This article is about the RPG "Twilight Boundary Line," created with RPG Maker VX Ace.
"A dramatic boss rush epic RPG"It was advertised as such, and that piqued my interest, which is why I decided to play it.
Looking at the description on the download page, it seems to be a game that focuses entirely on boss battles.
The article states that strategy is crucial and that simply leveling up won't be enough to clear the game, which has rekindled my desire to take on a challenge after a long time.
This time, in addition to introducing the game and sharing my impressions, I'll also write about my own strategies for playing it.
The completion time was approximately 28 hours.
Since I've also done resets, I think the actual playtime is a bit longer.

Game Overview
The game flow is as follows: story progression ⇒ dungeon exploration ⇒ several mid-bosses ⇒ final boss ⇒ episode completion.
The story progresses in stages, like episode one, episode two, and so on, which gives it a good sense of structure and flow.
In the early stages, your party members will change with each episode, so it's important to make the most of each character's unique abilities.
story
This is a story of those who are influenced by the "Night" and gain power from it, as the threat of "Night" threatens to destroy the world, and who fight back.
This story has a unique worldview that begins in a desperate situation.
The characters' dialogue is somewhat theatrical, so it might not appeal to everyone.
The conversations are quite long, giving the impression of reading a novel.
To put it positively, it's substantial; to put it negatively, it might be considered convoluted.
However, the story development is also very interesting, and it's definitely not just an RPG that focuses solely on battles.
Character enhancement system
In this game, you don't gain experience points from normal battles; instead, you earn money and items.
Character enhancement involves using items that level up or items that increase stats.
Additionally, the shop allows you to purchase recovery items, level-up items, and passive skills that increase your allies' abilities.
However, there is a limit to the number of recovery items you can carry, so you can't just brute-force your way through by having 99 of them.
If you save up money and buy tons of level-up items, you might be able to brute-force your way through to some extent, butTactics become more important than simply accumulating skill levels.
The equipment also comes with various special abilities.
Skills such as "Attack Power +10%", "Agility -15%", and "Fire Resistance +20%" are attached, and you will need to switch them out depending on the tough enemy you are facing.
If you've found a strategy but still feel you're lacking power, you should reconsider your equipment before trying to level up.
Additionally, your party members may acquire new skills during certain boss battles or as the story progresses.
In the early stages of the game, these skills are often key to acquiring combat skills, so you need to think about how you can utilize them.
As you gradually learn new skills, you get the feeling that your character is getting stronger, and it's easy to feel motivated to continue playing the game to find out what kind of techniques they are.
Boss battle
In the dungeon, there are several mid-bosses and a final boss that appear as fixed enemies.
As for weaker enemies, they are encountered via a symbol encounter system, so you don't need to fight them.
However, if you're having trouble with a boss, you can earn money through regular battles and use it to buy recovery items, level-up items, passive skills, and other items from the shop to strengthen your character.
The bosses are extremely tough, offering a much more challenging experience compared to other RPGs.
It's important to deduce strategies based on the characters' dialogue and the opponent's actions during battle.
Since you can immediately try again even if you are wiped out, it's perfectly normal to treat your first attempt as a reconnaissance mission.
Even so, when you manage to succeed on your first try, you get a great sense of accomplishment.
If it's too difficult, you can adjust the difficulty level to four different levels.
The difficulty level can be changed at key locations, progressing in the order of Heartful ⇒ Casual ⇒ Advanced ⇒ Lunatic.
There are virtually no penalties for making changes, so if you absolutely can't beat the game, it's perfectly acceptable to make changes, even temporarily.
My thoughts (with some spoilers)
I played on the Advanced difficulty setting.
It's been a while since I played such a challenging RPG.
It wasn't just a difficult game that forced me to do repetitive tasks; I enjoyed the trial and error process of figuring out what strategies to employ and what tactics to use against various bosses.
I thought I had experienced many difficult battle patterns in RPGs up until now, but in this game..."So this kind of pattern exists too?"And I made many new discoveries.
In terms of combat, you can enjoy a type of battle that resembles a chess puzzle, similar to the later stages of the classic free game "Seraphic Blue."
The system that allows players to adjust the difficulty level themselves was very thoughtful and appreciated.
The number of level-up items is controlled through scenario progression and boss enemy drops, so the game won't become too easy due to over-leveling.
The act of earning money only becomes necessary when the player themselves desires it.
However, if you still find the grinding process tedious, you can change the difficulty level to make battles easier, so the game's mechanics in that regard are also quite user-friendly.
Save points and shops are often placed in locations that players would find useful.
Furthermore, the game displays warnings at points where you might get stuck, and overall, I was very impressed by how user-friendly it was.
As for the characters, they were all unique and well-developed.
These are probably default assets from RPG Maker, but they give the impression that each character is truly alive.
Even if the same character portraits appear in other works, I immediately recognize them as characters from this game because each one left such a strong impression.
Many of the characters who are antagonistic from the beginning are also fascinating, but the way they cooperate to face formidable enemies in the latter half, while cliché, makes for a very exciting development.
My favorite characters are Tigre and Galand Du as playable members, and if I include other characters as well, Michael and Isla.
Tigre is a powerful attacker and very easy to use, but I also like the backstory that he loses his dominant arm when he joins the party.
In many works, there are characters who are incredibly strong before joining the party, but then become disappointing once they do.
It's believable that Tigre's strength has decreased, given that he lost his dominant arm.
However, given his strength, he gives off a strong impression of being a powerful character, and I thought it was a well-explained description.
I like that Galan has remained a consistent character ever since he first appeared.
