Londria Story 2 (Free SRPG) Introduction, Impressions, and Walkthrough

ロンドリア物語2(フリーSRPG)紹介・感想・攻略 game
This post can be read in about 19 minutes.

I played and completed "Londria Story 2," a simulation RPG made with SRPG Studio.
Just like the previous game, the combat balance is excellent, and I played through it straight to the end.
I'll focus on writing about the changes from the previous game and strategies for playing it.

Londria Story (Free SRPG) Introduction, Impressions, and Walkthrough

Game introduction and review

Like its predecessor, this is an orthodox SRPG with a lighthearted tone in the dialogue and other elements.
There are many parodies of "Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem," so you'll enjoy it more if you've played the previous game.

If you're looking for a compelling story, I recommend playing "Greymerca".
Recommended Free Game "Graymerca" (Simulation RPG)

There are a total of 30 stages, with two branching paths along the way.
The characters who join your party will vary depending on which route you choose.

Also, since there are many characters, it will be difficult to fully develop all of them in a single playthrough.
Therefore, there's the enjoyment of playing through the game multiple times, and it also has a difficulty adjustment function.

If you don't want to have to choose which character to raise, I recommend playing "Heartium".
This game doesn't require limiting the starting lineup; it utilizes every single player.

Main changes from the previous game

There are also some changes from the previous version.
Here's a summary of the main changes.

The difficulty level can be changed during the game.

In the previous game, you could only select your preference at the start of the game, but in this game, you can change it before the stage begins.
In addition to EASY and NORMAL modes, it also features a casual mode where characters are not permanently lost even if they are defeated.

There is only one type of class change.

In the previous game, you could choose from two types of advanced classes when changing classes.
However, in this game, there is only one type of each unit.
Furthermore, the weapons that knight-type units can wield are now subdivided into swords, spears, and axes, which enhances the individuality of each unit.

Introduction of supportive conversations

In this game, deploying specific combinations of characters on the same stage will create support relationships and strengthen them.
Because there are various character combinations, you can enjoy many interactions between the characters.

Game walkthrough (hard mode)

Basic patterns

As in the previous game, a defensive strategy is effective.
However, in this game, the enemies' attack patterns are more diverse, making it difficult to defeat them using a single strategy.
These include enemies that switch to a waiting state after getting close enough, and enemies that suddenly charge after entering a certain area.

If you advance slowly and steadily, you should be able to clear most stages easily.
However, the situation is often such that there is no time to relax, as thieves are targeting the village, someone is on the run with the treasure, or you are being ambushed from both sides.

Giving up on obtaining rare items often drastically reduces the difficulty.
If your goal is simply to complete the game, it's important to be prepared to forgo certain items.

About unit development

Compared to the previous game, there are fewer ace units that are overwhelmingly strong.
Therefore, tactics that rely on individual strength are difficult to employ, and it is important to fight as a group, adhering to the fundamentals.

Additionally, since various powerful weapons such as swords, spears, and axes are available, it's a good idea to train at least one unit that specializes in using one of those types of weapons.

Regarding weapons and money management

I think the situation regarding funding will continue to be one of scarcity.
It's also important to make use of repair shops as much as possible and to refrain from using expensive weapons.
Store all weapons from units you won't be deploying in your inventory and make good use of them.

In the previous game, you could exchange bonus points for powerful Brave-type (double-attack) weapons, but in this game, their acquisition is limited.
Let's repair and carefully use our valuable weapons instead of destroying them.

Stage walkthrough

I'll write about things that caught my attention while I was playing through the game.
This is intended as a strategy guide, so I hope it will be helpful as a reference for your gameplay.

Chapter 1: "The Beginning"

Since there are enemies coming towards you from the start, be careful not to get surrounded and fight in areas with favorable terrain.

Chapter 2 “Demon”

By using the walls to your advantage and avoiding being surrounded, you can fight safely.
It's not a particularly difficult stage.

Chapter 3: "A Dangerous Port"

This map is quite difficult for an early-game map.
There are many enemies coming at you from the start, and after a while, reinforcements for the isolated Volks and Cod appear on the island to the right.
Irene will join your party in the village on the left, but you can visit it last on the map.

