I played "Roads to the Crown," an SRPG that boasts a compelling and realistic storyline and challenging stages.
The scenario is dense and well-developed; it's a game you'll want to play slowly and deliberately.
While the difficulty level is slightly higher than average, I would recommend this game to players who enjoy SRPGs.
To determine if this game is right for you, you might want to play "Roads to the Crown -ouverture-," the prequel to this game, first.
Roads to the Crown: Side Story (Free SRPG) — Introduction, Impressions, and Walkthrough Notes
Roads to the Crown(This is what is featured in this article)
Game Overview

In terms of content, it's a very orthodox simulation RPG.
The gameplay involves reading a scenario, preparing for battle, and then conquering the map.
However, the defining characteristic of this game lies in the fact that each individual element inherent in an SRPG is extremely dense and well-developed.
The story, characters, and gameplay feel very well-developed, so I would recommend it to people who want to sit down and play for a long time.
The game features many systems that are not commonly seen in other SRPGs, such as the "Request" command for issuing orders to allied forces, and special rules unique to each stage.
The game offers a wide variety of event presentations, plenty of dialogue events, and many elements for dedicated players, making it quite challenging and rewarding.
For reference, my completion time was 45 hours (on normal difficulty).
In Hard mode, follow-up attacks are triggered by attack speed for all characters, and the random number generator remains fixed even after resave and load.
In Normal mode, only units with follow-up attack skills will trigger a follow-up attack if their attack speed is high enough, and the random number generator changes with each load.
You might think that it would be great if all characters could perform follow-up attacks on Hard mode, but the follow-up attacks from fast enemy units are probably quite intense, so I think the difficulty level is still high on Hard mode (this is just my opinion as I haven't played on Hard mode).
(Added in May 2020)There seem to be several other differences between Hard and Normal versions besides those mentioned above.
story

The main character is Rex, the third prince of the Kingdom of Phalium.
The story begins when the country is seized in a coup d'état while the protagonist is on an expedition to a land of grasslands.
This story depicts Rex's journey to reclaim his homeland and become king.
It's not a heroic tale about saving a homeland seized by an evil enemy, but rather a war story about fighting and strategizing in order to confront a formidable foe.

There are longer scenarios interspersed between stages, giving you a real sense that the story is progressing.
The film depicts, as thoroughly as possible, aspects of military operations, such as fundraising and public performances, without omitting anything.
This game is suitable for people who value realism, but the target age group might be a bit older.
While the font and other aspects of the text give it a somewhat formal feel, there are also humorous elements and lighthearted conversations.

There are plenty of event battle scenes, which I personally find exciting and enjoyable.
Since the damage from the event battle at the beginning of the stage remains, a certain "flow" is established at the start of the stage, making it easier to decide on a strategy for how to advance.
Status screen
The status screen consists of three screens and contains a lot of information.

The first image is a basic screen that you often see.
Almost all the necessary information is on this first page.

The second image is a screenshot of the weapon proficiency screen.
In this game, many classes can use multiple types of weapons, so it's important to check which weapons each character can use.
Since it's difficult to use everything evenly, I think you can give each unit its own unique characteristics by somewhat fixing its main weapon.

The third image is a screenshot of the support effects screen.
It details who can receive what kind of support.
Prioritizing the use of units that are frequently deployed and units with support relationships might make the battle a little easier.
base

At key points in the scenario, you'll be taken to a base screen where you can make various preparations.
The "Kingdom's Situation" section provides a general overview of the current war situation, allowing you to assess your own army's position from a broader perspective.
It will help you understand the story better.