The name Galan Dou is not only a play on words meaning "cave," but the "Dou" part, which sounds like someone of unknown identity, also adds a mysterious touch, which is great.
I really liked how Michael and Isla were portrayed as trying to be as strong as possible despite being human.
They were strong during boss battles, and they were also strong when they supported me as a guest member during combat, so I've always had a strong impression of them being powerful.
I've written a lot, but overall, it was a challenging game with both a compelling story and engaging gameplay, and the character portrayals were superb.
I think this is a game that's quite difficult to complete unless you're a player who's strongly focused on defeating the bosses.
However, I felt that this is a game worth trying at least once for players who are confident in their skills.
Walkthrough information (contains spoilers)
From this point onward, the focus will be on strategies for each individual boss.
First, I've written about strategies that I developed through trial and error by trying them out myself.
(Difficulty level is Advanced)
This is a gameplay video from Lunatic mode, but I think it will be very helpful for players attempting to complete the game. (This will take you to the YouTube playlist page.)
Twilight Boundary Playlist (Lunatic)
First, if you get stuck on a boss, try reviewing your equipment.
In that battle, it's important to discard stats that aren't crucial and focus on raising the important ones.
In particular, if a specific member is consistently being defeated and causing the team to fall apart, consider equipping that member with gear that will allow them to survive.
Also, if you absolutely cannot defeat the enemy, defeat weaker enemies to earn money and buy level-up items.
As you level up, your basic abilities will improve, making things gradually easier.
If you have any passive skill books that you haven't purchased yet, buy and use them as well.
Please note that skill books cannot be acquired unless they are used after purchase.
Character-specific usage methods
Chris
As a physical evasion tank, your role is to reduce the damage taken by the party by increasing physical evasion and using taunt.
As you acquire offensive skills, you gain the flexibility to switch between healing and attacking roles by utilizing your agility while dodging.
However, it is vulnerable to guaranteed hit attacks, area-of-effect attacks, and magic attacks, so you will need another tank character when facing enemies of those types.
Nacht
This attacker focuses on status ailments and debuffs, making battles easier by inflicting confusion, sleep, and other debuffs on enemies.
Enemies that appear alongside the boss often revive even after being defeated, so incapacitating them with confusion or sleep is a crucial role.
Since it also has debuffs that lower attack and defense, there are many things it can do during battle.
・Nyarlathotep
This is an attacker type that relies on a high number of attacks.
While its attack power isn't particularly high, it possesses skills that increase its critical hit rate and features that allow it to act twice per turn.
However, its durability is relatively low, and its attack power is weak unless it has buffed itself first, so it's easily defeated; therefore, caution is needed.
It seems that Camus from "Dragon Quest 11" has the highest burst damage output once he learns his most powerful technique.
・Cephyr
This is a fast, versatile character capable of both attacking and healing.
It can fulfill various roles, such as area-of-effect attacks, single-target multi-hit attacks, and healing all allies.
However, its recovery capabilities are inferior to those of specialists, so overconfidence is not advised, but it can still be useful.
Techniques like Aero's Rampage are useful because they have a high chance of stunning the enemy.
In the second half, Squall Cloud has high single-target damage, and there are many useful techniques such as restoring TP for the entire party and granting regeneration effects.
Soleil
This is a magic-using class that can use attacks, spells, and support abilities.
Its single-target and area-of-effect attacks are powerful, and its ability to grant fire resistance to all allies is also very effective.
However, full party healing consumes a lot of TP, and you might find yourself short on TP when you need it most.
Therefore, water-based area attacks that don't consume TP are useful.
This character consumes a lot of MP, so you'll want to keep a close eye on your MP level at all times.
"Soleil-style Five-Fingered Waterfall Bullet" and "Icicle Lancer!" are attacks with extremely high firepower against single targets.
・Galan
This character is a tank/attacker specializing in counter-attacks.
The strategy involves drawing enemy attacks to oneself through taunting, and then aiming for a counterattack with a one-hit kill that deals more damage the lower the enemy's HP is.
Its agility is quite low, and reducing its HP to force it to attack makes it difficult for it to act as a tank, so it takes some skill to make the most of both of its characteristics.
Learning a skill that increases the defense of your entire party makes a huge difference in your sense of security, especially if you use it at the start of a battle.
If your opponent's ultimate attack is a multi-hit physical attack, you can use a counter-attack technique like "Vendetta" to take them down.
Tigre
This character is an attack-focused attacker.
This character is a powerful source of damage, possessing abilities such as "Marduk," which enhances his own strength and agility, and "Keraunos," which has the additional effect of weakening the opponent.
You can fight on equal or better terms against any opponent, but your MP consumption tends to be high, so frequent recovery is necessary.
In the second half of the game, you'll acquire more equipment that reduces MP consumption, making your party a powerful force with no weaknesses.
・ Circe
This character is a versatile magic attack specialist.
It possesses area-of-effect magic attacks of all elements, but it lacks burst damage.
However, "Mirror World Aeon," which reflects all magical attacks, is an extremely useful defensive skill.
Episode 1
- Knight Duke of Almadi
Since the look-alike will revive even if you defeat it, silence it with Nacht's Apocalypse and leave it alone without attacking.
And once the silence is broken, I silence them again.
When Nacht is not using Apocalypse, try to attack the Duke with normal attacks as much as possible.
Chris equips his masked Persona and uses "Like a Rabbit" to try and take on as many attacks as possible himself.
When Nacht's HP starts to decrease, have Chris use an item to quickly restore it.