First, we'll advance towards the bridge on the right, aiming to rendezvous with Volks and Cod, while also trying to defeat Chase.
Since Rear is good at dealing damage, focus on whittling down undamaged enemies from a distance.
Let's advance with Vaike and Nanna, who are well-suited to axes, as our main units.
There's a character named Chase who's running off with the treasure, so you need to advance quickly, which makes things difficult.

At the shop, be sure to purchase a unique Light Axe and Slender Spear.
Furthermore, stocking up on items like Leah's Firestorm, Healing Staff, and Cure Leaf will make things easier.

Chapter 4 “Great Plains”

Rondo and Irvine are surprisingly manageable, so let's advance slowly with characters that have high defense, such as Pollux.
Kirschvalier is very useful, so giving it to characters like Flam will make battles easier.

On turn 12, two mounted units will appear from the top of the screen.
Build walls effectively in narrow passageways to prevent being surrounded.

Getting your damaged weapons repaired at a repair shop will save you money.
Additionally, you can gain experience points by attacking the hawks defending your base from an adjacent position.
For this stage, Rondo, with his infinitely durable Lorition, would be the perfect choice.

I've earned enough points to reach around level 12, so Rondo has become quite strong and reliable.

Chapter 5: "The Dark King"

If you can give up on obtaining the skill cards held by the fleeing thief, the game becomes much easier.
If you're going to chase them, it's important to send your mounted units and rear units, which have advantageous weapons in the rock-paper-scissors system, ahead as much as possible.

Reinforcements will appear from both the front and back, but keep moving forward and intercept them around the passage beneath the throne.
Soldiers with Kirschvalier won't move unless you enter their attack range, so if you're chasing a thief, use mounted units to quickly pass by them.

Chapter 6: "The Magic of Enchantment"

The difficulty level suddenly increases when you try to meet the condition of completing the task within 12 turns.
It's important to deploy characters who can use swords and to attack aggressively.
To defeat three Dragon Knights in the same turn, prepare Rain, Hawk, and Ria with Windcutter.

If enemies are positioned in front of the poison trap, you should take them down by attacking them from the inside with a longbow or from the outside with a rear-guard.
Since these enemies don't move, if you can defeat one, you can take them all down from there.

The shop sells many useful weapons, such as the Longbow, Windcutter, and Javelin.
You should stock up on longbows in particular.

There's a secret shop on the grassy path in the upper right corner of the map.
The items for sale are: Miracle Water, which restores HP naturally for several turns; Cure Paste, which restores 30 HP; and a Staff of Purification, which cures status ailments.
At this point, I don't think there's anything in particular you need.

Mirna is imprisoned, so if someone talks to her, she will join your party.
This mounted unit is very useful because it can use a staff.

Chapter 7 “Cave”

Since visibility is poor on this reconnaissance map, let's proceed cautiously.
The treasure chest on the left contains Gigafire, but there are several enemies there, so be careful when retrieving it.

The enemy mage Osvin can be recruited by talking to him and paying him money.
You can haggle the price down to 5000G, so try to get it down that far.
If you refuse, be careful, as they will attack you along with enemy reinforcements, Merge.

Clearing the stage on odd turns will take you to "Demon Invasion," while clearing it on even turns will take you to "Coal Mine."

Added in April 2025 (information provided anonymously):
In Chapter 7, "The Cave," if you hire Osvin, you can haggle the price down to 5000G.
The game's mechanics dictate that Osvin's initial stats decrease with each time you haggle over the price.
Every time you haggle over any stat other than strength and luck, it decreases by 1.
Hiring for 10,000G = HP 22, Strength 5, Magic 6, Skill 7, Speed 11, Luck 1, Defense 6, Magic Defense 7
Hiring for 5000G = HP 20 Strength 5 Magic 3 Skill 4 Speed 8 Luck 1 Defense 3 Magic Defense 4

Therefore, if you want to use them as part of your fighting force, it's better to hire them for 10,000G.
While their defensive abilities will improve, their luck is extremely low, so be careful of critical hits.
If you haggle the price down to 5000G, your stats will become useless in battle, so in the worst-case scenario, you might as well just defeat them.

That's what they said.