"Epic" is a side story map.
There are various levels of importance, from high to low.
Some stages only feature guest characters, but clearing them offers various benefits, so it's best to complete them if possible.
"Supplying supplies" means you can buy items at that base.
You can purchase items from the accompanying shop before the start of each stage, but only the bare minimum of goods will be available.
Since many items can only be purchased at base locations, it's a good idea to save up as much money as possible beforehand.
The "Training Ground" allows you to use Training Points (TP) to purchase mainly doping items and class change items.
Doping can be used up to the "enhancement limit" set for the unit (this is displayed on the first page of the status screen).
In other words, if an item that increases strength by 1 costs 3, using one item will reduce the enhancement limit from 50 to 47.
While you can't create the strongest unit solely through doping, I think it's an effective way to use it when you're using it on units that are difficult to train.
Walkthrough (Normal difficulty)
Regarding unit development
Deciding who to raise is a very difficult question in any SRPG.
In this game, I think it's a good idea to prioritize leveling up the members who are frequently required to participate in battles.
You'll have a tough time if you don't level up characters like Rex, Azalea, Tzeta, Ren, Walter, Ventia, and Vasco.
Many members will naturally develop, but in the early stages, you might need to consciously nurture characters like Ren and Ventia.
Raising Folka and Veil will often make things easier.
Units that are difficult to train can be made much easier to raise by using bonus points in the "Training Ground" and applying inexpensive strength and magic power boosting items to the units you want to train.
These are pretty much the only practical uses for bonus points, so let's make sure to use them actively.
You can view information such as when a unit joins your party and the skills they acquire by going to Extra > Character/Terminology Dictionary on the title screen.
You can also find characters who haven't appeared yet, so if you're interested, please check them out.
Even if you start with a high-level member, they will grow surprisingly well, so it's worth investing in their development.
However, compared to units that have been properly leveled up to level 20 in lower-level classes and then promoted, they inevitably fall short.
This game has a system where, after a certain number of turns, you will no longer gain experience points from special commands.
Therefore, the "infinite farming" method that is possible in other games is difficult to achieve.
Conversely, this means the game is balanced in such a way that you can raise your characters properly without having to do those things.
Of course, it's not a good idea to rely solely on strong characters like Rex, but if you prioritize having lower-ranking units deliver the final blow, they should naturally grow stronger.
The Recommendation of Using Weapons
This game features a wide variety of weapons.
For example, a weapon with a range of 3 that can attack unilaterally from outside the enemy's range is certainly powerful.
Divine magic weapons are inexpensive weapons with a range of 3 that can be purchased early in the game, so members who can use them should actively utilize them.
Bows, including the Steel Bow, and tornado magic are powerful and have a long range, so if you come across them as a bargain in a shop, you should definitely buy them.
Additionally, there are quite a few opportunities to acquire special attack weapons.
Magic comes in a wide variety of forms, such as fire, which is effective against ballistas; lightning, which is effective against heavily armored units; and earth spears, which are effective against mounted units.
Use multiple spells strategically to gain an advantage in battle.
There is a wide variety of physical weapons available, including Horse Killer, Zanbatō, Armor Killer, Armor Crusher, and Tonbokiri.
Chapter 1: Return to the Kingdom
Since it's the first map, the difficulty level isn't too high.
In any SRPG, the first map is a crucial battle that gives you a sense of the game's difficulty level.
Take a good look at how each unit feels to use and what it can do.
Be careful, as too many monsters other than Rex appearing can easily lead to defeat.
After clearing the game, it's helpful to have Tzeta equipped with a Light Divine Art that has a range of 2-3 at your base.
Additionally, equipping each unit with weapons capable of indirect attacks, such as throwing javelins or throwing axes, will make the game easier to play.
After this point, there are no bases of operations until after clearing Chapter 6; only a simple shop is available before each stage begins.
It's a good idea to stock up on some dual-purpose weapons here.
Chapter 2: The Road to the Ancient Capital
As long as you advance while being mindful of the Charge Knight's attack range, there shouldn't be any problems.
Let's use Rex as a decoy while keeping the other units outside the attack range to intercept the enemy.
There is absolutely no need to rush, so it is important to advance little by little.
Let's wait patiently for the reinforcements from the southern hills to approach and lure them in.
Chapter 3: The Liberation of the Village
There are two victory conditions, but capturing the southern fort is considerably easier.
Although the enemy numbers are large, you can minimize casualties by using your allies as a shield and sneaking up behind them.
It is possible to persuade Marcia with Alanis.
Since Marcia doesn't move from her starting position, I think she'll be very easy to persuade.
A "golden axe" is hidden south of the barista, so don't forget to get it.
The golden axe can be sold for 10,000G, making it a valuable source of funds going forward.
If you clear the map without defeating a single "conscript," you will receive a "heal" item after clearing the map.
Chapter 4: Night at the Count's Mansion
This map can be cleared by either escaping outside the map or defeating the boss.
While a fair number of reinforcements will appear, we also want to obtain the "Amulet Doll" (Magic Defense +2, Skill: Exorcism 1) in the upper left of the map, so we should aim to defeat the boss.
The boss Nebroa's magic attacks are powerful, but (probably) only target Rex, so if you can draw Rex's attention, they're not that scary.
When Red Stone and Ventia arrive as allied reinforcements, don't rush in recklessly. Instead, carefully use ranged attacks to take down only the enemies approaching the entrance.
Chapter 5: The Hostage Rescue Operation
First, let's go rescue Eustacia and Eustis.
The rescue should be possible with almost no problems right after the start.
After that, as long as you proceed without making any major mistakes, there shouldn't be any problems.
Since Eustice, who can heal, will soon join the main force on the right, it might be a good idea to put Tzeta, who can heal, in the northern unit.
The boss, Geddy, will attack your units recklessly if you get too close.
When it moves, it's your chance to collect the treasure chest.
You can open the treasure chest with Ren, but you can also open it with the treasure chest key hidden on the stairs near the north entrance.
The contents are Seal Magic (a magic-sealing wand) and Restoration (a wand that cures all status ailments).
Chapter 6: The Ancient Capital Burns
This map's objective is to defend your position until a specified number of turns have passed.
There are NPC troops in front of you, so you don't need to worry too much.
However, the left to upper left area of the defense zone is undefended, and there is one civilian there.
Let's quickly rescue them with Ventia.
The most intense fighting took place to the right of the city walls.
Along the way, reinforcements such as ghosts will appear, so bring plenty of characters, including those who can use magic.
If you talk to the NPC Sistina, she will ask you whether you want to evacuate the area or immediately join the battle.
If there's a risk of being attacked, it might be safer to evacuate them.
The hidden item in the upper left is a cure for all diseases.
You can obtain a lucky ring by rescuing the child hiding inside the building.
Rescuing citizens will reward you with items such as "Secret Techniques/Divine Arts".
We have a base of operations after this.
You should definitely buy plenty of silver weapons, such as armor killers and horse killers, without being stingy with your money.
Chapter 7 Escort
This map was quite challenging.
Although we are surrounded by enemies on all sides, we can fight relatively easily if we maintain a proper battle formation.
Form a formation with Rex, Percival, Alanis, and Marcia at the front line, place ranged attackers in the middle row, and escort targets and healers in the back row.
The mages who are attacking from a distance near your starting position should be eliminated quickly, perhaps by using Ventia's support ability.
It's important to proceed slowly while checking the enemy's attack range.

The boss, Yurishia, will (probably) only attack Rex, so just use Rex to fight her.
Because of the "Destructive Impulse" skill, only Rex with "Foresight" can stand a chance.
To reduce the enemy's critical hit rate, make full use of Azalea and Tzeta's support effects.
Assassins lurking in the forest, as well as those launching long-range magic attacks from high ground, will generally only target Rex.
The most important thing is to make good use of Rex without overexerting yourself.
The enemies on the high ground were defeated by Ventia's direct attacks and magic-based divine magic.
The item submerged in the waterfall is the "Ice Spear".
After clearing the map, an event map will begin, and then you will enter the base.

Once the coronation ceremony is over, Rex will undergo a class change.
It was already quite strong, but this unit will become even more powerful.
Your level will reset to 1, so ideally you should be able to reach the maximum level by then, but that will likely be quite difficult.
The "Healing Ointment" that can be purchased at the base restores 10 HP to one adjacent ally.
If you give it to your teammates on the front lines, you can reduce the burden on your healers.
Added in May 2022"In Chapter 7, the enemy on the escort map who casts long-range magic has a god-tier accessory called Hunter's Eye (Sniping skill), so it's a good idea to have Ed steal it." (Information provided by Matcha)
Chapter 8: Surprise Attack
Now, this is a map where you must capture enemy bases within 20 turns.
If you try to do everything—obtaining Oldson's golden axe, finding the "substitute amulet" hidden near Oldson, and destroying the escort ship (gaining 100 TP)—the difficulty level will increase.
On turn 4, multiple enemy reinforcements, including escort ships, will emerge from the right coastline.
If you want to play it safe, first head towards the fort on the left with your entire army and gradually conquer it.
After that, if you deal with both the reinforcements coming from the right and the enemies heading towards the fort, and continue your advance, you won't be in danger.
However, defeating the enemy's flying units and ballistas will be quite difficult without Ventia, who is equipped with fire-based magic.
The boss guarding the fort is tough and strong, so attack while healing characters with high magic power, such as Walter.
Oldson is a powerful force, but sending Rex there might mean we won't be able to capture the fort in time, which is a dilemma.
The substitute amulet can be obtained safely if acquired during the turn in which you capture a fort.
Once you acquire it, capture the fort and make your escape.
If you want to cheat a little, you can acquire it with Ventia at the beginning of the turn, and then reload the game repeatedly until the extra action is triggered, allowing you to obtain it without any risk (this only works on Normal difficulty where the random number generator changes).
Added on April 21, 2021:We have received information that in Hard Mode, after capturing Pellagio (the captain of the escort ship), players can obtain 100 TP upon his release.
Chapter 9: Interception
This is a challenging map, arguably the most difficult part of the first half of the game.
Some unit injuries are probably unavoidable.
Although there is a turn limit, it's only 50 turns, so I don't think it's something to worry about too much.
If you plan to use all 50 turns to advance, it might not be that difficult.
In my case, I focused on building a bridge in Luciela and using it as a stepping stone for my advance.

