Does the Strongest Demon Lord Dream of World Peace? (Free Game) - Introduction and Review

最強魔王は世界平和の夢を見るのか(フリーゲーム)紹介と感想 game
This post can be read in about 3 minutes.

This is a game made with RPG Maker, bearing a title that is a parody of the famous science fiction novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?".
That said, the story is an isekai (another world reincarnation) type of story, and it can be completed in about two hours.
This time, I'd like to write an article introducing this game.

Does the strongest demon lord dream of world peace?

Game Introduction

This game's plot revolves around a protagonist who is reincarnated as the final boss of another world, but instead of destroying the world, he dedicates himself to world peace.
The game is turn-based, and involves increasing your relationship with your generals, invading enemy countries, and improving your national power.
Although it appears at first glance to be a strategy simulation game, it is fundamentally an adventure game.

It's probably impossible to clear the game in one go; it's assumed that you'll continue playing after getting a game over, carrying over your stats and other progress.
The experience of befriending the eccentric subordinates of the Demon Lord and saving them from their fate of being defeated by the hero offers a similar kind of enjoyment to time-loop stories like Steins;Gate.

Since there's no penalty for repeating the laps, you can raise your parameters to your heart's content before clearing the stage.
Therefore, the difficulty level is low.
Furthermore, the game features a user-friendly design that provides clear explanations for the branching endings.
It might be best to play this game thinking of it as a light novel with branching storylines.

Review (contains spoilers)

Regarding the most important aspect, the story's appeal, while it follows a fairly conventional plot, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I liked that it not only achieved the initial objective but also had another twist on the true route.
The intense "Leave this to me, go on ahead" type of development in the true route is a classic but exciting plot twist.
The story becomes even more captivating because it takes place after the characters have deepened their relationships and understood each other's backgrounds.

Since not all the mysteries were solved in the ending, I think there's a possibility that related works will be announced in the future.
Since many fascinating characters appeared, a spin-off might also be interesting.

In any case, Grad is similar in character to Wilhelm from "Dies irae," and Weisea is similar to Schreiber, which brought back nostalgic feelings.
That said, it's not like it's a particularly unusual type of character, so it might just be a coincidence...
I really like Grad after he's built trust with me; he's so cute.

summary

"Does the Strongest Demon Lord Dream of World Peace?" is a strategy simulation-style adventure game that can be completed in about two hours.
If you like isekai (other world reincarnation) stories, I think this is a reliably entertaining work.
If you're interested, it's worth playing, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who isn't interested.
