken down in order to rescue Ran.
Once Will appears, open Ran's door and add him to your party.
I think we'll have to engage some archers before we can rendezvous with the main force, but I believe Will can defeat them if he fights with his stiletto.
Since many enemies use ranged attacks, it would be helpful to prepare a spear or hand axe to make battles easier.
Also, since you can chip away at the boss Doan's health, you should be able to gain some experience points if you have a decent amount of weapons prepared.
The treasure chest in the bottom left contains the Book of First Strike, and the top right chest contains, from top to bottom, a Master Proof, a Killer Lance, a Magic Potion, and a Lockpicking Staff.
Chapter 14: The Crisis of Latkia
This map involves advancing two units.
The main force should proceed straight west to rescue the village.
Elwin's troops should have Gilram carry some healing items and hold off the pursuers at the bridge for a while.
The other members will go to capture the cavalry unit in the lower right corner of the map.
After a few turns, two enemy cavalry units will continuously appear as reinforcements, so if you leave them alone, you'll be overwhelmed with enemies.
Let's send mobile reinforcements from the main force to provide support.
You will receive a Power Ring (Strength +3) when you visit the village.
The bandits will likely plunder it by the enemy's 8th turn, so if you want to acquire it, advance early.
If we're going to give up on the power ring, then I think it's a good idea for the entire main force to head towards Elwin and the others.
The weapons shop on the isolated island sells weapons that are especially effective against heavily armored soldiers, so you should buy a few (you can also buy them in the next map, Chapter 15).
If you visit the house with the green roof with Torte, you will receive the Sage's Book (Magic +2).
Chapter 14 Side Story: Choice
This map allows you to add one person to your team.
The party consists of four members: swordsman Nagi, knight apprentice Luke, ready-to-fight lancer Roland, and priest Hazel, who is a valuable addition to any group.
With high hopes, I added Luke, who seems like a late bloomer, to my party.
Added in May 2026 (information from an anonymous source):
I recommend Nagi in the side story of Chapter 14.
In the 23rd chapter of the Ceres route, the Water Spirit appears, and the information gathering section "What I'm Lacking" is revealed.
An event occurs where you have to choose from four options (this event probably only appears in the Ceres route?).
Consult with Ouka. Ouka and Nagi will provide support. Learn the skill Meteor (personal skill).
Consult with Shion. Shion and Nagi will provide support. Learn the skill Moonlight (personal skill).
Consult with Ceres. Obtain the Thunder Sword. Stat increases: HP +2, Strength +2, Skill +2, Defense +1.
Solo training: Restores uses of initial equipment, Starfall Sword; increases stats: Magic +2, Skill +1, Speed +1, Luck +1, Magic Defense +2
Note: You can normally only acquire up to 3 personal skills, but you should first learn personal skills using skill books.
If you consult with either Ouka or Shion, you will learn Meteor Star and Moonlight as your fourth personal skill.
Chapter 15: The Defense of Latkia
I found it to be a difficult map (it was tough because I prioritized the event and deployed units like Ran, Will, Torte, and Shitania).
This is a defense map that is cleared by reaching the 13th turn.
A considerable number of reinforcements will appear, so I think we'll end up fighting while retreating in the end.
Rather than thinking about how to train your units, it's simply more difficult if you don't produce a lot of strong units.
First, I want to visit each of the houses, so let's head down before the wall gets torn down.
You can obtain Autoclaire by visiting the rightmost village with Olson.
Since four sections of the wall are expected to collapse, let's send units to act as walls in each of them.
Fighting near the wall puts you within the ballista's attack range, so it's easier to provide support if you fight in the center of the crossroads just before it.
When dealing with enemies wielding hammers or beast killers, be sure to select your tank character carefully.
It's a good idea to have members who are acting as tanks carry healing items and holy water for peace of mind.
Reinforcements keep coming from both sides, so instead of just defeating them one after another, you need to fight in a way that creates a traffic jam without defeating too many, otherwise you'll be overwhelmed and defeated.
On the enemy's fourth turn, allied forces will appear and eliminate the ballistas in the lower left and lower right.
However, your allied forces will be wiped out very quickly, so don't rely on them too much.
On the enemy's 7th turn, five enemy Dragon Knights will appear from the bottom center.
Aside from the boss Sigma, the other enemies aren't very strong, but they can move through walls, so be prepared to counterattack with wind magic or bows.

On the enemy's 8th turn, General Ventus will move in.
Since he has a Thunder Sword, there are no effective means of defense, making him a troublesome opponent.
When they get close, you'll want to take them down quickly with Gran's Halberd or something similar.
Since your units often engage enemy Dragon Knights at the same time, be careful with your positioning.
The treasure chest in the bottom right contains a defensive potion.
You can obtain a barrier ring by visiting the house in the lower left.
I haven't visited the house near the barista in the bottom right corner.
Added in October 2024 (information provided anonymously):"In Chapter 15, the house in the lower right corner required visiting Shitania to obtain a special weapon (a lance with 1-2 hits against mounted and flying units). The easiest way to acquire it is to have the Sky Dragon Orb (movement +2) equipped and retrieve it from outside the ballista's range; otherwise, it might be a matter of luck with dodging."

On the final turn, my only option was to escape, trying to get out of the enemy's attack range at all costs.
Chapter 16: For Whom Is That Sword?
This map will be quite hectic, as you'll need to protect isolated allies from reinforcements.
Ouka and her group would like to stay put, but they will be chased by reinforcements of dragon knights that will appear from two locations on their sixth turn. Therefore, they should try to engage the enemy as little as possible while rejoining the main force.
Orlad could probably escape by charging into the forest on the right.
Once you can control Tia, try to escape towards the bottom right as much as possible.
Be careful not to run too far to the right, as it will make it difficult to persuade Shion as she approaches.
Tia has high magic defense, so she won't have any problems even if she gets attacked a little by the pursuers.