Let's advance quickly and defeat the cavalry unit led by Lidera as soon as possible.
The defending troops led by Marvel on the side will not move in principle.
Let's take on the cavalry first.
Marvel will probably attack once and then move on.
Since the Horse Killer is scary, I think you can defeat it by using ranged attacks to whittle it down, and then, once it switches to a throwing spear, unleashing a concentrated melee attack.
I think the magician unit in the rear will finally catch up to us around the time we begin engaging the defending forces.
Herodia's star flames deal massive damage to enemies within range, so use a highly durable allied unit as bait to draw her out on one enemy.
After they use their Star Flame, have your cavalry units quickly close in and attack.
You can usually defeat it with about two attacks.
If the opponent's long-range attacks are getting in the way, you can use Elte's "Narrow Escape" skill to create a decoy and make it easier to survive.
The cavalry and flying reinforcements that appear from the bottom right of the map aren't particularly strong, but be careful of their wave attacks utilizing repositioning.
The defensive units are being whittled down one after another, and there's a risk of being defeated.
For the general at the very back, Bergeres, I think it's best to have Rex fight him using the Horse Killer, which you get after defeating Marvel.
The Master Sword's double attack is painful, but since it's a ranged attack, you can counter with the Wind Sword, so it's not that scary.
The item located at map 16:3 is a panacea.
Chapter 10: The Dragon's Fang
This is a side story stage where you control the "Dragon's Fang" led by Vasco and fight.
This stage is as difficult as a chess puzzle, but if you absolutely cannot clear it, you can clear it from the information gathering screen (however, there is no reward for clearing it).

You'll want to quit as soon as possible, but trying to force yourself to complete it is extremely difficult.
Since you have a small number of members, focus on counterattacking effectively during the enemy's turn and dealing as much damage as possible to them.
The strategy begins with confronting the pursuers.
On turn 1, leave the carriage to wait, and Vasco will attack the two Hussars in front with his steel axe (you should generally use the steel axe against anything other than bosses that use magic).
Belmi, wielding Tonbokiri, heads slightly north to get closer to the Griffon Rider.
Aiza will intercept the gladiators coming from the exit point side, making sure not to enter the ballista's range.
Margot and Rakia will wait outside the archers' range so they can take them down next turn.
In the second turn, Belmi will take down one Griffon Rider, and Margot and Rakia will take down two archers for sure.
Sanilam will go to Iza's aid while positioning himself to prevent the carriage from being attacked.
Vasco equips the Septentriones and prepares for the boss Muzer's attack, while positioning his infantry from the south to counterattack as much as possible during the enemy's turn.
On the third turn, we must somehow defeat Muzer, even if it means making sacrifices.
If we can somehow defeat the gladiator that Aiza and Sanilam are fighting, we won't have to worry about that direction anymore.
All that's left is for everyone to fight back against the pursuers.
Since Vasco is the only one with healing abilities, try to protect the carriage in a position where Vasco can absorb as many attacks as possible.

If Vasco and at least one other person can survive, all that's left is to cook the baristas.
However, if Vasco is the only one left alive, defeating him will require luck, so if that happens, make full use of save and load to finish him off.
After clearing this map, you can take your time to organize your troops at your base.
Chapter 11: The Mountain Search
As the Eastern Front led by Walter, you will be responsible for selecting the members.
Choose your members carefully, as those you deploy here will be unavailable for Rex's side for a while.
At the start of the map, Elisheva will offer you her cooperation.
You can choose to add them as a controllable unit, have them prevent reinforcements without participating in battles on the map, or decline the offer.
I decided to have them prevent reinforcements from arriving.
I haven't verified where the reinforcements appear from, but it's basically a map that can be tackled at a leisurely pace, so it's not difficult.
If you can defeat the thief who runs off to the upper right of the map with the golden axe using Ventia, the rest will be easy.
You can clear the stage without any problems by using guest units like Gordius or other units with high defense as shields while advancing.
The item you can obtain by examining the glowing spot is a cure for all diseases.
Chapter 12: Evil's Nest
In this map, Elisheva and Isaac will be playable units.
(What happens if the offer was refused in the previous chapter is unverified.)
Added on April 26, 2023If you refuse, it seems only Isaac will join as the control unit. (Information provided by: Anonymous)
Since Gordius is absent, you'll have trouble without a defensive unit to act as a frontline wall.
The item in the upper left of the map cannot be reached even with flying units because it's an indoor map, so I think the only option is to use a warp wand.
Since I haven't acquired it yet, I don't know what drops there.
Added on November 23, 2019If you examine the candlestick directly below with Luciela, a hidden passage will appear, allowing you to obtain an item. It is said to be a powerful sword. (Information provided by Mr. Davidov)
Added on November 28, 2019Apparently, events can also occur with the remote.
In Ed, only a message appears, and it doesn't actually allow you to pass through. (Information provided by: Sasasa-sama)
The demon soldiers that appear from turn 10 onwards will be warped to your side by Delilah using Dimension Gate, so it's important to make sure you don't have any weakened units.

Irina is a tough opponent, but I think it's easier to defeat her using Walter's Wind of Restraint, as shown in the image above.
If you attack from range 2 in that state, the character will switch from Tithorn to Chakram, making it easier to defeat them with magic attacks.
Govine isn't very strong, so you should be fine if you defeat him normally.
Chapter 13: The Great Carriage Robbery
Apparently, there's a bonus for clearing the game without defeating Deluxe and the coattroopers, but I wasn't able to achieve it.
Even if you use your warp wand to jump over the coat troopers blocking the road, inspecting the carriage will cause Delux and his men to advance.
If we had kept forming a wall with the unarmed members, we might have been able to keep Delux and the others alive, but I just didn't feel like going that far.
This map isn't particularly difficult to clear under normal circumstances.
Added on December 28, 2019:If Delux and all the coattroopers survive, you can obtain the Marwols axe, which halves the damage (information provided by reu).
On turn 7, Vulcanus will appear from the house at position 16:7.
After the Weakness effect wears off, you can easily defeat it with Rex by utilizing Azalea Tzeta's support effect.
Defeating it will grant you a cure for all diseases.