While Chris's evasion buff is active, having him participate in the Duke's attacks will allow you to defeat him more quickly.
- Sword Princess Victoria
Use Chris to cast darkness over the offspring of the night, while using Nacht to launch a normal attack on Victoria.
Ignore the offspring as they are immune to damage.
落とし子たちには錯乱が効きますが、できるだけヴィクトリアにダメージを与えた方がいいかもしれません。
Lowering Victoria's attack with Nacht's molten blade will make things a little easier.
Once you inflict a certain amount of damage, Victoria will be the only one left, and the entire party will be fully healed.
Chris should use "Look at me!" while making sure the effect of "Like a rabbit running away" doesn't wear off.
Since Nacht's TP will reach 100, use Soul Blader and continue using normal attacks.
Episode 2
Nightmare Spore-bearer
Your allies' HP won't drop below 1, so you can just attack randomly.
As Nyarl advised, let's try not to use up any recovery items.
.Nightmare Guard
Chris should constantly use "Like a Rabbit" while using "Glare" to heal himself and provide support.
If you run out of MP to use "Like a Fleeing Rabbit," your party will fall apart, so be careful not to let it run out.
Nyarl should use Armor Pierce to lower the opponent's defense, increase her own attack power with Murder Eyes or Midnight Killer, and then attack with Blood Blossom Twin.
This will be a fairly long battle.
.Nightmare Guards x2
With Nacht and Cephiro present, the battle is easier than before.
Use Chris to draw their attacks, then focus your attacks on each one to take them down one by one.
If you use Nacht's Courtesan to confuse the enemy who isn't attacking, it will make things a little easier.
In addition to Nyarlathotep's armor-piercing ability, Nacht's armor-breaking ability can also lower the opponent's defense.
Cephiro can act as a healer, while Keraino's Azure Sword can be a good source of damage by exploiting weaknesses.
- Father of nightmares
Since status ailments are effective against them, try to inflict darkness, attack power reduction, and defense reduction before fighting.
- Mother of Nightmares
The snakes on the left and right will revive even if you defeat them, so you don't need to worry about them too much.
As long as you use Chris to draw the enemy's attacks and dodge them, your HP will generally never drop below 1.
However, be careful, as sometimes the Nightmare Mother will unleash a poisonous gas attack that inflicts normal damage.
Chris's area-of-effect fire attack combo is also effective, so keep dealing damage!
Esmeralda
The nightmare father can be dealt with by plunging him into darkness, just like before.
Since my mother's attacks aren't fatal, let's focus our attacks on Esmeralda.
In the second half, Esmeralda's attacks intensify, so it's easier if you use Chris to draw her attention and put her in a state of darkness.
As usual, the two companions on either side can be neutralized by putting them to sleep with Nacht.
If you don't want to bother, you can equip Chris with a bloodstained ribbon (purchased from the shop) and have him attack.
I think there will be many scenes where characters other than Chris can take damage, so you'll need to be well-prepared with healing items.
Esmeralda's defense isn't that high, but let's lower it even further to inflict damage.
Episode 3
Barbara
Use Chris to draw enemy attacks while reducing the damage taken by inflicting darkness and attack reduction.
Physical attacks can sometimes result in a cross counter, so attack with Chris's Heartful Shot, Nacht's Sword Princess's Consecutive Flashes, or Cephiro's Ceraino's Azure Sword.
Since area-of-effect attacks often damage characters other than Chris, make good use of Iris's Dawn Wind, which heals the entire party in Cephiro.
Since it consumes a lot of TP, you need to be careful to make sure you can use it at any time.
- A demonic shadow dancing in the twilight
If you take your time, the number of enemies will increase rapidly, so instead of defeating them one by one, focus on attacks that deal the most total damage to the enemies.
A strategy of overwhelming the enemy with maximum firepower without considering recovery is effective.
Soleil will maintain her allies' fire resistance so that it doesn't run out, while continuously using area-of-effect attacks as much as possible, and using single-target attack skills when alone.
Chris will die if he attracts too many attacks, so attack with Heart Shots, and when there are three or more enemies, attack with Sadness Barrage.
It's going to be a pretty close fight, but attack with all your might with a do-or-die mentality (you'll definitely need to use fire resistance).
Soleil is easier to deal with if she can cast spells like fire resistance before the enemy, so equipping her with items like the Silent Bell to increase her agility will make things a little easier.
- Devourers
If you can confuse the two accompanying creatures with Nacht, the battle will be a little easier.
When a confused enemy attacks something that is devouring, it becomes poisoned.
I'm not sure if this is the correct way to defeat him, but if you focus your attacks on the boss and manage to land Galan's "I'll return the favor" at the right moment, you can inflict a considerable amount of damage.
- The Dragon Knight of Longing
The physical attacks are quite intense, so it's best to have Chris and Galan act as tanks to ensure stability.
Chris should act as usual, running away like a rabbit, while Galan should stay on the defensive.
When Galan's TP reaches 100, he can use "I'll return the favor" to switch to offense.
Nacht will lower the opponent's defense while attacking and providing healing with items, while Soleil will be the main source of damage with her Soleil-style water gun.
Even if you lower their attack power, it will quickly increase again, so there's no need to force yourself to lower it.
• A group of blood-colored creatures
I thought Nacht's techniques might work, but none of them did, so I fought using conventional methods.
The strategy is to use Chris and Galan as decoys, while Nacht and Soleil handle attack, healing, and support.
I couldn't find any particularly effective winning strategy, so I defeated them by brute force.
Galan's "I'll give you something in return" was quite helpful.