On your sixth turn, five Dragon Knights will appear in the upper center and lower left of the map.
On turn 7, you will encounter enemy mercenary troops, Shion, and reinforcements from the northern dragon knight unit near the center of the map.
The northern flying units should try to draw as much attention as possible to Gilram, who has the taunt ability, to survive.
If Gilram is within attack range, it will likely be targeted first (it seems to prioritize units that can be defeated in one hit).
If you can draw the attention of the flying units, which are difficult to target with a defensive line, to Gilram, then you can use your strong vanguard to intercept the mercenary troops.
Things are quite hectic around here, so it might be a good idea to send out the Thetania to rescue any allies who have been left behind in a dangerous area.
If you can get past the flying units, the rest won't be too difficult.
In short, how you manage the battle from the beginning to the middle is crucial.
Don't hesitate to deploy units strong against airborne enemies, such as Saria and Rutee.
Chapter 17: The Land of the Goddess
You might be tempted to have Fili and his men intercept the mercenary force approaching from the west, but first, head to the right side of town to prepare to hold off and eliminate the bandits who will flee in the next turn.
There are five bandits, and each of them is carrying a valuable item, so you'll definitely want to defeat them.
Even if the enemy troops on the left engage Grace in some combat, she's fairly strong, so I don't think she'll be defeated.
Gran and his main force will advance towards the left side of the map.
If you want to stop the fleeing bandits, it's best to have Shitania carry Gran to the T-junction and hold them off there.
The flying reinforcements appearing from the north are not a threat if you deal with them using units that can use wind magic and bows.
I think the battle will become much easier if you center your forces around Gilram, who has the escort skill, and then arrange wind magic and archer units around him.

There's a secret shop in a suspicious-looking, flat area to the upper left of Grace.
Let's retrieve the membership card from the fleeing bandits.
The secret shop mainly stocked suicide weapons.
If you have the means, you should buy it.
After clearing the game, if you manage to keep all four characters—Grace, Chiffon, Tart, and Soufflé—surviving, you will receive a Knight Ring as a reward.
Chapter 18 Reunion
This is a unique map where almost all of the enemies are flying units.
If you field a team where every unit possesses either wind magic, bows, or a special attack against flying enemies, the battle will be considerably easier.
Gargoyles will appear as a third force along the way, but they are also flying types, so there's no problem.
The annoying thing about flying units is that they can move and attack regardless of the terrain.
However, if you have Gilram, who has the Guard skill, or a powerful unit that has learned the Guard skill, and have mages and archers advance alongside them, units with low defense will not be attacked, making battles much easier.
Let's definitely make use of characters with powerful bodyguard skills.
If you have your character wait in the glowing spot underwater south of the Ice Dragon, you can obtain the Pursuit Ring.
Added in October 2024 (information provided by Akatsuki):
"Chapter 18 & Chapter 21B: By fighting Arthur with Thor, you can dispel the curse of the magic spear and obtain a special weapon with an 80% critical hit rate."
Chapters 18 & 29: In Chapter 18, Ouka's status increases by visiting Mifune's hut. Then, in Chapter 28, you obtain the divine sword Kunasagi by talking to Ouka and Mifune, and there are special battle dialogues with Gallion (with and without the divine sword).
Added in October 2024 (information provided anonymously):
Chapter 18: The effect of the "Ice Dragon Orb" obtained as a reward for defeating the Ice Dragon is +3 to Luck and Constitution.
After clearing Chapter 18, additional side stories are added.
Chapter 18 Side Story: Each Person's Path
This map has no battles, and here the story branches into the Ceres route and the Gran route.
The unit that leaves the party will depend on which option you choose, so be careful not to leave any units with valuable items attached.
After selecting a route, you can organize your items on the stage's deployment preparation screen.
Grand Route
Chapter 19A: The Princess of the Empire
This map forces you to defend while simultaneously launching offensive attacks.
Be careful, as the game ends immediately if enemies invade the town below the castle.
Airmen coming from the south can easily fly over walls, so defending near your starting position is dangerous.
We need to establish a defensive line once we've advanced a certain distance south.
Since enemy reinforcements will continuously arrive from both the east and west, it's best to assign around three soldiers to each side to deal with them.
Since we won't have the resources to provide healing, it's best to have each character carry healing items so they can heal themselves.
Reinforcements will stop arriving after 13 turns, so until then, you can focus on dealing with the enemies in front of you.
The Arias appearing from the bottom right should be directed northward, with the goal of having them join forces with the troops covering the eastern front.
You must use Aria's Elysion and Mariabelle's Viridis without hesitation to quickly defeat approaching enemies, otherwise you'll be in danger.