Chapter 13 Postlude: One trouble has passed
This is a battle against enemies, each with their own unique name.
Many of them have skills, so be careful when you fight them.
If you don't rush in all at once, but instead take your time and progress gradually, this stage isn't that difficult.
However, from turn 8 onwards, Rune Knight reinforcements will appear near your starting position for a while.
Be careful to prevent the carriage you are protecting from being destroyed, and aim for a swift advance.
The item submerged in the lake is a secret scroll (axe).
Chapter 14 Beachhead
If you visit a 1:1 house with Rex, you will receive the Mage Masher.
Since there's plenty of turn time, it would be a good idea to send a small group of members, including Rex, to the north.
However, on the enemy's fifth turn, three Charge Knights will appear around 24:00.
It is recommended to send a small, elite force to the north to deal with the situation.
As for the enemy's fort, let's take our time and attack carefully.
Since the drawbridge is raised, we'll use indirect attacks and flying units to reduce the number of enemies inside, and once we've reduced their numbers to a certain extent, we'll have the flying units raise the drawbridge and then charge in.
Enemy forces from the west aren't so formidable if we raise the drawbridges and engage them indirectly.
Let's actively use weapons with a range of 3 to take them down.
The three mages surrounding the boss will use Daze to repeatedly incapacitate you.
Since it's annoying, make sure you have multiple ways to cure status ailments.
Otherwise, the advance will become impossible.
The item hidden on the surface of the sea is a cure for all diseases.
Clearing this map will allow you to reunite with Walter's unit.
Chapter 15: Blast
The units deployed in this chapter cannot be deployed in the next chapter due to consecutive battles.
This map involves breaking through the enemy's encirclement, waiting for your allies to escape, and then having your own forces make their final withdrawal—there's a lot to do.
The next map features powerful guest units, including Veritis, so it seems like even under-leveled members can manage.
If you're worried, deploy some powerful units in this Chapter 15.
The ballista is quite powerful and dangerous, so use a sturdy unit to take it down.
Until the ballista is destroyed, it's safer to stay out of its range and limit your advance.
Let's use the flying units to somehow destroy the ballista on the other side of the bridge as well.
Otherwise, you won't be able to cross the bridge safely.
When Rex uses his horn, the witch Herodias and ghosts will appear in the lower left corner of the map.
There is no immediate harm, but the person being protected will be attacked after a while, so it is a good idea to have a powerful unit on standby beforehand.
The star flames are powerful, so be careful not to cluster together in groups.
The best time to use the horn depends on the situation, but I think around turns 7-9 is ideal.
From turn 12 onwards, reinforcements will appear from the upper right of the map.
If you set up a defensive line of two squares near the escape point to block it, it's not that scary.
Chapter 16 Lord
This map requires you to survive until turn 20 while allowing the rescue wagon to escape, and then withdraw all your troops by turn 24.
This map makes it difficult to know how to retreat effectively.

Basically, we'll use Veritis as a tank to withstand attacks.
Occasionally, enemies cross the river, and the other members will intercept them.
As shown in the image below, if you place allied units such as Altos behind Veritis, the enemies will target those units with indirect attacks, thus protecting Veritis from wave attacks.

This enemy unit will use a javelin to attack the units behind Veritis, preventing other enemy units from directly attacking Veritis.
The carriage conducting the rescue operation can perform two rescues per turn if you support it, so use this to your advantage and retreat early.
The three Pegasus sisters don't have very high attack power, so defeat them by attacking them with a bow, as is the standard strategy.
It's important to be careful, as attacks can often be avoided by parrying.
Let's leave Delilah, who is positioned to the south, alone and avoid provoking her.
If you are within its attack range, you will be hit by a ranged attack that has the additional effect of sealing your magic, but Veritis will not take any damage.
On turn 7, a thief wielding a golden axe will emerge from the ruined castle.
Defeating it is dangerous, but it's not a bad idea to go for it even if it means risking being incapacitated in battle.
On turn 11, three pirates will appear as reinforcements around the 11:2 mark.
You can find healing ointment in the southern village, but it's nothing special, so you can ignore it.
Once it's turn 20, swap Veritis and Altos, and use Elte's support to retreat quickly.
Altos doesn't need to leave, so I'll buy some time while the other members leave.
We occasionally receive reinforcements of flying units from the north, but they don't pose much of a threat.
Chapter 17: God or Man?
There is a 50-turn limit, but this is merely a restriction on unlimited level-ups, and in reality, there is plenty of leeway.
First, since our team has a Ballista, let's take out the enemy Ballista as our initial move.
By utilizing Elte's support, you can take the initiative and destroy ballistas within the same range.
In the village on the right, you can obtain a charm for good health (resistance: poison, deadly poison, bleeding, paralysis, disease), while in the village on the left, you can receive a bracelet of unparalleled strength (skill: full-force strike).
You can choose whichever you prefer, but to increase Rex's firepower, I recommend the Bracelet of Unrivaled Strength (to defeat the final boss quickly).
Cabome becomes a guest unit when you talk to him with Rex.
They won't move from the castle gate, but they're useful because they'll heal any injured units with long-range heals.
The shop in the lower right corner of Cabome will become available after the conversation.
If you persuade Kabome, you can obtain the Staff of Vanargand after clearing the game.
This staff seems to be related to the branching endings, so be sure to acquire it.
Chapter 17 Postlude: Catacombs
Let's go rescue Mariano and June with Rex, and everyone else head to the throne.
If you wait in the rightmost corridor leading to the prison, you will take damage from the laser.
It's best to keep June there even after you've recruited her as a companion.
There are four nuns placed along the way; you'll receive a bonus if you complete the level while they're still alive.
If left unchecked, its HP will decrease by 1 each turn, but there's no need to panic too much.
However, if you are attacked by them, 30% of the damage you receive will be returned to them, so advance in small groups while staying in a position where you won't be attacked.
If you can't reach the safe zone in one go, you can use Elte's support to get you there.
If your movement speed is 6 or higher, you can send characters from one safe zone to another with Elte's support.
I think there are various ways to do it, such as sealing their magic or sending them there via warp.
The treasure chests on the right contain the Light Hammer Divine Technique, Refresh, and 5000G.
Chapter 18 Two Commanders
This map is powerful because of Silvia's hero skill, which provides a strong overall support effect against enemies.
Since the abilities of the regular soldiers have also been boosted, we want to defeat Silvia as soon as possible.
Since our main members are unavailable, let's proceed carefully to prevent our numbers from decreasing.
The turrets to be destroyed are heavily armored, and fire-based magic is effective against them, so make sure to have plenty of fire-based spells equipped, such as those used by Walter.
Fortunately, there's still some leeway in the turn limit, so let's take our time and attack carefully.
We will advance to the left from our starting position, with the goal of defeating Silvia first.
If you let your allies advance too far, they will also be vulnerable to the ballista's attacks, so it's important to advance slowly and steadily without rushing.
Silvia has a high chance of acting again, and she uses hit-and-run tactics by moving again after attacking.
Lure them in with provocations, then surround and defeat them all at once.
Around turn 8, one Dragon Knight reinforcement will appear, and on turn 10, three more Dragon Knights will appear from the bottom left.
These are the only reinforcements we have, so let's just proceed slowly and carefully from here on out.
If you find the ballista on the right side of the map difficult to defeat, it might be a good idea to let it fire all its shots and proceed safely if you don't want to bother with it.
It is currently unknown what item the hunter in the bottom right dropped.
Since it can only be obtained by venturing deep into the forest, you will need to deploy units that are capable of handling the situation.
Added on November 28, 2019:The item dropped by the hunter is said to be a golden axe. Due to appearance restrictions, it seems that it can only be obtained by a class-changed Rely. (Information provided by Sasasa-sama)
Added on December 2, 2019:It seems that even Ren, who has changed to a walking type, can retrieve it. (Information provided by Minami)
There is a pre-battle conversation between the two snipers, Silvia and Elmud.

Chapter 19: The Fool's Crossing Trap
Delilah is in the bottom right, but she will either engage in combat with Herodia or teleport in and start moving from turn 7.
Herodia will also start making moves from turn 7, so you don't need to be aggressive in attacking from your side.
I think it would be easier to fight Herodia if you were a little further back from her initial position.