- The Shadow of the Dragon that Announces the Night
The shadows increase with each turn.
The battle ends when you defeat the main body, so focus your attacks on it.
As usual, using Chris and Galan as shields will provide stability.
The Dragon that Announces the Night
Equipping Soleil and other characters with fire-resistant gear beforehand will make things a little easier.
The basic strategy is to maintain the party's fire resistance, confuse the minions on the left and right with Nacht, and concentrate attacks on the main body.
When the enemy breathes fire, try to have everyone defend as much as possible to minimize damage.
You'll probably spend more time healing than attacking, but even with just covering fire from your soldiers, you can still deal 500 damage to all enemies, so a defense-focused approach will work.
In the second half of the battle, your main character will automatically recover, which can be frustrating, but stick to your basic strategy and carefully and steadily inflict damage on the enemy.
It's important to use area-of-effect healing items like Mariabelle's Powder without hesitation.
Episode 4
Night vanguard
If you talk to the troubled senior soldier, you can fight him again and again.
Defeating it will reward you with a Golden Apple, a level-up item.
If you confuse the enemies on the left and right with Nacht, and then draw their attacks with Chris, you can defeat them without too much trouble.
When the vanguard leader's TP is full, he will use a dark-elemental area-of-effect magic attack, so members without resistance should defend.
Tanks at night
Nighttime vanguards appear one after another as each turn passes.
The vanguards are susceptible to status ailments such as darkness, freezing, and stun, so use Chris and Galan to draw their attacks while Soleil and Cephiro use area-of-effect attacks that inflict status ailments to whittle them down.
The attack is not that fierce.
Night Cavalry
As Cefiro advised, stun attacks are effective against this enemy, so let's focus our attacks on stun techniques.
Since it frequently uses area-of-effect physical attacks, it's difficult to draw its attacks to a single character using taunt skills.
Be prepared to take some damage, but use characters with area-of-effect healing abilities to heal and continue fighting.
- The Night Warrior, the Night Demon General
It was a very close fight.
It's easier to defeat the Demon General first, but after defeating him, the Warrior General becomes stronger and immune to status effects.
In my case, I devised a strategy to defeat the main general first, while also reducing the strength of both sides.
As a result, I defeated them all at once, so I haven't investigated what would happen if I had left the Demon General alive.

The party consists of Chris, Nacht, Cephiro, and Soleil.
First, I will write about the status ailments that affect enemies.
General: Confusion and sleep are very effective, while darkness and stun are sometimes effective.
Demon General: Silence works well, while darkness, stun, and freeze sometimes work.
In terms of specific tactics, Nacht will keep the demon general in a state of silence.
Even without using magic, the Demon General employs some pretty intense physical attacks.
However, if you keep all the enemies in darkness with Chris, you can dodge them to a certain extent.
If you have the opportunity, using physical evasion buffs on Chris and Cefiro will increase their survival rate (Chris doesn't need to use taunt).
Cefiro, if he has enough TP, will try to stun the enemy with Aero's Rampage, or heal his allies with Ocupete's Breath, and when things get dangerous, he will use Iris's Dawn Wind.
Soleil's move is "Do you dislike the cold?", aiming to freeze the enemy, and she uses Traumerei to heal when things get dangerous.
If you successfully stun or freeze the enemy, you'll have a little extra time, so use that opportunity to recover your MP or do other things.
The warrior will perform attacks that always hit their target according to a set pattern, so you should be prepared to take some damage.
While powerful area-of-effect attacks can be somewhat avoided with the darkness effect, if you do get defeated, revive yourself immediately with an item.
Since Chris and Nacht sometimes take on the role of healers, you should buy as many Dawn Stones and Mariabelle's Powdered Medicines as you can to revive fallen characters.
If Nacht has a free moment, he can use the Flashing Sky Wave Slash, which can occasionally stun the enemy.
Anyway, I won using this method.
The key is to "unify the enemy's attacks to physical attacks and then inflict the blind status to reduce the damage."
Freezing and stunning are merely bonuses that, if successful, create a sense of ease.
Night Commander
I was in despair, wondering how I was supposed to defeat it.
However, we kept trying to find a way to win, even after being wiped out several times.
My initial team consisted of Chris, Nacht, Cephiro, and Soleil, but in the second half of the battle, I didn't have the resources to revive Nacht and Soleil, so I replaced them with Galan and Nyarlathotep.
Basically, you'll be using area-of-effect attacks to damage both the general and his minions.
If you can defeat the minions early, the number of enemy actions will be reduced until new reinforcements arrive.
Chris uses a full-party darkening ability to reduce the damage he takes from the enemy.
Also, to ensure Soleil has enough TP left to use area-of-effect healing, try to use "Water Play is Great!" as an attack method, as it doesn't consume much TP.
The key element is the Cefiro's "Aero's rampage."
Since all enemies are susceptible to stun abilities, use them when your party is in trouble to gain time to recover.
When there are few enemies, the amount of TP recovered is small and you cannot use it repeatedly, but in the later stages of the battle, when there are four or more enemies, it is possible to stun them repeatedly to stop them in their tracks.
Nacht focused on damaging the entire group with "Night-Glowing Twin Moon Flash," and then silenced the Night Demon General once he appeared.
In the second half, after Soleil and Nacht were defeated, we managed to withstand attacks by using Galan's defense and Nyarlathotep's misdirection.
Ultimately, with Galan's HP down to 1, I used his "I'll give you a reward" ability to deal about 6000 damage, reducing the general's HP to almost zero.