After the reinforcements run out, the bosses, Shin and Rai, will head north.
Both have high combat abilities, so it's safer to defeat them with wind magic or bows rather than in close combat (they do possess weapons that can be used both close and close range, so they will retaliate).
Regular air troops will also be coming, so if you don't gather a certain amount of forces in the center by this time, you'll be in big trouble.
The boss, Knives, will start moving once you've used up all your curses.
If the unit has 1 HP, the curse will no longer hit it, so it might be a good idea to use up all of its HP before fighting.
Chapter 19 Side Story A: Blazing Fire and Wind Blade
Just like the previous map, reinforcements will appear from three directions.
You can clear the stage by simply enduring the current situation, but ideally, you should collect the treasure chest and defeat the boss in the bottom right corner.
You can leave the task of collecting the treasure chests to the enemy thieves, and then block the entrance to the room after they've entered, allowing you to easily obtain the items.
Thieves are fairly strong, so be careful about the strength of the units you send against them.
On the enemy's 11th turn, the boss, Ain, will move to the center.
This is a formidable enemy with high speed and attack power, so you'll suffer heavy losses if you don't use your ace unit against it.
Be careful.
The Chamber boss in the bottom right has high attack power, but it doesn't move, so attack it at your own timing.
The treasure chest in the room on the right contains the Dragon Lance, Ice Edge, and Sleep Staff.
The treasure chest in the bottom left contains the Sword of Prayer and the Book of Guaranteed Hit.
Added in December 2024 (information provided by Gail):
"There's a secret shop in the flower at the western edge of the map, where special attack weapons are sold."
Chapter 20A: The Roaring Thunder
You can persuade Atti with Elwyn and Ada with Gran (for 10,000 gold), so keep that in mind when playing the game.
If you proceed slowly and carefully, it's not that difficult, but if you try to protect the village, it becomes quite challenging.
Since both options offer 5000G, if defending the village across the river seems too difficult, giving up might be a good option.
On the enemy's fourth turn, reinforcements will appear from the fort and act immediately, so you need to be careful or it will be dangerous.
The fort across the river is dangerous because it has ballistas, so it's easier if you block off the two locations on this side as soon as possible.

Around the 8th turn, flying units will appear from the north-central part of the map and move south.
You can recruit Ada, one of the characters, by talking to her in Gran and paying her money.
Ada has the Mind's Eye skill, which makes her immune to arrow attacks, so she can act without worry even against ballistas.
Using Ada makes visiting the village across the river much easier.
Another method might be to have a flying unit guard it, and then retrieve it with a rescue staff after the visit.
Around the ninth turn, Atti and Lati will appear and come towards you.
Atti can be persuaded to retreat by talking to Elwin, so adjust your positioning accordingly.
Since the ballista only has 5 shots, the safest approach is to wear it down with a tough unit.
Similarly, use Elcito's Thunderstorm on units with high magic defense.

Incidentally, Elshito is a very easy opponent to defeat in Bosschik.
If you have the Spear of Instruction, you can level up safely and reliably, so it's a good idea to use it.
I don't usually do boss grinding, but this game is quite difficult and has a lot of units, and I've accumulated quite a few Master Proofs, so I leveled up all my lower-class units to level 20.
Chapter 21A: Lang's Ambition
This map is a long and challenging one, with many reinforcements and a strong boss, Lang.
Make sure you don't run out of healing items.
Since some enemies use sleep and silence staves, it's a good idea to have a healing staff ready.
First, we'll split up and attack from both sides.
Small numbers of reinforcements will continuously appear from the stairs and the edges of the map.
Let's leave the unit that will be handling the situation behind, and the other members should move on.
If you're worried about your forces' strength, it might be a good idea to spend some turns waiting until the reinforcements stop arriving.
When moving indoors, be aware that the movement speed of units other than walking units will be halved.
Pay attention to the attack range of the Meteor-wielding enemy in the throne room, wear them down, and wait for both sides to converge.
Once you're ready, let's defeat Cadmus.
Defeating Cadmus and moving the lever will open the door to the throne, and a large number of reinforcements will appear.
Reinforcements will continue to arrive for a while, so don't attack the throne until things have settled down. Secure your base first before launching your attack.
Lang is a formidable opponent; when his HP drops below half, he will always land a critical hit.
In my case, I weakened the enemy with Elwin's Excalibur (which was somewhat leveled up) and then defeated it with Torte's Concentrated Hellblaze (making the most of the support effects).
If Torte and Elwin aren't leveled up, it will be difficult to defeat him unless you manage to make him use up all of Thor's Hammer's uses.
If you equip the Sealing Shield, which can be obtained from treasure chests, or the Guardian's Spear, you won't take follow-up attacks, so you should be able to withstand Thor's Hammer relatively safely.

Chapter 21A: A secret shop is located near the flower to the right of Cadmus. Killer-type and dragon-specific weapons are sold there.
Chapter 22A: Return
This map requires you to divide your forces into two groups and advance.
Reinforcements will appear, but they won't be too fierce, so I think you can defeat them relatively calmly.
The Almiraj that appear as reinforcements can only be attacked with range 1.
You'll need to be prepared for a counterattack, so make sure you have units that excel at direct attacks.
On turn 8, a wyvern will appear in the upper right corner.
Its range is only 1, and there are many effective ways to attack it, so it probably won't pose much of a threat.
After clearing the game, Gran will finally be able to change classes.
I believe you've reached level 20, but if not, please raise your level to the maximum.

Chapter 22A: If you deliver the final blow to the boss with Gran, you will be entrusted with a weapon.
Chapter 23A: Earth Spirits
The process involves activating the lever in the small room at the back, which opens the golden door near the starting point.
After that, you step onto the magic circle inside and warp to the boss's room.
There aren't any exceptionally strong enemies, but the Earth-element creatures are tough, so try to defeat them using special attack weapons (like Bardiche) if possible.
Reinforcements will appear from holes in various parts of the map for a certain number of turns.
On the 10th turn, an Earth Dragon will appear from the hole in the center.
You can clear the stage without defeating it, but if you do, you can obtain the Earth Dragon Orb (Defense and Magic Defense +3).
Gaius, the boss, is a formidable opponent, but he will not move his throne.
Deploy your ace and healing units, and fight steadily.
Since it recovers a fair amount of HP each turn, moderate damage won't be enough to deal an effective blow. Be careful.
Ceresroot
Chapter 19B: The Port Town of Shiel
If the enemy invades the city, you will lose, so you need to enter the city quickly and defend it.
I think our allies will be able to stop the monster that's trying to break down the wall on the left side of the town.
However, the flying boss coming from the upper right will invade the city by the enemy's fifth turn.
Be careful, as you won't make it in time unless you send flying units there immediately.
If it's difficult to win alone, bring along a unit equipped with archers or wind magic and fight together as a team.
Chapter 19 Side Story B: The Way of the Ruffians
It would be difficult to fight the fleet members head-on, so let's take a route that goes around them from the east.
It's best to intercept the incoming enemy cavalry in a calm, stable location near the bottom right of the map.