You can earn TP by having June and the two witches talk, but it's quite difficult, so you don't need to force it.
Since neither of them can be damaged much by magic attacks, the best strategy is to defeat them quickly with Rex's attacks or Azalea's Meteor.
The "Curse" status effect is a troublesome one that cannot be healed.
Let's use a universal remedy or similar treatment to help him recover.
You can obtain a powerful hidden weapon called Carnwennan in the lake in the lower left, but be careful as you will be surrounded on all sides by Dancing Flowers once you acquire it.
Chapter 20: Delay Operation
This map requires you to prevent the enemy from reaching a designated point for 20 turns.
The enemy is more interested in advancing ahead than launching an attack against us.
Therefore, even if we push forward to some extent, we won't be subjected to much concentrated fire, so we should try to wear down the enemy forces while pursuing them as much as possible.
Enemy cavalry units are troublesome, so make sure you distribute weapons that specialize in attacking mounted units.
You can devise various strategies on the information gathering screen before advancing.
If you dismiss the vigilante group, you will obtain a Zanbatō, Armor Crusher, Critical Bow, and Potions.
Since they won't be receiving anything particularly valuable, I think it's better to have the vigilantes participate in combat.
If you assign Vasco to intercept the air force, the enemy reinforcements on turn 12 will not arrive (Vasco will level up once after clearing the stage).
If you request reinforcements from Baron Lescacha, the 6th Platoon, mainly composed of Paladins, will arrive as reinforcements on turn 10.
The default command will not initiate an attack on the enemy, so it's a good idea to issue an attack command as soon as possible.
They are a fairly strong unit, so they will be a welcome reinforcement.
Marshal Early will be close to the defensive position around turn 19.
They don't attack and just keep moving, so they're not that scary unless you attack them first.
It's not difficult to defeat them by attacking with lightning-based magic or heavy-armor-effective weapons, so try aiming for the golden axe.

Chapter 21: Dragon Hunt
The scene shifts, and the conversation moves to Walter's unit.
The decline in combat strength has been taken into consideration, and several mitigating measures are in place.
"Field Commissioning" allows you to temporarily change lower-class units (level 10 or higher) to higher-class units, but only on this map.
Since it allows you to receive parameter corrections for higher classes, there's no reason not to do it.
Since the level remains unchanged, you can give them experience points without any worries.
Additionally, as a handicap, it is possible to request allied guest units and friendly forces.
It seems the rewards after clearing the stage will be reduced, but you should use it if you think it will be difficult to clear.
The guests are two snipers and Sage, and the allied forces are Heathcliff's air squadron.
Azir is tough because his bow-effective attacks are nullified by the accessory, Wadjet's Eye.
Furthermore, he will use a powerful attack with his Master Spear, so try to avoid direct attacks as much as possible.
If you reduce its HP with magic attacks or other means, it will use the Eye of Wadjet to restore its HP.
Once Wadjet's eyes are gone, its bow-effectiveness disappears, making it easy to defeat.
Chapter 22: Invitation
This is a stage we're tackling with a small group of members for the first time in a while.
If you choose the top nine units you've trained up to this point, the difficulty level isn't high.
Leon can get into trouble surprisingly quickly, so advance your troops so that members with long-range heals can get within range as soon as possible.
Defeating the two bosses is easy, so let's go for it.
The three treasure chests above Leon contain Heal All, Secret Techniques/Mind Technique, and Gale Pressure.
It's easiest to have the enemy thieves retrieve it for you, then defeat them and take it from them.
The treasure chest in the lower right of Judah contains a substitute amulet.
Chapter 23 Sacrifice
This map involves splitting into two groups and progressing through an indoor area.
The Royal Guards can be easily defeated if they're unlucky, so provide support by casting long-range heals on them.
After you talk to him, he'll charge off to rescue Elaine Rose, so make sure to protect him so he doesn't get defeated.
Once you get close enough to the throne, the boss will start attacking Elaine Rose.
You have some time before you get defeated, but since you can't select Elaine as a target for healing, you should defeat the boss as quickly as possible.
The treasure chest contains a golden axe, Urthragna (spear), and Healall.
In the next map, Chapter 23's epilogue, you can clear it simply by having Rex keep moving downwards no matter what happens.
Chapter 24: The Cry of Chaos
This is an exciting map where you cooperate with your former enemies to protect the civilians.
Some citizens are defeated as early as the first turn, so be sure to quickly transport them away right after the game starts.
Since the main objective is to rescue civilians, it's helpful to deploy plenty of flying units and mounted units.
It's frustrating that I can't seem to inflict much damage on the enemy, but the victory condition is simply the passage of a specified number of turns.
Let's not push ourselves too hard and fight while retreating towards the center.
Chapter 25: The Stone of Life
This is a rather time-consuming map where you progress towards the center of a spiral-shaped map.
Since there are many monsters, be sure to prepare equipment made of spirit silver and effective magic.
The passage on the far right becomes passable below once you defeat the enemy wielding the Dragon Lance.
Since transporting units takes some time using only the moving platform, it's a good idea to also use the aisle on the far right.
However, the Dragonlance's charge can inflict considerable damage, so first lure it in with a sturdy unit and be careful not to get defeated.
The bony obstacles in the passageways make movement costly, so units that are spread out vertically are often attacked from the flank by gargoyles.
The boss dragons have a skill that halves their attack power.
Enemies with this skill can be dealt almost no damage with normal attacks.
Attack with a high-ranking weapon that has the "Attack Halving Seal" ability.
If you haven't gathered enough of these weapons, defeating them will be quite difficult.
Added November 28, 2019: It has been reported that the axe "Arioch," which has the ability to break attack seals, can be obtained at coordinates (14,11). Due to movement restrictions, it may only be possible to retrieve it with a class-changed Rely. (Information provided by: Sasasa)
Chapter 26: Sledgehammer
This map requires you to defend your allies for 10 turns.
Since the deployment members are completely fixed, battles will be tough if you have many underdeveloped members.
However, you can also receive support from allied forces, and it's easy if all you have to do is make sure that more than 10 of your allied units aren't destroyed.
Since healing units are limited, it's a good idea to equip each unit with plenty of potions and healing ointments.
If Ventia has undergone a class change, you'll have two healers, Isaac and Ventia.
Otherwise, have Ed or Luciela carry ointment and use them as healers.
The enemy with the blizzard ability in the bottom right can be easily dealt with by using flying units early on.
Also, Protogonos will appear in the lower right corner, so you will need to deal with that as well.
Otherwise, if we gather at the point to the north where our allies are located and deal with the situation there, we should be able to defend ourselves without any problems.
Chapter 27: The Field of Chaos
This map requires you to defeat five dimensional gates.
I think this map is quite difficult, but it becomes much easier if you make good use of teleportation stones, warp points, and recall abilities.
This map will be difficult unless you have multiple weapons with the "Attack Seal Break" skill (such as the swords Lucifer and Myrgles, the bow Moonbow, the divine magic Amduat, and the magic Keraunos).
Having a weapon with the "Attack Seal Break" ability and a range of 2 or more makes things much easier, as you can attack without being adjacent to the dimensional gate (since there are usually enemies around the dimensional gate).
Be aware that you cannot deal damage with "Attack Halving Seal".
Now, because the number of enemies keeps increasing, it becomes very difficult to clear the stage if you take too long.
Therefore, have a unit with an "attack-blocking" weapon carry a teleportation stone so that once you defeat a dimensional gate, you can smoothly move to the next dimensional gate.
I think you can destroy the dimensional gate at 29:2 in the upper right and the dimensional gate at 22:23 in the lower right relatively early in the game.
The Dimensional Gate takes about 10 turns to revive after being defeated, so you actually have quite a bit of leeway.
However, station troops in these two locations that you defeated early on, and keep them adjacent to each other so that you can quickly defeat them again when they respawn.
The enemies located in the recessed areas, 2:5 in the upper left and 24:15 in the middle right, are easiest to defeat quickly using teleportation stones or warp wands.
You can proceed normally at 14:14, but it will take a little longer.
If you are being transported by another friendly unit when teleporting, the transporting unit will act as a shield at the destination, and if it is destroyed, it saves you the trouble of having to drop it off.
Since the dimensional gate is surrounded by Protogonos, it's troublesome to have an attack-blocking weapon with a range of 2 or more, as it allows you to attack from all sides.
Use flying units like Vasco and Ventia to advance while protecting your main units from being destroyed.
Having abilities like Long Range Heal or Heal All, which allow you to heal even from a distance, is very useful.
Chapter 28: Determination and Mission
The members you deployed on this map cannot be deployed on the next map.
This map isn't particularly difficult, so I think it's best to deploy your reserve troops.
Head north from your starting position, defeat the enemies positioned there, and then you'll fight a group of gargoyles.
When a group of ghosts approaches from behind, use a slow unit as a decoy and simply ignore them.
The only truly formidable opponents are those wielding master weapons who are near your target.
Since its attack power is high, we'll want to use Virgil's encouragement to try and defeat it in one turn.
The dimensional gates along the way don't spawn reinforcements for at least the first six turns, so you can basically ignore them unless you feel like defeating them.
Chapter 29: What We See in Chaos
This boss is ridiculously huge.
Since everyone takes a little damage each turn and the boss uses area-of-effect attacks, having Heal All makes things much easier.
The boss's area-of-effect attacks only deal around 10-20 damage, so they're not much of a threat as long as you don't get too close.
Since it has a tough 600 HP, have Rex get to it as quickly as possible and keep attacking with Pathfinder.
In that case, we will use the support effects of Azalea and Zita, and encouragement from Elte.
The rest of our allies should focus on clearing the way so that Rex and the others can fight without worry.
Chapter 30: The Final Trial
This is truly the final map.
It's not difficult if Rex is leveled up to the maximum level.
Before the battle, make sure to get "Cortana" from Elaine Rose while gathering information.
Additionally, equipping accessories that boost stats will make your character even more formidable.
When Rex is near death, his HP recovers to some extent and he gains the "Phoenix" status.
If that happens, your HP will recover to some extent each turn, and your stats will also be boosted, making things considerably easier.