Chapter 8A "The Coal Mine"

Karald will join your party at the start of the stage.
Also, if you visit the village south of the starting location, Sam will join your party.
Be careful when visiting, as you will be surrounded by bandits immediately after arriving.
Now, let's advance slowly, keeping an eye on the range of the shooters' attacks.

Be careful of the rapier-wielding thieves who arrive as reinforcements.

Chapter 8B "Demon Invasion"

Berg will join your party at the start of the stage.
It's convenient to use it to block the bridge to the south and act as a wall.

It would be more efficient to divide the troops into two groups: one to go west to help the villages, and the other to go south to join forces with Berg.
Azoth joined my party after I spoke to him in Berg.
You might be able to make friends with anyone you talk to.

You can get a magic card in the village on the left.
Bandits who are destroying villages are moving north, so be careful not to let your village get destroyed.
For shooters, letting them run out of ammo is the safest option and therefore recommended.
The bosses stationed at bases are perfect for gaining experience points.

Chapter 9A "Siege of the Castle"

Anyone who talks to the imprisoned Keira will join your party.
You don't have to force yourself to send Fiora into battle.

Lorition is an effective weapon against demons, so if Rondo is leveled up, battles will be much easier.

Reinforcements will likely appear from the downward-facing staircase at the top of the map as turns progress.
However, it seems that enemies will appear from the two upward-facing staircases on the turn following the entry into a certain area.
In my case, on the turn after I entered the throne room, three enemies appeared both inside and outside the room.
While you can deal with the enemies that appear inside the throne room, be careful of the reinforcements that appear from the stairs outside the room.

Chapter 9B "Siege Warfare"

There are more enemies than in A's "castle siege".
However, the enemies blocking the passage are simply blocking it without moving.
Let's slowly chip away at its health with ranged attacks and defeat it.

It's easiest to advance counter-clockwise, taking the route that helps Kira.
Keira will join your party no matter who you talk to.

Be careful, as the boss will move and attack if you enter its attack range.
The treasure chest contains 5000G and a Dragoon.

Chapter 10: "The Trial of Fire"

As was the case with the information from the houses on the previous map,If you place units on top of the three bones, the formidable enemy "Skeleton Hero" will appear along with his skeleton companions.
You can obtain the "Stial Shield," which increases your defense at the expense of speed, but it's a tough enemy, so you don't need to force it to appear.
If you decide to fight, place your wall units one square to the left of the enemy's spawn point and use ranged attacks to whittle them down; this will make the fight easier.
Physical attacks aren't very effective, so it's best to whittle down its health with magic, like the magic of Lia and the others.

The Red Dragon itself can be easily defeated with Wind Cutter or a bow.

Chapter 11: "The Land of Sand"

It seems like there isn't much time, but there's surprisingly a lot of map space.
Since infantry are unaffected by sand, I think an infantry-centered army would be easier to advance with than a cavalry-centered army.
The enemy Skeleton Merge's Gigafire is powerful, so be careful not to rush in too quickly.
Rafika is a very useful unit because she can grant extra actions, so be sure to save her.

Chapter 12: "Surprise Attack"

In the village on the left, you can recruit Ashley (a tomboy) who is a dark mage.
By strategically positioning your units to match the enemy's weapons, you can gain an advantage in battle.
The left and right sides will be the most intense battle zones, so position your healers on those sides.
Equipping the units on the left and right with weapons capable of indirect attacks is useful because they can attack from behind the defensive units.

Chapter 13: "The Golden Castle"

Let's split our troops into two groups and advance.
As long as you include a healer in both slots, everything else should be fine.
There's an enemy with Kirschvalier to the left, so cavalry units should be careful.

Opening the treasure chest in the upper right corner will add Shades to your party.

Be careful, as the boss will move if you enter its attack range.

Chapter 14: "The Sand Cave"

Be careful, as golems have high attack and defense.
Since they are heavily armored, special attack weapons such as rapiers and magic attacks are effective.

There's a secret shop in the cave floor surrounded by sand on the left side of the map.
They mainly sell doping items, so buy them if you need them.
I recommend increasing speed, HP, and defense.

The treasure chest contains Luminous Flare and Halberd.