Galan is slow to act, and it's rare for him to get his turn while still having 1 HP, but thanks to Cephiro's "Aero's Rampage" stunning all the enemies, we were able to activate it with maximum effect.
I couldn't find any surefire winning strategy, so I think we'll have to make the most of healing items and fight steadily.
Episode 5
Isla
The soldiers on the left and right will reappear even if you defeat them, so just ignore them.
Chris's area-of-effect darkness is fairly effective on everyone, including Isla, so we'll try to minimize the damage we take from the enemy.
At the start of the turn following the preparatory action for "Remember Death," Isla will use "Blade of the End" to incapacitate all three of your characters.
Therefore, each of the four will use the Dawn Stone on a different character, ensuring that two of them survive.
On the turn after Blade of the End, Isla's defense will drop significantly, so replace the two incapacitated characters with the two healthy reserves, and have all four characters concentrate multi-hit attacks on Isla.
It can significantly reduce their HP.
Then, before the next big attack, revive the incapacitated members one by one and prepare to attack again in the same way.
You can defeat it by repeating this process about three times.

- Pursuit team leader Migrant
They are usually the most troublesome because they can act multiple times before any of your allies.
If you can somehow make it dark with Chris, the fight will be much easier.
Since the Migrant attacks frequently, deploying Galan will increase your chances of counterattacking.
For healing allies, primarily use Soleil's Traumerei, which has a speed bonus upon activation.
They're not that tough, so let's attack them steadily.
Lynx
If you can just put Lynx in darkness, the battle becomes much easier.
Its weakness is clearly defined as water, so you can inflict massive damage with Soleil's "Soleil-style Five-Fingered Waterfall Bullet."
The enemy will try to cover you in oil and unleash a powerful area-of-effect attack, but it won't hit you very often if you're in darkness.
Let's push through and win it in one go.
- Interceptor Raven
While you can cast darkness on your allies, Raven's attacks are quite difficult to defend against.
It looks like the only way to deal with it is to gradually whittle it down while distributing the damage with Galan's overall defense buff and Chris's evasion buff + taunt.
This will be quite a war of attrition, so it's a good idea to fully replenish your healing items.
Stun seems to work well on this enemy, so let's aim to stun them with Cefiro's "Aero's Rampage" while attacking with Soleil's "Soleil-Style Five-Fingered Waterfall Bullet."
Michael
Although he uses many attacks, the power of each individual attack isn't that great, which made the fight relatively easy.
With Chris's evasion buff and taunt, and Galan's overall defense buff, solidify your defenses while focusing your attacks on Michael.
Chris acquires a new skill during the battle, but as long as you keep it ready to use at all times, the opponent isn't that scary.
Because there are many moves, Galan has many opportunities to counterattack.
For reference, all of my allies were level 30.
Episode 6
・Millialde
It's been a while since we've had a battle where the minions don't reappear after being defeated.
They're not that strong, so let's take them down easily.
Aramis
There are many of them, but you can mitigate their attacks by putting them to sleep with Nacht or using Chris to inflict darkness.
Its attack power isn't very high, so you should be able to defeat it without thinking too deeply about it.
Even if you defeat the minions, they will all revive at regular intervals, so focus your attacks on Aramis.
Using area-of-effect attacks makes it easier to accumulate TP.
You can buy them from inn guests, so it's easier if you buy them all if possible.
Executioner Albedo
The attacks are numerous, but their power is not high.
You don't even need to provoke them with Chris; you can defeat them in one go with high-powered attacks.
- Commander Rubedo
Like Albedo, she wasn't that strong.
After defeating him, you can find the key to the dungeon by searching the chest of drawers in Rubedo's room.
- Prison Guard Captain Nigredo
When it's invisible, you can't hit it with attacks, so use healing or support magic instead.
You can defeat it without much difficulty.
Satsuki
The battle ends when the 7th turn is over.
Let's try to hold out until then by defending ourselves.
On turn 7, Satsuki will unleash her ultimate attack, so make sure you have Chris ready to use "Like a Lion's Roar" before then.
Even with ordinary defenses, it's sometimes possible to withstand the attack.
Satsuki (2nd time)
First, as preparation before the battle, equip Tigre with the "Warrior's Helmet" and "Aramis's Bracelet" to increase his attack power, counterattack rate, and defense as much as possible.
The reason is to be able to counter Satsuki's intense multi-hit attacks as much as possible.
Also, if you equip Chris with items that make it easier to accumulate TP, you can reduce the chances of not being able to use "Like a Lion's Roar" when you need it most.
Satsuki's behavioral patterns are roughly as follows:
A (First turn at the start of battle): Set TP to 100
B (Turn 2 & 3): Area-of-effect attack
C (Turns 4, 5, and 6): Multi-hit attack
D (Turn 7): Multi-hit attack on all targets
The sequence is A⇒B⇒C⇒D⇒B⇒C⇒D⇒B..., starting with A only the first time, and then repeating BCD afterwards.
Since B has no effective evasion pattern, we will have the party defend.
Since C is a single-target attacker, we'll use Chris's "Rush Like a Rabbit" and "Taunt" to draw its attacks.
The other members will perform actions such as weakening Satsuki's attack power and healing her.
D will not take damage if Chris uses "Like a Lion's Roar," so use that opportunity to attack or heal.
If Chris is unable to use "Like a Lion's Roar" due to a calculation error, everyone should defend.
If the "Like a Rabbit" ability is effective, Chris will be able to dodge, and if there are no critical hits, Nacht and Tigre should survive.
For damage output, Tigre's counter-attack "Narukami" is usually sufficient, and use "Blitzjagd" when you have the opportunity.