When you're almost finished, use the flying unit to quickly visit all the villages.
If you talk to Harper in Ceres during that turn, you will clear the quest, allowing you to safely visit the village.

By the way, there's a secret shop in the flat area on the left side of the forest.
Special attack weapons like the Wing Sword and Wing Spear will be immediately useful, so if you have the money, you should buy them.
Chapter 20B Soaring into the Heavens
This map has a large number of enemy air units deployed.
To counterattack, having plenty of archers, wind magic users, and flying units will make the battle much easier.
Be careful, as reinforcements consisting of Archers, Lancers, and Knights will appear from the fort along the way.
Once you defeat the boss Fondant, Millia will retreat.
Since they possess a divine dragon artifact, fighting them head-on is dangerous.
You can obtain a gold medallion inside the cave.
However, be careful, as a demonic dragon will appear nearby as soon as you acquire it.
Added in November 2024 (information provided anonymously):
"When I defeated Millia in Chapter 20B, she was treated as dead rather than retreating, so she probably won't join my party afterward, and I'll just ignore her. There was no special reward either."
Chapter 21B: Duane the Mercenary King
There are two routes, but I chose the one that goes east first and then north.
Even if there are no bandits to raise the drawbridge across the river, Chuck will join your party in a house near your starting position, so it's not a problem if you forget to deploy him.
After crossing the river with the drawbridge, Gawain's crew begins their southward march.
Therefore, make sure to use up your shooter's ammo before crossing the river.
Furthermore, by utilizing the ability to move flying units again, you can eliminate enemy cavalry units without having to wait on the other side of the river.
Let's prepare as much as possible so that things will be easier later on.
All of the Gawain squadron members are equipped with silver-colored weapons, giving them high attack power.
Make sure you're well-prepared so you can defeat them in one turn.
Duane will move and attack once you enter his attack range.
Due to the Shield of Ajax, which negates special attack effects, and the defensive bonus from Gunginir, it is difficult to land effective physical attacks.
Since its magic defense is low, concentrate your magic attacks on it from outside its attack range to defeat it.
By the way, there's a secret shop in a single-square mountain area in the forest to the lower left of where Duane is located.
Killer-type equipment and weapons that are effective against dragons are sold here.

"If Thor investigates the northern ruins in the Ceres route, you can obtain the Ring of Guaranteed Hit."
Chapter 22B: Battle on the Ships
This map's objective is either to survive 12 turns or to defeat Talaria.
Talaria is a tough opponent, so if it seems too difficult to defeat, it might be best to skip her.
Gubin's Darkbringer is a valuable dark magic spell with a range of 1-3, so it would be best to defeat him if possible.
On turn 3, three gargoyles will appear from the upper left of the map, and three beholders will appear from the lower right.
After a few turns, pirate reinforcements will appear, but if you're lucky, they might fight the monsters instead.
On turn 6, Harpe will appear in the center as an allied reinforcement.
The goal is to defeat Talaria, but Mjolnir is very powerful, so be sure to fight cautiously with units equipped with swords.
If defeating it seems too difficult, you can wait 12 turns to pass.
The treasure chest on the right contains a Book of Provocation, and the treasure chest on the left contains a Book of Piercing.
Chapter 23B Water Spirits
After clearing this map, Ceres will undergo a class change.
Try to raise your level to 20 to increase your opportunities for growth.
This map features floor gimmicks that appear and disappear depending on the turn.
Be aware that floors are treated as indoors, which will reduce the movement speed of mounted units.
Bandit-type characters can move freely on waterways, so they have a high degree of freedom.
Of course, the same applies to flying systems.
Be careful, because if a unit disappears while crossing the floor, that unit will become unable to move.
If it's adjacent to another floor, you can escape to that floor.
Enemy flying units will continuously emerge from each magic circle.
Given the significant limitations on our movement, these reinforcements will be quite troublesome.
If possible, blocking off the magic circles one by one will make the battle a little safer.
On turn 10, a wind dragon will appear in the lower left corner.
Be careful, as it has fairly high mobility.
If you have an effective weapon like a Dragon Killer, you should be able to defeat it without any problems.
Once the reinforcements have subsided, let's slowly gather our allies together.
Triaina is strong both physically and magically, so let's have all of us support our ace in battle.
The treasure chest in the bottom left contains the Hero's Spear, the two in the top right contain the Sword of Light Mitum (magic axe), and the one in the center right contains the Sword of Flame.