Epic 1: The King's Lance
If you try to clear this map as soon as it appears, each enemy will be a bit on the strong side.
Healing, armor-killing, and magic attacks are practically essential.
I think we'll need quite a lot, so we need to make sure we have plenty on hand.
In my case, I tackled it by taking the route through the Living Armor on the right.
Since the enemies basically don't move, you can safely defeat them by using divine magic with a range of 3 or armor killers.
However, be careful, as there is a spot in the room where armored enemies transform (and these enemies will move around).
The treasure chest contains items such as Recall (similar to a Rescue Staff), Warp, and Repair.

The boss is quite tough.
The basic strategy is to have Rex use the Armor Killer weapon to attack.
Master Spear's counterattack will reduce Rex to near-death, but have both of you keep healing him, and have Elte stand next to one of the healers to provide support.
Using Heal three times should fully heal Rex.
You might think that your healer will be defeated during the enemy's turn, but the boss will likely prioritize attacking Elte, who is within range of its critical bow.
Since Elte can avoid fatal attacks up to nine times on the same map, all of the enemy's attacks can be drawn to Elte.
With Rex's critical hits, it should be possible to defeat it in 4 or 5 turns.
The boss's HP recovers a little bit each turn, so make sure you're well-prepared before you fight.
Epic 2: City Siege
It's okay if the guest units get defeated, so let's save Altos and Ranger until we reach the boss, Narlib.
Let the pirates advance ahead, while the cavalry handles any incoming troops from behind and provides reinforcements near the stairs.
If Narlib switches to the Horse Killer, Altos will be in trouble.
After attacking with Altos's Penetrator, move away and have Ranger use his Stinger for a melee attack.
They might use potions to heal themselves, but you should be able to defeat them in about three turns.
After capturing the base, have Altos wait on defense while the remaining members protect the surrounding area, and you should be able to defend it easily.
Let's not let our guard down until the very end.
Epic 3: The Situation in the East
In terms of difficulty, this map isn't particularly difficult.
As a guest unit, an homage to the three knight brothers from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War will appear.
Added on December 28, 2019:If you clear the mission with Relly and all of the green allied units surviving, you will receive the Swift Anklet (movement +2 accessory) (Information provided by reu).
After a certain amount of time has passed, a thief wielding a golden axe will appear in the small room in the lower right.
Since it will try to escape after appearing, have someone ready to take it down beforehand.
The blue treasure chest contains a Refresh (a staff that fully restores an ally's HP), and the green treasure chest contains the Flame Chain magic.
To open the treasure chest, you need to recruit Relie as a companion and use the "Provocation" ability from the Rose Song to lure the boss out of the room, allowing you to open it slowly.
Rose Song has low durability, so be careful not to get defeated.
Epic 4: Rescuing the Templar Knights
Since there are many mounted enemies, having magic like Horse Killer or Earth Spear will make the battle much easier.
First, you'll encounter enemies near the front of the cathedral, so recruit Leclerc as your ally.
The defenders on the right side of the cathedral will be defeated if left unchecked, so I will send a few reinforcements.
We will send our main force towards the enemy's headquarters in the lower right.
Cavalry will keep spawning from the enemy's base in the lower right, so push forward with your units that have high defensive capabilities.
To avoid being subjected to a wave of attacks from the cavalry after their initial attack and subsequent repositioning, we will advance without immediately penetrating deep into enemy territory.
After that, enemy reinforcements in the form of an air force will appear from the lower left.
The Templar on the front of the cathedral is solid, so you don't need to worry too much about it.
Leaving your archers and Sistine at the front will make it easier to defend.
The boss, Count Maiens, is a formidable opponent, wielding a horse-slaying sword.
Moreover, they will take action if you approach them, so you need to be careful.
With the support of Azalea and Tzeta, let's defeat them in one go with Rex.
The weapon shop near the front of the cathedral has a variety of magical weapons, so it might be a good idea to buy a few for units with high magic power.
A lightning spear with a range of 2-3 is useful.
Epic5 Supply Troop Escort
After defeating Wolf, a girl will appear. If you transport the girl and then visit the house immediately to the south, Elmud will join your party.
The easiest way to rescue them is to send Ventia directly there.
The two houses inside the fence will give you some useless items: medicinal herbs and an iron bow.
The enemies other than the boss aren't that strong, so it's fine to form a team centered around the characters you want to level up.
Epic 6: Situation in the East 2
Although we have a small number of allied members, many of them are quite powerful individually, so it shouldn't be too difficult.
If you advance normally, protecting the village and the bodyguards will be easy.
The bargains at the tool shop include anti-theft accessories, while the bargains at the weapon shop include a variety of critical-hit weapons.
If you have the money, I think it's worth buying.