Chapter 15: "Artillery Battle"

Since Kyure is being held captive, if someone talks to her, she will become your ally.
The Dragon Stone, which is the exclusive weapon, is a valuable item, but it makes for a very powerful unit.

I think it's best to place units with high defensive capabilities at the front of the cannons and catapults and wait until they've fired all their rounds.
Let's use the bridge to avoid being surrounded as we advance.

Chapter 16: "The Black Blade"

Since there are no enemies wielding spears, characters with swords or axes can be very effective.

The treasure chest on the isolated island contains a resurrection.
The mid-boss waiting there can be safely defeated by using Silent.
After retrieving the Resurrection item, a Kraken will appear, blocking your way back.
You won't need to use the Rescue Staff, but be prepared to provide support with Long Healing and other abilities.
The boss's weapon, "Neefleet," has considerable attack power.
It's fairly fast, so you'll have a tough time unless you use your ace characters against it.

Chapter 17: "Those Who Resist"

At the beginning, you'll choose who will accompany Prince Rondo, so make your decision carefully.
In the next map, you'll be fighting with a very small number of players, so you'll be stuck unless you select elite members.
Even if a member is healing with a staff, they might not be able to completely eliminate the enemies unless they are a high-ranking character capable of participating in attacks.

The NPC Destion soldiers are quite intelligent; they don't launch reckless attacks and instead use Cure Fruit to withstand attacks.
However, the enemy cavalry besieging the castle will receive reinforcements along the way, so be sure to go and help them as soon as possible.

The hero Agres will join your party if you talk to him with either Ria or Mirna.
In Milna's case, she joins your party unconditionally, while in Ria's case, she joins your party if you correctly answer one of four choices.
If you choose the bottom option, you'll be cursed at with "You bastard!" and they won't become your ally.

If you visit the village and answer "yes" to the question of whether you believe in God, Patrick will join your party.
If you're short on well-trained staff users or mages, a highly capable Archmage will be an immediate asset.
It has surprisingly high defensive capabilities for a magic-based character, making it easy to use.

Berserker Gantol is quite a formidable opponent, so let's defeat him right away with Agres, who has just joined our party.

Chapter 18: "Breaking"

In the early stages, Meteor will quickly join your party.
We could probably win even if we left him alone at the fort, but let's just fight together as a team.
Rather than waiting around, it would be wiser to launch an attack on the northern forces, including the boss.
Be prepared to take some damage, and position your units to reduce the number of enemies as much as possible within a single turn.

In the later stages, be careful of the Eetif, which have a plant-like appearance.
Since it's fixed to attack twice, you might take unexpected damage.
Also, the flying enemies, the demons, are quite troublesome as they have fairly high attack power.
All you can do is fight while being careful not to get surrounded by a large number of enemies.
Defeating Arzel will reward you with the class change item for Rondo, "Proof of Leadership".

Chapter 19: "The Rebel"

This is a defense map.
Clearing the game isn't that difficult.
You might be tempted to split your troops into front and left/right groups, but the safest option is to barricade yourself in the small room with the treasure chest.
Many enemies will come rushing in, but if you create a wall with characters that have high defense, such as Meteor or Kyure, it won't be too scary.

If you want to defeat the boss, I think the best strategy is to charge in head-on.

Chapter 20: "The Branching Point"

Be aware that the next map will differ depending on whether you capture the eastern or western fort.
Since there are quite a few magic-using enemies, characters with low magic defense should proceed with caution.
There's nothing particularly difficult about it.
After clearing the game, you will obtain the "Miracle Stone," an item that allows you to change Leah's class.

Chapter 21A "Destruction" (Western Route)

You can persuade Servan with Spica, or recruit him with Rondo or Ria after reducing his HP.

After several turns, reinforcements of cavalry units will appear from the rear.
Also, the reinforcements from Belganon are formidable opponents, so let's just let them advance steadily.

If you have any well-developed flying units, you should try to take them out with cannons right from the start.
If you don't have any strong flying units, send out units like Meteor or Kyure to force them to use up their cannons.
If you linger too long, Belganon will appear from behind, so you'll want to break through quickly.

The boss, the Swordmaster, is very fast, making it difficult to follow up with attacks. Use a unit with strong magic attacks to act again and whittle down its health.