*A conversation occurred when Rutee and Triaina fought.
After the route merges
Chapter 24: Covert Operations
The Ceres army and the Gran army will merge, making it a large group once again.
Since the separated units have grown to a certain extent, consider swapping them out if you feel they might be useful.
Additionally, you'll receive two class change items specifically for Princesses and Lords, so use them as needed.
The objective is to defeat the boss by heading south along each of the three separate paths.
The rogue assassins, who have a high evasion rate, won't attack you directly, but they will try to break through the defensive line by heading north, so be careful not to let them get away.
While its presence detection skill makes it easy to dodge indirect attacks, it's still troublesome because it uses poisoned daggers in close combat.
In terms of boss strength, Ixion in the middle is the toughest opponent, followed by Haumea on the right, and finally Sedona on the left.
If you have the Evasion skill, you can fight Ixion while preventing its special attack, but it's still a formidable opponent with high attack power.
In my case, I put it to sleep with a Sleep Staff, then defeated it with Torte's Concentrated Hellblaze. (Sleep is removed after taking damage once, but that one hit will have a hit rate of 1001 TP 3T)
On turn 10, Farmine will appear in the lower center (he will not move).
Gallion will appear in the bottom right corner of the map on turn 11, so you'll be in trouble if you don't finish the battle by then.
Position the guest's flying units in the mountainous area separating the three routes, allowing them to provide flexible support to units in dire straits.

The secret shop is located in the mountains at the bottom of the map, midway between the left and central passages (only one square is a "path" terrain).
Chapter 25: The Battle of the Serbian Bridge
This map requires you to advance while dealing with enemy forces in front and reinforcements arriving from the sea.
I'd like to deploy at least two flying units to deal with the enemies on the left and right.
Shooters can be eliminated by using Ada, using Sora's music to quickly close the distance, or by using the Heavy Knight's escort to approach and defeat them.
The long ballista below is quite far away, so I think it's easiest to withstand five hits with a unit that has high defense.
From the two outlying fortresses on the left and right, pirates will continuously appear from the upper two, and dragon knights from the lower two.
If you rush south, you'll run out of manpower, so I think it's best to at least eliminate the shooters before cautiously advancing south.
On turn 12, a wind dragon will appear in the north-central part of the map.
I doubt there are any allied units nearby, but be careful as you'll be attacked if you're close.
Be careful, as Lambert will move once you get close enough.
Also, once you reduce the number of enemies to a certain level, Reic will retreat.
Chapter 26: The Knight of a Fallen Kingdom
Since this is a desert map, the movement speed of regular cavalry units and infantry will be reduced.
I think it will be easier to clear the stage if you deploy a large number of magic-users, thieves, and flying units.
The enemies that inflict curses that reduce your HP to 1 are troublesome, so be careful of their attack range as you proceed.
Its accuracy isn't very high, but if your HP is reduced to 1 and you're in a position where other enemies are attacking, it's extremely dangerous.
Let's eliminate them while ensuring safety.
On turn 8, Dragon Masters Rai and Shin will appear in the lower right corner of the map.
If you defeat one of them, the other will retreat, so defeat the one that has the equipment you want.
On turn 10, Percival and Bowhort will appear from the village.
Valuable items are buried around the bone formations in various parts of the map.
Since thieves are guaranteed to pick up items, it's a good idea to send at least one of them into battle.
The items that are currently buried are as follows (there may be others):
Top left: Flame spear,
Bottom left bone: Staff of full recovery
Center: Gold bar, ☆Artemis (bow)
Bottom right ①: Luna's Sword
Bottom right ②: Staff of Silence

Chapter 26: A secret shop in the lower left corner where daggers are sold.
Chapter 27: The Fire Spirit
Be careful, as some areas on the floor where you wait may inflict 10 damage.
It's a good idea to deploy plenty of units that can heal.
The fire dragon isn't that tough if you have a weapon that's effective against dragons, so eliminating it early will make it easier to deal with enemy reinforcements.
Since flying reinforcements will continuously appear from the magic circle on the lava, it would be a good idea to deploy two flying units so that you can respond quickly.
Fire minions will also appear from the northern cave every other turn.
The fire minions, which appear in large numbers as reinforcements, are vulnerable to weapons that are effective against heavy knights.
Having armor killers and piercing spears prepared will make the battle easier.
Chapter 28: Total War
The enemy is numerous and highly skilled; it truly feels like an all-out war.
Although you are surrounded, splitting your forces will reduce your strength, so it would be best to first advance with everyone at Ricca and her group in the upper left.
Since there are quite a few magic-using enemies, it's much easier to fight if you have units that can use dark magic charge in.
We'll likely encounter airborne troops from two directions along the way, so let's prioritize engaging them first.
Also, Palmier, located in the lower left of the map, will teleport one monster each turn, but it's not that threatening, so just bear with it for a while.
After defeating Rikka and her group, use the narrow terrain of the nearby dense forest to hold off the enemy until reinforcements arrive.
Once the reinforcements have subsided, I think we can defeat them without too much trouble if we launch an offensive.

In Chapter 28, "Total War," you can obtain the Staff of Reactivation by examining the glowing area in the cave in the lower right corner.
However, it seems that you can only investigate this with a thief-type class. (I was able to investigate it with an Assassin named Ran.)
Furthermore, if you investigate, a dragon will appear.
Chapter 29: The Emperor's Path to Supremacy
This map requires you to split your forces into two groups and advance through the map.
The procedure is as follows: With your allies positioned on the reliefs in the upper right and upper left, Gran will stand in front of the throne door, and the door will open.
The troublesome part is the enemy reinforcements that keep coming from all directions.
They start appearing from the middle of the game, but they can also be found at each staircase, near the initial positions on the left and right, at two locations under the staircases on the left and right below the central prison, and after entering the throne room, they can also appear from the staircase inside the throne room.
You'll need to keep units on standby to secure the reliefs on both sides, but reinforcements will appear from the stairs below, so you'll also need units to block that area.
Gallion, who is in the throne room, is a formidable opponent, but if you use Mifune, who has a skill that inhibits activation, you can fight him relatively safely.
Be careful, as the Comet skill can be dangerous when activated.
The enemy reinforcements are numerous, and many of them inflict poison.
Equip your advanced class units, who can use staves, with healing staves whenever possible.
Chapter 29 Side Story: Light that Illuminates the Darkness
This map is played with 10 members plus Gil.
The prison cells can only be opened with Gil, so you need to rescue them one by one.
Certain actions will trigger an epidemic, causing all waiting enemies to move, and reinforcements will begin to appear from the corners and central staircases of the map.
The enemies that appear from the central staircase are quite dangerous because they use a curse that reduces your HP to 1.
Until everything is ready, we need to do our best to avoid being noticed.
The enemies guarding the levers on the left and right sides of the map are stationary, and they will notice you if you attack them.
The two patrolling assassins will notice you if you enter their attack range, so be very careful.
You can defeat the enemies standing in front of each prison cell.