Catherine's unit can fight relatively easily if you place a defensive unit one square away from the cliff.
However, everyone has the destructive impulse status effect, so be careful as you tend to take more damage.
If you defeat Catherine, her subordinates will turn to your side and retreat.
On the enemy's turn, turn 6, skeletons will appear from the graveyard in the lower right of the map and act immediately, so be careful to keep units with low defense away from them.
Be careful, as the boss will move and attack if you enter its range.
If you successfully protect the shopkeeper's bodyguard, you will receive a promotion certificate.
Epic 7 Exercises
This is a training map where you can choose up to two times, and your weapon's durability does not decrease while you are playing.
There are some reinforcements, but the enemy doesn't move aggressively, making this a relatively easy map to clear.
Some ballistas and other enemies are located in places that can only be attacked by flying characters or weapons with a range of 3, so be sure to prepare accordingly.
The boss is quite tough, but if you attack with magic that has a range of 3, you should be able to defeat him without much trouble.
Give them expensive weapons and raise them to your heart's content.
Wands and items are consumable, so be careful.
In the second attempt, the boss will be Azalea, and she has a tornado with a range of 3, so be careful.
However, since the tornado can only be used 10 times, once you've used it all up, you can easily defeat it with indirect attacks.
Epic8 withdrawal support
The members deployed on this map cannot be deployed in Chapter 9.
It might be a good idea to take a quick look at the map for Chapter 9 before deciding which members to deploy.
You can temporarily fulfill the conditions for leaving by having transport soldiers visit the village and performing the "Rescue Operation" command five times.
I might have received more bonuses if I had also completed the rescue operation in the green village, but I decided against it.
It would have been easy if I had deployed my strongest members, but because it would affect the next main story, I mainly deployed my second-string members, which made it quite difficult.
You can get a cure for all diseases at the Green House.
Added in November 2021(Information provided by Mr./Ms. G)
- Both the blue town on the right and the green town on the left have a 100% rescue rate.
・All three friendly troops survived
I received a gold trophy that said "Master of Rescue Operations".
Defeating Rosa and Margaret, who appear from the bottom left, doesn't seem to be relevant (you get 500 gold and 100 TP).
Added in May 2022(Information provided by Matcha-sama)
"In Epic 8's retreat support, there are enemies with the Ring of Skill, so it's best to steal it with Ed. Equip it to Elte and use Night Song to hit a large number of enemies, and you'll have a high chance of putting a lot of them to sleep. When they're asleep, they're unable to act for several turns, they don't counterattack, and their defense drops drastically, so you can quickly gain the upper hand and beat them up unilaterally, which feels really good. Night Song was so good that I didn't use the other songs much."
Epic9 Maiden of the Spirit Beasts
At the start of the map, Eustacia will change her class to La Pucelle.
It's most efficient if you've already leveled up to level 20.
This map is easy to clear.
There are a few strong units here and there, but I think you should consider your own strength and only try to defeat them if you have the opportunity.
Skeletons are somewhat weak, so if you have units you want to level up, deploying them in battle to train them is a good option.
Epic 10: The Beginning
This map features battles fought using only guest units.
Clearing the game isn't too difficult, but it becomes much harder if you aim for everyone to survive.
First, let's all face off against the first wave, including Mordegia, and defeat them.
Lancers can be defeated in one hit by Nina's counterattack, so it's a good idea to reduce their numbers during the enemy's turn.
After that, pursuers will appear sporadically, so keep advancing.
Only Shivaris and Nina can deal significant damage to the boss, Mountain Pit.
The other members should simply act as vanguards, focusing on their defensive roles.

The forest, which serves as a shortcut, gets congested if the entire army tries to advance through it at once, so it was much smoother to divide the army into groups of three and advance in groups.
Let's advance through the forest route with Shivalis, Robert, and others who can attack while staying away from the enemy.
It's easy because you can attack your pursuers while getting away.
The other members will use detours to avoid being defeated.
If you have enough turns, you can defeat Mountain Pit by attacking it about three times with Shivalis.
If you have Nina, you can speed things up by 1-2 turns by having her deliver the finishing blow.
If the members of the detour group form a wall at the forest exit, I think we can buy some time to escape Shivalis.
Luck plays a significant role, especially when defeating Mordegia in the early stages of the game.
It's quite difficult, but since you get a lot of items if everyone survives, I think it's worth trying.
If everyone survives, you will receive the following:
The "Time-Traveling Hourglass" is an item that allows the unit you possess to move again with a certain probability.
Giving it to powerful units like Rex will significantly boost their combat strength and make things much easier.

Epic11 Clam digging
I want to advance quickly, but this map is difficult to move on because it's a sandy beach.
As mentioned in the conversation before the map, it's important to bring along members who can move easily on the sandy beach.
The boss that's ravaging the temple in the upper right will drop the "Golden Axe" after a short while, so it's best to wait until you get it before defeating him.
Added on May 26, 2020: Information has been received that if you defeat the boss before he obtains the golden axe, you will receive Heal All and training points after clearing the stage.
In that case, you won't be able to obtain the golden axe, so it becomes an either/or situation.
You can get an ice bow by visiting the village in the upper left.
You can get an iron sword in the village a little above your starting position.
Objects marked with "???" on the map can be investigated by waiting and examining them to obtain hidden treasure.
By the 13th turn, the tide will come in, and some items will become unobtainable.
We'd like to somehow board the enemy ship by then.
In the worst-case scenario, it might be possible to board the ship by having Vasco transport you.
Epic12 Kidnap
This is a very difficult map where you must rescue Jean Marius and have everyone escape within 24 turns.
Using warp and recall significantly reduces the difficulty.
If you give up on collecting the treasure chests, the map becomes much easier, but you'll definitely want to acquire the golden axe.
As for the specific strategy, first, use warp to teleport your flying unit to the front of the prison.
In that case, someone strong enough to defeat Espoletta, who is guarding the prison, would be a good fit, so someone like Vasco would be suitable.
After defeating Espoletta, you will obtain the key to the door. Unlock the door, talk to Jean Marius, and then transport him.
After that, if you recall Vasco to the starting point, you'll be able to clear the game at any time.