Many of Satsuki's attacks hit multiple times, so there is a chance of a counterattack after each hit.
Since there's a chance of a counterattack even if you take damage or dodge, you can steadily inflict damage.

Once Satsuki's HP drops to a certain point, Kisaragi's attacks intensify, and her defenses decrease significantly as a result.
If that happens, we'll focus our attacks on Kisaragi and defeat her in one go.
Defeating Kisaragi will make Satsuki stronger, but the pattern itself won't change.
We're almost there, so let's just hang in there.

[Free Game] Twilight Boundary Part 40 [Lunatic]
As mentioned on the video introduction page, their behavioral patterns are as follows:
A: Lightning and fire attacks ⇒ Tigre's Alven, be careful of paralysis.
B: Direct violence (attack with a sword) ⇒ Roar like a lion, or everyone defend.
C: Wind/Earth attack ⇒ Ocypete's feathered robe of Cephiro
D: Cultural methods of killing ⇒ All defend + Iris's Dawn Wind (removes debuffs)
E: Water/Ice attacks ⇒ Soleil's "Listen to what I say!", be careful of freezing.
F: Destructive impulse ⇒ Galan's Vendetta Nero (+ Misdirection)
キルケはAからFの行動を繰り返していきます。
When the eyes attack during B, D, F, it will take 2-3 turns.
The strategy is to withstand the enemy's elemental attacks with corresponding techniques while dealing damage with Tigre and Galan.
One thing to be careful about is when a character who is planning to use a defensive technique is unable to use it due to being incapacitated, suffering from a status ailment, or lacking TP/MP.
While it's possible to weather the storm with a full-team defense strategy, this may not be sufficient against B and F, so it's essential to always be prepared and anticipate future attacks.
For example, if Chris gets paralyzed during attack pattern A, you won't be able to use "Like a Lion's Roar" in B, so make sure Chris has "Evil Eye of the Demon Mother," which gives him paralysis resistance.
For similar reasons, if Galan is preparing for E, make sure he's equipped with items that increase ice resistance, such as "Memories of the Shore."
Tigre uses Marduk to recover TP and increase attack and agility, then uses Keraunos to weaken Circe with lightning and lower her defense, and then repeatedly uses Twelno for a while to deal damage.
Since this character consumes a lot of MP, have another character frequently restore their MP.
During the F phase, using Galan's Vendetta Nero will allow you to inflict significant damage on Circe with a counterattack.
Since your defense is greatly increased while using Vendetta Nero, you don't need to worry about being defeated.
If possible, it's best to lower Galan's HP before the previous turn and use Nyarl's Misdirection in conjunction to ensure success.
If you don't have the opportunity to use Misdirection, you can concentrate all attacks on Galan by having all other party members incapacitated.
In short, it's important to take your time and play carefully, like solving a chess problem.
Use any characters who are free to recover MP and TP, and have them act proactively, anticipating future actions.

It took quite a while to defeat them.
I defeated it around pattern C in the third week.
Episode 7
- Disappointed jester, knight, monk, serf, merchant
Ideally, we should focus on targeting priests who have skills to heal the entire party.
Since all of them are attacking fiercely, let's use Nacht to confuse all the enemies, or Chris to cast darkness, and reduce their numbers.
When five enemies are present and one of your units is incapacitated, it can be difficult to recover, so try replacing the incapacitated unit with a reserve unit while continuing the battle.
The Mad Hatter
After arranging their TP, they will cause all allies to become confused.
In that case, include Nacht, who is immune to confusion, in the party, and fill the rest of the party with members who have countermeasures against confusion.
Garan can be dealt with using "Almatura," and Soleil can be dealt with by using "Don't forget to gargle and wash your hands!"
However, Soleil has strict activation conditions, so it might be easier not to rely on it.
If you use Cephiro's "Iris's Dawn Wind" to remove any weakened status effects, and fight carefully while paying attention to the turns when the enemy becomes confused, they're not that difficult of an opponent.
・The laughing night cat, the irreversible egg
The battle ends when you defeat one of them.
The egg's weakness changes as turns pass, but it's clearly visible.
I think eggs with clearly defined weaknesses are better because they are easier to inflict significant damage on.
It's easier to deal with them if you use Galan, Soleil, Tigre, and Cephiro, each with their own elemental attacks.
Since the attacking role is limited to just one person, it allows for a certain degree of control over the battle.
・The Clockwork Rabbit of the Apocalypse, the March Hare
Darkness and sleep are very effective against the March Hare, and using Tigre's Vajra will inflict significant damage while also paralyzing it.
Rabbits are much easier to deal with if you keep them asleep at all times using Nacht's technique.
When the clock of the Apocalypse reaches zero, the Clock Rabbit will unleash "Darkness that Brings Ruin" at the end of the turn, dealing massive damage to all allies.
However, if you manage to paralyze it even once before that, the countdown won't stop, but even when it reaches zero, it won't attack and will return to its initial action.
Therefore, if you can keep having Tigre use Vajra, you can defeat him very easily.
Vajranda consumes 100 TP and has strict conditions, but try to use it in conjunction with Marduk or Cephiro's Ocypete's Breath so that you can activate it again before the next countdown.
The Clockwork Rabbit of the Apocalypse may cast a sleep-inducing spell on the entire party during the countdown, so be careful of that.
The Dragon of Song
Since their magical attacks are troublesome, it's easier to simply silence them with Nacht.
If you can draw the enemy's physical attacks with Chris and then weaken their attack power with Nacht, you'll be in a very secure position.