The idea is to move Gil in the same direction as the patrolling assassins (counterclockwise), opening the prison cells one by one.
If you leave your freed allies in the prison cell, they'll be spotted by patrolling assassins, so hide them in one of the four corners of the map (where there are stairs or escape points).
When passing in front of the lever, you can avoid being noticed by weaving through areas outside of its attack range.
Once you've rescued everyone, prepare to attack and eliminate the enemies in front of the levers on the left and right.
It's best to make your move when the patrolling assassin is furthest away.
Once you eliminate the enemies in front of the lever, reinforcements will appear.
The enemy that uses Curse in the center is quite troublesome, so make sure to take them down as your top priority.
After being weakened by Curse, you can be easily defeated if attacked by Negro with its guaranteed hit skill.
The reinforcements that appear from the corner staircase aren't very strong, so assigning one unit to each should be sufficient.
Epidemic cannot break through attack restrictions without Judgment or Prefill, so if you don't have these, it's better to retreat quickly without taking any risks.
Chapter 30: The Dragon King and the Holy Sword
This map follows a sequence where you offer stones at four altars, after which a large boss appears in the center.
Be careful not to leave any units that are not currently deployed holding stones.
A large number of dragon-type enemies will appear as reinforcements, so be prepared to deal with them.
You'll likely struggle unless you prepare plenty of wind magic and bows that are effective against flying enemies, as well as weapons that are effective against heavily armored enemies.
At the start, there are suddenly many enemy units nearby.
Let's set up our initial units in a way that allows us to first eliminate the enemies on the right, who have high mobility.
Once you've intercepted the first wave, you can gradually advance while intercepting the advancing enemy, and there shouldn't be any problems.
When you offer the four stones, Lars will appear in the center.
After Lars appears, many dragons will appear as reinforcements, making things difficult, so be prepared to finish him off as quickly as possible.
Added in November 2024 (information provided anonymously):
"The broken pillar in the bottom right that you can examine? If you examine it with Shiro, you will obtain a fragment of a spirit stone. <Skill name??? Accessory of a skill that Shiro knows>"
Chapter 30 Side Story: Preparation for the Decisive Battle
This map is for preparing before the decisive battle.
There are various shops, so stock up on plenty of items.
If you have Ran, who has bargaining skills, she would be a good fit.
They sell weapons for fighting dragons and monsters, as well as staves for long-range healing, so sell any equipment you don't need to make some money.
Also, you can buy doping items and valuable equipment at the secret shop, so stock up if you have the means.
Chapter 31 Demon Island
This map has two main routes.
Since many enemies are dragons, monsters, or flying creatures, make sure to equip each unit with a weapon that specializes in dealing with them.
In this map, reinforcements will also appear from the cave.
Since the terrain is mostly mountainous and riveric, deploying a larger number of flying units will make it easier to deal with various types of enemies.
The named enemies resembling the Twelve Demon Generals guarding Zaias are all quite powerful.
It's dangerous to engage in combat unless you eliminate enemy reinforcements and surrounding enemies before calmly engaging in battle.
Chapter 32: The Ancient Demon King
You need to divide your forces into four groups and defeat all four manifestations of the Demon Lord positioned in the back within the same turn.
Reinforcements keep appearing from the side of the boss, so you need to quickly suppress them before the enemy numbers increase.
If you can block the boss's reinforcements, it won't move, giving you more leeway to send reinforcements to allies in other areas, for example.
Even if your physical body is depleted, it recovers about 20 HP each turn.
It's safer to weaken them to some extent before trying to defeat them all at the same time.
Once you defeat the manifested form, the doors around the Demon King's room will open.
The Demon Lord receives support effects from the surrounding pillars, so let's destroy the pillars before engaging in combat.
Final Chapter: Towards the Future
This is the final map.
The damage dealt to all allies at the start of each turn by Orlaig, combined with the enemy reinforcements, makes things extremely difficult.
Since you can't block the reinforcement points, let's proceed with a formation that allows you to defeat them as soon as they appear.
Since Orlaig is protected by magic crystals, you should destroy at least two of the protective crystals before engaging in combat.
Even if you destroy the crystal, it will reappear the next turn, so it's important to keep destroying it every turn.
Therefore, the roles of the 20 allies can be divided as follows:
Gran and Ceres (two people) continue to attack the Demon Lord.
- A unit (minimum 7 people) that continuously defeats reinforcements each turn.
- A unit (minimum 4 people) that continuously destroys crystals
- Units (2 people) to heal Gran & Ceres
- A unit (5 members) to fill in the gaps
With this role in mind, let's consider what items to give each unit.
Equipping units responsible for eliminating reinforcements with weapons effective against flying enemies, monsters, or dragons will make defeating them much easier.
Since Orlaig has a large HP of 500, it's important to keep Gran and Ceres adjacent to each other and continuously use guaranteed critical hits.
In the turn you go for the finishing blow, you don't need to destroy the regeneration crystal, so you can use units equipped with the Divine Dragon Artifact to attack as well.
Unit usage impressions - after clearing the first playthrough (spoiler alert)
I'd like to write some brief comments about the units I deployed on the final map.
Please be gentle with your comments, as these are just my personal opinions.
・Grand