Chapter 21B "Blizzard" (Eastern Route)

You can persuade Ciel with Rain.
You can also recruit Ciel in Rondo and Leah by reducing her HP.
However, be careful as it will start moving once you enter its attack range.
After persuading Ciel, the Ernsis soldiers will become NPCs.

After defeating Gilly, you'll be given the option to recruit him as a party member. If you select "Yes," he will join your party.

On the fourth turn, Belganon will appear as reinforcements in the rear.
They are quite strong, so if you're not going to fight them head-on, you should advance as soon as possible.

Chapter 22A "The Noble's Town" (Western Route)

Dividing your troops into northern and southern groups and advancing separately will allow you to conquer the area more smoothly.
Since there are enemy units approaching from both directions, adjust your advance so that you can intercept them at a favorable position.
Reinforcements keep coming, so use the narrow paths to hold them off.

In the village in the upper left, Genoa will join your party.
With a relatively high strength of 17, this character can be used as an archer with both offensive power and mobility.

There's a secret shop down the grassy path below the village in the lower right corner.
They mainly sell doping items, so if you have some extra money, you should buy something.

Chapter 22B "The Scorching Path" (Eastern Route)

At the start of the stage, the unit will be split into two.
Enemy flying units are troublesome, so let's include archers in our formation.

Zeracule will join your party on turn 4.
Also, be careful, because if you don't keep moving forward, the lava beds will increase.

Chapter 23: "Royal Knights"

Lavaine cannot be persuaded in this map, but she will join your party after you clear the stage.
Let's just defeat them without worrying about it.

The enemy beast tamer employs a tactic that seems obvious but is actually quite unusual: they bring in heavily armored enemy units.
However, in the end, it's not very useful because of the surrounding city walls.
Place wall units to seal off the narrowing fort.

There's a repair shop, so even though you might not have much money to spare, make sure to repair your most valuable weapons.

Chapter 24: "The Princess Rescue Operation"

Lavaine will join your party at the start of the stage.
Tina's HP decreases by 3 each turn, so you essentially need to rescue her by the 10th turn.
Since we'll have to fight the tough Belganon, we'll want to select the best members for the rescue team.
In my case, I was lucky enough to defeat it in almost one hit with Kyure's special attack.
I think we can manage if we have Meteor, Lavain, Cure, and a healer.

Reinforcements will soon appear from the rear of the main force, trapping it in a pincer attack.
Let's advance quickly and ambush them in the narrow passages.

The boss is equipped with Scintilla, but it's not a threat if you stay close to it.
If you have a unit you want to raise, you can earn money by repeatedly attacking it.

Chapter 25: "Lorition"

The enemy's attack power is generally high, but you should be fine if you advance according to the basic strategy.
Since there are many flying enemies, you should be able to defeat them quickly if you prepare plenty of archers and anti-air weapons.
Metal Slimes drop Healing Flare, so it's best to defeat them if possible.

Chapter 26: "Attack"

You can obtain the Super Warp Wand in the northern village.
In the village with the blue roof in the bottom right, Christie will join your party.

Many enemies appear, but it's not a particularly difficult map.
In the second half, reinforcements of flying units will appear, so you need to be careful about that.

Chapter 27: "The Door to Another World"

This is an intense map where you must protect the six sages from the Four Heavenly Kings attacking from all four directions.
Let's make full use of Long Healing, Healing Flare, and other valuable weapons, and use them without hesitation.
The Asdem on the left has a troublesome evil eye, so get close and defeat it as quickly as possible.

After defeating each boss, you'll then face off against a series of reinforcements.
Although many of them emerge, they don't necessarily head towards the center as their top priority.
If there are any friendly units in the way, the enemy will prioritize attacking those units.

Therefore, even if you can't completely eliminate the enemy, you can still hold them back by sending your own units towards them.

Be careful of the mounted unit "Kirschvalier" that appears from the left.

Chapter 28: "The Decisive Battle"

First, let's split up our troops to capture the left and right bases in order to stop the reinforcements from arriving.
Both sides have formidable opponents, but attacking them one at a time would take too long and we'd be overwhelmed by reinforcements, so let's split our forces into two.
The base itself can be captured using the "Investigate" command by characters other than Ria and Rondo, so it's not always necessary to separate the two characters.