However, after the silence that allows you to recover TP, a powerful multi-hit area attack will come on the next turn, so use Chris's "Lion's Roar" to weather the storm.
After the dragon got serious, it stopped using this powerful technique after its preparatory movements.
After creating a weakness to lightning with Tigre's Keraunos, use powerful single-target attacks such as Cephiro's Squall Cloud and Soleil's Icicle Lanzer to whittle down its health.
Margarete
Since I couldn't defeat it easily, I leveled up quite a bit (to around level 50).
The members are Chris, Tigre, Soleil, and Cefiro.
The key is to defeat Margarete's minions and force them to repair themselves on the turn she uses her powerful attack, thereby stalling her out.
If you're going to defeat her, the Disappointed Young Lady is easier to defeat because her weaknesses are easier to exploit.
The basic strategy is for Chris to take on physical attacks with his taunts and quick reflexes, while Tigre continuously damages Margarete with Marduk, then Keraunos, and finally Trueno.
Cephiro will prepare to use Iris's Dawn Wind at any time, as it will remove debuffs and restore HP.
Soleil should use Water Play followed by an ice-based area attack to freeze the companions while simultaneously reducing the young lady's HP.
At this point, be careful not to over-damage them, so as not to accidentally defeat them with an unexpected counter-attack.
If the message "As the night deepens, Margarete's magic power grows stronger..." appears at the end of the turn, she will use a powerful attack in the next turn.
Let's make sure we can finish off the accompanying young lady in the next turn.
Once you deliver the finishing blow, Margarete will immediately repair it, giving you more time before you can use your ultimate technique.
After inflicting a certain amount of damage on Margarete, she will start fighting seriously.
In this case, the approach is basically the same, but the frequency of using powerful techniques increases.
There's a chance you won't have time to defeat the minions, so concentrate your attacks and try to take them down in one go.
If you're about to take a powerful attack, try switching in a reserve member you don't want to be incapacitated to weather the storm.
If you equip Galan with dark-resistant gear and use it for defense, he should at least survive.
Episode 8
Before heading to your destination, you can get a hand-knitted scarf at a hideout in the slums, and receive recipes and accessories from Mariabelle at the large farm.
Once you obtain the recipe, Chris can use "Anywhere Alchemy" during battle to create Mariabelle's powdered medicine.
・Super Alloy Arethusa-kun
攻撃一つ一つは強力ですが、強力な攻撃の間には予備動作やクールダウンがあるため、速攻で強力な攻撃を叩きこんでやれば、それほど苦労せずに倒せます。
After activation, if you receive an attack that significantly reduces your defense, etc., it's important to postpone reviving incapacitated members and instead concentrate all your reserve members' attacks.
- A watchdog that keeps watch over chaos, a beloved dog that howls at nightmares, a hunting dog that comes from the horns
Only the enemy in the middle is immune to lightning attacks.
Use Tigre, who has high attack power, to take down enemies from all sides except the one in the middle.
Each time an enemy on the left or right is defeated, the enemy in the middle also gets stronger.
However, if you have taken precautions against physical attacks, you shouldn't have too much trouble.
Ocypete, Celaeno, Iris, Aero
Focus your attacks on them one by one and take them down.
Prioritize defeating Iris, who uses area-of-effect healing.
Each time you defeat an enemy, the remaining enemies become stronger, so it's easiest to leave Ocupete, who only uses support skills, for last.
- The Blue Diva
At the end of each turn, all members take a small amount of damage.
Soleil's attacks are not very effective, so focus on providing support.
It's easier if you increase everyone's ice resistance, or use HP regeneration and freeze removal to mitigate the damage.
Equip your combat members with ice-elemental and ice-resistant gear whenever possible.
Freezing is particularly troublesome because it cannot be cured with items, so prioritize incapacitating party members who would be in serious trouble.
If you take the right precautions, they're not that scary of an opponent.
- Hollow War Demon
While the enemy is in a defensive stance, prepare for healing and support, and once they switch to an offensive stance, use Galan's "Vendetta Alba".
At that time, attacking with Tigre's Keraunos, Cephiro's Squall Cloud, or Soleil's Icicle Lancer will allow you to deal damage efficiently.
It's important to prepare so that you can accumulate Galan's TP up to 100 while the enemy is defending.
Karma
Since its HP fully recovers every turn, you need to defeat it in one turn.
After using a powerful attack around the fourth turn, its defense weakens on the fifth turn, so make sure to raise Nyarl's TP before then.
Once you're ready, it's a good idea to keep a backup copy for safekeeping.
Then, if you use "Creeping Twin Blades" on the fifth turn, you can defeat them in one go.

Victoria
The attacks are intense, but since they are all physical attacks, countermeasures are relatively easy.
It will use an unavoidable powerful attack once every four turns, so you will need to withstand it with something like Galan's absolute defense.
While their attacks already have a high hit count, you can still chip away at their health without actively attacking them if you use counter-attacks effectively.
Liliane
If you don't take measures to address sleep and confusion, it will be extremely difficult.
面倒なら血塗れのリボンを人数分用意しても良いでしょう。
However, because the curse status effect often limits the healing options for the entire party, managing remaining HP becomes crucial.
Since becoming Yumeori's Pilotes, the status ailments have become even more severe.
However, its ultimate attack is two area-of-effect sleep spells, so if you have countermeasures in place, that turn will be an opportunity to recover.
The Light of Judgment is a two-hit area-of-effect attack, so try to withstand it with defenses or other means.
They also use powerful physical attacks, making it difficult to limit your attack options and thus quite a formidable opponent.