As befits a protagonist, he was reliably strong and dependable.
Because the class change happened a little late, the unit remained at level 20 in a lower class for a somewhat long time. In the mid-game, it relinquished its ace position to other units, but by the end of the game, its necessary parameters were almost maxed out.
However, he was often defeated by enemy special attacks, so he didn't give the impression of being an invincible force.
The Sky skill was powerful and proved to be very reliable in terms of offense.
Ceres

While not exceptionally powerful, her support skills were useful, making her an indispensable presence on the front lines.
Since I could only equip swords, I wanted to compensate with magic swords, but my magic power wasn't high enough, so I decided to forgo ranged attacks.
There were times when it wasn't powerful enough to completely defeat the enemy, but once Azure Sky started activating reliably, it became a great asset.
・Tear

I initially thought she would just be good at healing, but Prifil is so powerful that she's become a very useful unit as an attacker as well.
Even when I was about to be defeated, my high luck meant that my prayer would activate with a 90% probability, which gave me a sense of stability.
Torte

He was included in the starting lineup from the beginning and played a key role for a long time after joining the team.
Since fire magic is somewhat unreliable in terms of accuracy, I equipped her with wind magic and used it to easily defeat flying enemy units.
It was reassuring to know that I could unleash violent power by concentrating my mind and using Hellblaze when it mattered most.
Even though it's understandable that he's not very durable, Torte was easier to use than Elwin.
Suwon

He excelled as an archer, reliably defeating enemies.
Since there are limited weapons with a range of 3 that can perform physical attacks, weapons like the Longbow and Noir remained useful until the very end.
The rapid-fire skill, which could be used at crucial moments, was powerful and useful.
Annette

This tank unit played a crucial role.
Since Gilram's bodyguards were so strong, I also taught Annette the bodyguard skill and made good use of it.
The ability to heal independently through first aid skills was a powerful fit for the role, as it allowed for self-sufficiency.
This character was central to combat because they could protect units with low durability on the front lines while also providing support.
I boosted my HP significantly with doping to make the most of my bodyguard skills.
Ouka

I had been diligently training my characters, expecting a decisive battle with Gallion later on, but it turned out that Mifune, who joined midway through the game, was perfectly capable of handling the situation.
That said, the Meteor skill is powerful, and I think it was quite effective even though I could only equip a sword.
It pairs well with Ignis, whose range is 1-2, resulting in considerable offensive power.
Furthermore, the damage reduction provided by Murasame, which compensates for its low defensive capabilities, was quite reassuring, and it also proved useful as an evasion tank.
・Sheara

Although she joined the team late in the game, her class change made her the strongest magic unit.
The skills of the sorcerer's prodigy, swift and lightning-fast, and magic circulation are powerful, but above all, I enjoyed the warp skill the most.
While there aren't many opportunities for him to shine, if his "Swift and Fierce" ability activates after warping, he can launch a lightning-fast attack, making him a unit with a unique feel that's rare in SRPGs.
Sora

This unit was always useful, as it allowed allies to act again depending on the situation.
Being able to heal at no cost was incredibly reassuring when leveling up by repeatedly defeating bosses.
Because the ability to act again was so powerful, I rarely used offensive or defensive melodies.
Aria

I worked hard to raise the characters that were displayed on the title screen, believing they would definitely become strong.
He is strong, but compared to the other two main characters, he seems to be a step behind in terms of skills.
The parameter adjustments provided by Elysion are very powerful, but there was a dilemma: they were so valuable that I didn't want to use them too often.
However, since the effect of charisma spreads over a fairly wide area, it's a unit you'll want to deploy as much as possible.
Ada

From its initial appearance, it possessed the "Mind's Eye" skill, making it an extremely useful unit as it was immune to special attacks.
His development was completely problem-free, and he truly excelled as a guerrilla fighter.
The high degree of certainty provided by the guaranteed hit skill is also one of its attractions.
He was strategically important as the one who eliminated the shooters.
・Thetania

In the early stages, this unit wasn't particularly impressive, but as its magic power increased, it became more compatible with magic weapons and began to perform well.
Unlike Ada, she doesn't have the "Mind's Eye" ability, so caution is needed against shooters, but she proved to be a valuable skirmisher.
Kisara

I like mounted archers, so I raised one.
The Mamluks have a very high bonus in grassland areas, so I mainly deployed them on outdoor maps.
He wasn't very tough, so I didn't end up giving him a sword.
・ Ren

Compared to Kisara, it seems to have slightly higher offensive capabilities due to its powerful shots.
However, since they had a similar feel when used, I often deployed them together in combination for their support effects.
Trisha

Basically, its main role is as a healer.
Since my weapon level was already high when I joined the party, I was grateful that I could use a variety of staves.
・ Orlad

Its stats, such as skill and speed, grew well, making it strong in battles against monsters.
I didn't use my continuous casting skill very often, even when it was meant to be a crucial moment.
・Ati

I didn't really want to send him out into battle because he couldn't use a staff, but I did send him out because he had the Divine Dragon Artifact.
Since there aren't many units that can use dark magic, it was good that I was able to give this unit powerful dark magic.
・ Elwin

I left the firepower to Torte, and changed Elwin's class to a Force Knight, prioritizing mobility.
While its pure combat power is inferior to Torte's, this is acceptable because the Divine Dragon Artifact Excalibur is not primarily focused on firepower.
My magical power wasn't growing well, so I used doping a few times.
Ruin

Its high magic defense and compatibility with psychic magic made it useful because it was tough enough to charge into groups of enemy magic attackers without any problems.
Giving it a drain allows it to become self-sufficient and provides stability.
I also think he's one of the most handsome guys, along with Percival.