Since there are many enemies with high defense, having plenty of units like Kyure and magic-using units will be very helpful.
There's a repair shop at the end, so let's make sure we get anything we're missing.

Chapter 29: "The God of Destruction"

This map is divided into four units.
Let's join forces as soon as possible and prepare our troops.
You can rely on long-term healing for recovery, and you don't need to force yourself to include healers in every unit.

Ignore the reinforcements and defeat the boss in one go.
The boss itself isn't that strong, so you should be able to defeat it.
However, it's difficult because you'll be subjected to concentrated fire unless you lure some of the enemies in the central room out and defeat them first.

Final Chapter: "The End"

The enemies above won't move unless you enter their range of action, so avoid engaging them.
Some crystals have long-lasting healing abilities, so you need to be careful not to defeat them too quickly, otherwise they will heal during their turn.

After defeating Arzel, he will be resurrected as an embodiment of darkness.
Let's start by taking down the surrounding regeneration units, barrier units, and summoning units in that order.
After defeating the units and weakening them, focus your attacks on special attack weapons such as Miracle Blaze and Lorition.
If you land a special attack, you can deal triple-digit damage and defeat the enemy in one go.

Useful Character Introductions

Finally, let's introduce the characters that will be deployed in the final map.

rear

In this game, she played a crucial role from the very beginning as a valuable magic attacker.
As its speed increases and it becomes able to consistently attack twice, it will become even more effective.
Although he's not very durable, he was quite effective as a skirmisher, positioning himself to avoid being surrounded while whittling down tough enemy units on the front lines.

Vaike

It's significantly weaker than the previous game, so I think many people will give up on it.
However, she also had a supportive relationship with Ria, and her high skill and speed gave her a stable offensive capability.
However, his strength and defensive skills were insufficient, and he never became the ace pitcher.

Rondo

By using Lorition, which has infinite durability, to chip away at bosses in the early stages of the game and level up, it will become a reliable infantry unit.
Because its stats are stable, it can hold its own against any opponent to a reasonable extent.

Nanna

In the early stages, his strength increased better than Vaike's, and he excelled as a high-attacking character.
While its low skill level is a concern, its high evasion and exclusive dagger weapon allow it to be effective in key situations.
I never deployed them in the previous game, but in this game they are useful as a fighting force, so they have roles beyond just lockpicking.

rain

Because he grows rapidly, primarily in strength and defense, he becomes an unshakeable attacker after class change.
Thanks to their skills, they excel at reliably defeating their opponents.
Although it can only perform indirect attacks, it can be used effectively as a defensive wall, making it a very useful character.
Both Porton and Hawk, key members of the team, provide support and are therefore useful.

Porton

In the early stages of the game, there are many situations where you have no choice but to rely on their strong defensive capabilities.
However, his strength and defensive skills improved significantly, and in the second half, he played a crucial role as a reliable shield.
I'm worried about my speed, so I think I'll need doping.
The two attacks made possible by the high power of the Brave Lance are very effective.

Marron

This healer joins your party very early on.
This character has good stat growth in combat-related areas, and after class change, can also excel as a magic-based attacker.
The game also boasts weapons with powerful additional effects, such as the White Lance, which grants a fixed three attacks, and the Radius, which provides +3 to defense.

Ruto

As a mounted unit with well-rounded parameter increases, it served effectively on the front lines for a long time.
It also pairs well with magic swords that utilize high magical power.
Due to his high luck stat, he died in accidents less often than his other stats would suggest, giving the impression of a stable playstyle.

Rafika

The ability to allow allies to act again is very useful.
It can be useful in a variety of situations, such as giving healers another turn, supporting slower characters, or as a backup in case you can't deliver the finishing blow.
Doping your movement speed will make it even more convenient.

Hawk

While not as prominent as in the previous installment, he still played an active role in this one.
The mere fact that it includes archers in a mounted unit makes it worth using.
Its growth rate is only average, but its skill that grants a 100% hit rate against flying enemies is very powerful.
If you're unsure which character to choose, this is one you can't go wrong with.