Only after implementing countermeasures against status ailments can you even begin to compete.
Episode 9
From here on, although you can save along the way, you'll face a series of battles.
If you don't make sure to purchase items properly at the end of episode eight, you might get stuck.
Arbiter Kale
The four of you—Chris, Soleil, Cephiro, and Circe—will be fighting together.
- Arbiter Oneiros, Hypnos
Since Hypnos will put everyone to sleep, you'll need to prepare your equipment accordingly.
If you defeat Oneiros first, the remaining Hybnos will be weakened.
Make sure to defeat Oneiros first.
Since there is no healer in the party, we will have to rely on healing items.
Use Galan's skill to increase everyone's defense and Nacht's skill to decrease attack power to minimize the damage your allies take.
It's a little easier because Michael and Isla provide covering fire.
Since it's difficult to replenish items, let's actively defeat weaker enemies to obtain healing items.
Arbiter Moros
Moros is tough and doesn't take much damage, but at the end of the fourth turn, Isla and Michael will break through his shell.
The companions will attack you with status ailments such as paralysis and sleep.
Even if you defeat them, they will revive, so try to prevent them from attacking as much as possible by using freezing, paralysis, or stunning effects.
- Arbiter Oijus
The mid-bosses in this area require similar strategies; the basic approach is to use stun or paralysis to prevent them from attacking as much as possible.
Arbiter Thanatos
They use effects that lower your maximum HP, and their companions use curses to prevent healing.
Keep your companions in a confused state, and have Chris draw Thanatos's physical attacks.
The powerful attack it unleashes preemptively every five turns will take out two or three of your party members, so make sure you can quickly heal the remaining members.
Arbiters Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos
If you don't defeat all three in the same turn, they will revive.
Therefore, reduce the enemy's HP to around 10,000 or less, and then defeat them with a powerful area-of-effect attack.
Also, as long as it's within the same turn, it's fine, so even if there are enemies remaining after an area-of-effect attack, you can defeat them with an attack from another character.
Be careful not to reduce their HP too much, as you might accidentally defeat them with an unintended counter-attack.
Equip your main party members with gear that can counter the enemy's dark-element attacks.
During combat, use Kirke's "Pleroma's Order" to grant resistance to darkness.
The enemy has openings before and after using their powerful attacks, so use those turns to recover effectively.
Make sure you have as many Dawn Stone Fragments as you can.

DB Appat
Chris should equip the Kisaragi Kodachi, which neutralizes marionettes, and use the "Like a Rabbit" and "Taunt" abilities.
White Alter Egos are vulnerable to elemental attacks, while Black Alter Egos are vulnerable to physical attacks.
By defeating the Alter Ego, the opposite attack will become effective against the main body.
After defeating the Alter Ego, it will revive after a while, so use that time to damage the main body.
Since it performs a preparatory motion for a powerful attack every five turns, you'll want to apply Soleil's fire and ice resistance buff regardless.
The attribute of the special move changes alternately: fire ⇒ ice ⇒ fire...
When you defeat it, it transforms into its second form.
The downside is that it unleashes fire and ice attacks without distinction, making it difficult to maintain resistance.
However, the absence of an alter ego means that, in a sense, the battles are simpler.
Since it frequently uses status effects that render you immobile, I think it might be a good idea to equip everyone with a Bloodstained Ribbon.
- The evil dragon of the story
Using the item "Dragon Slayer Sword" will allow you to inflict massive damage.
You can designate anyone as the attacker, so go ahead and use your favorite members.
Be careful, as the area-of-effect attacks are quite intense.
Valentin
I had leveled up quite a bit, so I was able to defeat it without too much trouble.
Since the attacks are primarily physical, you can reduce the damage by using Chris's "Rabbit Taunt" and Galan's "Defense Up" abilities.
Since there are many multi-hit attacks and your allies' TP accumulates easily, you should actively use powerful special moves.
The ones I used were my usual Tigre with Keraunos ⇒ Tempest, Cephiro with Squall Cloud, and Soleil with the "Wishing Star" equipped Icicle Lancer.
・Ice Gray
Be careful of the invincibility every 5th and 6th turn, and the powerful attack on the 6th turn.
Chris's "Like a Lion's Roar" will get us through that turn and allow us to build up our resistance.
Even after getting serious, the basic policy remains unchanged.
To buy everything, it would cost 30,000 yen per person, so I'd like to save up 240,000 yen.
・ Eye
Since most of their attacks are magic-based, you can completely shut them down using Chris, Circe, and Soleil.
Please refer to this video.
[Free Game] Twilight Boundary Part 69 [Lunatic]
(This will take you to YouTube)
Depending on the opponent's turn-based pattern, I use Chris's "Like a Lion's Roar/Hero for Whom," Circe's "Mirror World Aeon," and Soleil's "Don't forget to gargle and wash your hands!" accordingly.
Since TP recovery is crucial, equipping items like Mystic Feather will make battles much easier.
Timing your attacks can be tricky, but try to find opportunities to strike when they're not going to hit you.
Nox
The lack of troublesome status ailments made the game simpler and easier to fight.
Similar to Ai, if you can effectively utilize Chris's Hero for Whom and Kirke's Aeon of the Mirror World, you can minimize the damage.
When the Death Sentence is inflicted on all allies on turn 8, you'll want to cleverly revive them by swapping out members in between.
I think the Dawn Stones will be used up pretty quickly, but since the game ends after 25 turns anyway, we can't afford to fight a long battle.
Let's fight after we've strengthened ourselves sufficiently.