Chapter 26: By talking to Percival with Rutee, you can access the side story and obtain Rutee's exclusive Divine Dragon weapon, the "Holy Bow".
Chapter 27: Neil and the Fire Dragon have a special event, but I received no reward from them, so I might be missing some kind of trigger.
Chapter 28: After almost completely eliminating the enemies, you can recruit Keimos by having Gran and Aria engage in battle and conversation with him one by one.
Chapter 30: I think there's something suspicious about the dragon's pedestal, but even though I have all five orbs, the event doesn't trigger. I might be missing some flag.
If you raise Ran to level 10, she will acquire the skill "Bargaining," allowing you to buy things at half price. I think she's the number one character you should definitely raise.
Thank you for all the helpful information.
It seems I've missed quite a few important events, and I realized there are so many different elements involved.
I will add this to the strategy guide.
So, it is possible to obtain the sacred sword Kusanagi.
It felt strange that I couldn't get it, so I'm relieved!
Even though there were hints of special events, I didn't have much time to deploy units I hadn't leveled up, so I seem to have overlooked quite a few.
Even characters who aren't main characters have their own unique weapons and events, making it a game where you'd want to use your favorite characters.
> I haven't visited the house near the barista in the bottom right.
The house in the lower right of Chapter 15 required a visit to Shitania to obtain a special weapon (1-2 spears with a special attack against mounted and flying units).
The easiest way to acquire it is to equip the Sky Dragon Orb (Movement +2) and retrieve it from outside the ballista's range; otherwise, it might be a matter of luck with dodging.
Thank you for your comment.
The fact that you can make any character perform reasonably well by equipping them with their exclusive weapons or powerful, one-of-a-kind equipment means you can use your favorite characters.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this information.
Chapter 18: The effect of the "Ice Dragon Orb" obtained as a reward for defeating the Ice Dragon is Luck and Constitution +3
After clearing Chapter 18, additional side stories are added.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the article.

We do not intend to cover conversational information, so we will not add it to the article.

Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the article.
Chapter 28: A secret shop is located in the upper right corner of the shop. Killer-type weapons and magic-dependent weapons are sold there.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the article.
The tough enemies in Chapter 7 don't offer any special rewards for defeating them. It's just a lot of trouble, so you're better off ignoring them.
After defeating Millia in Chapter 20B, she was treated as dead rather than retreating, so she won't join your party afterward, and you can just ignore her. There were no special rewards either.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the article.
Since the game had been significantly updated, I decided to play from the beginning. Even in Chapter 1, there were several changes, including new allies that probably weren't present in version 1.03. Enjoying these changes on a second playthrough might be a good idea.
(The difficulty level around that point was quite high for the early stages, so I think it was a good adjustment.)
Thank you for the information.
The latest version seems to have added features such as an easy difficulty setting.
The beginning was indeed quite difficult...
I've added the version number to the heading of the strategy guide, just to be sure.
List of battle counts after clearing the game
Only Karty's name is displayed as "???" lol
By the way, our ace was Lotte (Assassin).
If you grant the individual skill Evasion +10, lo and behold,
Almost all enemies, with a few exceptions, have a hit rate of 0 or less than 10.
Furthermore, because it doesn't have high durability, it's often targeted first, making it excellent as an evasion tank.
We often had the entire team on the left wing and Lotte on the right wing.
In SRPGs, a character specializing in evasion becomes an incredibly reliable unit, doesn't it?
In games advertised as having a high difficulty level, solo playstyles are often countered, making it quite challenging.
For example, if the game is set up in hard mode and there are enemies with guaranteed hit skills scattered throughout, this could be a good countermeasure.
In most SRPGs, the enemy's hit rate is high in hard mode, making attacks practically guaranteed to hit. It also serves as a countermeasure against units with unexpectedly high evasion rates.
In Chapter 21, "Mercenary King Duane," on the Ceres route, Thor can find the Ring of Guaranteed Hit by investigating in the northern ruins.
In Chapter 30, "The Dragon King and the Holy Sword," the broken pillar in the lower right corner can be examined with Shiro to obtain a fragment of a spirit stone. <Skill name: ??? - Accessory for Shiro's learned skill>
In Fire Emblem, the traditional strategy of surrounding an enemy with the three Pegasus Sisters triggers a Triangle Attack (guaranteed critical hit).

Chapter 19 Side Story A: Blazing Fire and Wind Blade
There's a secret shop near the flowers at the western edge of the map, where you can buy special attack weapons.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the article.
In Chapter 1, if you visit the blue house near the starting point with Nia, you will receive a "Toy Ring☆" after clearing the chapter.
Thank you for the information.
Just in case, I'll add this to my strategy notes.
In Chapter 28, "Total War," you can obtain the Staff of Reactivation by examining the glowing area in the cave in the lower right.
However, it seems that you can only investigate this with a thief-type class. (I was able to investigate it with an Assassin named Ran.)
Also, if you investigate further, a dragon will appear.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the article.
Thank you for the valuable information.
I have added an update to Chapter 14, the side story.