Mirna

This is a rare mounted unit that can heal.
Due to her mobility, she is better suited to a healing role than Maron.
However, even after class change, their abilities are not suited for combat, so they can't become anything more than a healer.

Curé

This is an extremely powerful ace unit.
While its abilities aren't particularly high when it first appears, it grows incredibly fast, becoming strong in no time.
Since HP is a concern in the early stages, using doping items will give you peace of mind.
The Thunder Dragon Stone is a trump card because it increases your speed enough to attack even powerful enemies twice.
Normally, if you use the Fire Dragon Stone and send it charging into the enemy ranks, it will at least chip away at their health.
You can use your bonus points to buy Fire Dragon Stones without any problems.

Meteor

Thanks to its special skill that prevents follow-up attacks, this unit can be reliably used as a tank until the very end.
However, since his stats outside of defense aren't particularly high, it might be difficult for him to become more than just a defensive wall.
I'm sorry...

Christie

I needed a character with long-term healing abilities, so I only included him in the starting lineup towards the end of the game.
I have no particular comments.

summary

This is a ranking of the most useful characters.

S-Class (Undisputed Regulars): Cure, Ria, Rain, Porton
A-Class (Starting Lineup): Ruto, Hawk, Rafika, Rondo, Maron
B-class (semi-starters): Nanna, Mirna, Meteor, Veik
Class C (Pinch hitter/pinch runner): Christie

Gifts and thank yous
The rewards are in the following order: Capsule → Weapon Experience Book → Unique Item
Each character has their own preferences, and they may refuse to accept gifts (e.g., alcohol for Maron Rain, clothes for Rafika).
When you give alcohol as a gift, the character's portrait changes to show them drunk during the quest's dialogue, but there are also variations such as: the dialogue changes but the portrait remains the same (Ashley), or they accept the gift but hardly drink it, so there is no change (Cure).

Third thank you
Rondo: Mysterious Fruit
Kyure: Ice Dragon Stone
Spica: C-rank light magic (attack halved)
Ashley: A-Rank Dark Magic (Prevents counterattacks when attacking first)
Rafika: Weapon Repair Stone (Fully restores weapon durability up to 3 times)
Ciel: Bravebow
Maron: Dull Staff
Flam, Kira: D-rank spear (100% chance of preemptive strike)
Irene: B-rank spear (indirect attacks are treated as magic)

Regarding the gift thank-you system mentioned above
I did some additional research on my own. When you're at the base, choose interaction from the quests,
If you give gifts up to the required total points, you will receive an item as a thank you.
Since I can't give multiple gifts at once, I'll choose to "conquer" and then "interact" again until I receive a thank you.

In return, you can give them gifts of their choice worth approximately 3000 points in total, and you will receive a weapon experience book.
You can get a unique item by giving a total of approximately 6000 points.
If the gift isn't to your liking, the total points required will exceed 6000.
If the gift is inexpensive, you'll end up having to give the item multiple times before you receive a thank you.
Giving expensive liquor or clothes is a quick way to get the gift-giving done, as it only requires a total of three gifts.

If you only want unique items, you'll need 6000 points, so it's not very cost-effective.
Considering the experience point books as well, you save one spellbook (5000 points), making it cost-effective.
Since it can compensate for the increased experience points for weapon types gained through CC, experience books might be more useful.

Among the unique items listed above, the following are recommended:
Rafika: Weapon Repair Stone (Fully restores weapon durability up to 3 times)
→Dragon Stones and Divine Artifacts can be repaired for free up to three times, so you can use them extensively.

Ashley: A-Rank Dark Magic: Carnage (Prevents counterattacks when attacking first)
→While counterattack nullification is useful in key situations, it's not essential as other dark magic spells are also excellent.

Also, Rain's Quick Bow seems to have a bug, as the triple attack wasn't working.
Rain: Rank C Bow: Quick Bow (3 attacks, no follow-up critical hit)

Other unique items that I found useful were listed below.
Hawk: Rank B Bow: B-02 (No effectiveness against flying enemies, but instead has Attack: 13/Accuracy: 95)
→This will almost guarantee a hit against ground enemies that are immune to Hawk's anti-aircraft defenses.