I had Vasco talk to the character since you can talk to anyone, but if there are lines prepared for every character, that's an incredible level of detail.
I'll let Jean-Marius escape first, and then the whole army will head towards the throne.
Since reinforcements appear fairly frequently along the way, it's a good idea to leave some forces available to deal with them.
Valjean, who appears midway through the quest, will collect the golden axe and Heal All for you if you leave him alone, so it's easier to let him handle the collection.
When you reach the vicinity of the guardians protecting the throne, Valjean will be treated as an ally.
After the conversation, you can defeat him by selecting "Arrest him!", so collect the treasure.
Note that mounted units' movement speed is significantly reduced on indoor floors, so be careful not to run out of turns to escape.
If a unit absolutely cannot escape in time, you can achieve the same effect by intentionally letting it become incapacitated in battle.
Be careful, because if Rex Azalea Zita is defeated, it's game over.
Also, the game ends if the last remaining character is incapacitated, so be careful about that as well.
The treasure chests, from left to right, contain a golden axe, a Heal All, and a teleportation stone.
If you want to get the treasure chest on your own without using Valjean, you should use this teleportation stone to escape.
Epic 13: Hide and Seek
I haven't encountered it myself (or perhaps I simply overlooked it?), so I have no information.
(Added on May 11, 2020: Information provided by Mr./Ms. J)
There was information that it appeared before Chapter 18 began.
The characters involved were at the following levels: Ed LV2, Relie LV16, and June initial level.
The exact conditions for Epic appearance are unknown, but Rely's level may be a factor.
(Added on May 14, 2020: Information provided by rubeeru)
There have been reports that Relly appeared even at the initial level.
Epic14 Exercise 2
This is the map where you can finally obtain Ren's class change item.
Be careful, as the number of members and personnel you can deploy is limited.
However, since weapon durability does not decrease at all on this map, feel free to use your strongest weapons to gain an advantage in battle.
Let's divide our troops into upper and lower divisions and advance slowly, making sure not to let the enemy break through our defensive line.
If you take your time and approach the map carefully without rushing, it's not a particularly difficult map.
Epic 15: Defense in the Early Dawn
This is a 12-turn defense map with a moderate difficulty level.
Since we have allied forces, if you can have them heal while you take on the enemy, we can minimize our own losses.
The treasure chest in the upper right corner of the map will be taken by the enemy if left unattended, so position a unit capable of opening the chest at a nearby deployment location and retrieve it quickly.
It should be possible to retrieve it without any particular difficulty.
The treasure chest on the right contains Spellbreaker (when used with a command, it reduces magic damage to zero for one turn, up to 20 times), and the one on the left contains the Golden Axe.
Enemy engineers will advance using ladders, but you can generally deal with them by positioning your troops near your defensive position and near the 1st platoon.
You don't have to force yourself to go and attack the enemy.
On turn 7, the second platoon of our allies will arrive as reinforcements.
That would give you an even greater advantage and make things easier.
You could try to defeat the enemy boss, but you won't get any particularly valuable items from it, so I think it's better to focus on leveling up your underdeveloped units.
Epic 16: The Battle for the Silver Mine
This map is quite challenging.
Please note that units deployed on this map cannot be deployed on Epic 17.
Apparently, there's a bonus for clearing the level with five or more enemy turrets remaining, but it's extremely difficult, so I gave up.
I think the strategy is to carefully eliminate the turrets one by one with Vasco, and then advance once the path is clear.
Vasco will find it easier to take down the turrets in one turn if he has the Master Spear.
To prevent Vasco from becoming a target, you can use other characters to taunt him or get within range of the ballista to divert his attention.
Wait until you can reliably intercept the approaching enemies, then attack the remaining enemy positions.
There's plenty of room for turns, so the important thing is to proceed cautiously.
The Seven Knights can fight easily if they make good use of the defensive barricades and maneuver to avoid being attacked all at once.
Instead of destroying all three protective fences, destroy only one of them.
Added in July 2022"If you leave 5 turrets alive, Vasco's dialogue will be added after the battle, and you will obtain the 'Explosive Magic' skill. I haven't verified if there is any difference compared to leaving all 7 alive. The reward is not that great considering the effort, so I don't think it's worth trying to do it." (Information provided anonymously)
Added in August 2022"If you clear Epic 16, the Silver Mine Battle, without destroying the turrets, you will receive Heal All." (Information provided anonymously)
Epic 17: The Great Escape
This map involves escaping while protecting civilians.
We'll have a few men stand near the bridge for a while to intercept the troops coming from the north.
The troops intercepting the enemy from the south should, once they have defeated a certain number of enemies, quickly advance to the vicinity of the withdrawal point to ensure the safety of the civilians.
The Rura unit will pursue us from behind, so we'll leave the enemies that aren't coming towards us alone.
After that, the White Vulture team appears from the south.
They only capture civilians when they attack them, so you can lower their priority in eliminating them.
Captured civilians are released once their enemy is defeated, so there's no problem.
Wyverns have powerful flurry attacks, but if you lure them in and attack them with magic, you can defeat them without too much trouble.
I want the golden axe, so I'll try to get it if possible.
The item hidden near the bridge close to the exit point is a cure for all ailments.
Be careful of the Rura Squad, as they have destructive impulses and high attack power.
If you want the Labrys axe, you can defeat it, but it's very dangerous, so you don't necessarily need to go out of your way to defeat it.
Epic18 Highway Guard
The enemies aren't that strong, so I think it's fine to form a team centered around the units you want to level up.
You don't have to help the citizens, but the number of people you help will likely affect the reward points you receive after completing the mission.
Since the bridge catches fire and becomes difficult to cross when you try to go across it, I think it's better to cross the shallow water below the bridge from the start.
If Ventia is strong enough, head ahead to where the citizens are and defeat the enemies.
That way, you'll have plenty of time to meet the turn limit.
Epic19 Pickup
This map involves rescuing three death row inmates and escaping.
Have Vasco and Ventia circle around from the upper left route, while positioning them just above the line where the execution will not be carried out.
When certain conditions are met, such as your army entering a certain area or engaging stationary enemy units, the execution will proceed at Pilates' command.
Let's eliminate as many enemies as possible that won't trigger the execution before proceeding with the rescue.
Before proceeding with the rescue, it is essential to deal with the two enemies shown in the image below.
If you don't take action, Allie will be quickly defeated when the execution sequence begins, resulting in a game over.

Enemies who use poisonous insect techniques can be neutralized with Seal Magic.
Regarding Brigand, if you cover the two squares below Alial with Ventia or Vasco, you can protect him from attacks with Tomahawks.
If you can take care of these two, the rest should be easy.
If you clear the game while JJ is captured, Epic 20 will appear.
Epic20 Fox Hunt
This map appears after clearing Epic 19 with JJ captured.
You're surrounded, but it's not a particularly difficult map.
You should be fine if you proceed while eliminating the archers on the other side of the cliff using characters like Ventia.
You'll receive a bonus for capturing the boss and clearing the stage.
It's easiest to capture them as close to the escape point as possible, but since there's plenty of turn time, I think it's fine to capture them anywhere.
If you defeat all the enemies, the time limit will be extended by 5 turns.
Epic21 Underground Cave Exploration Team
This map reduces your HP by 3 each turn.
Since the damage can accumulate and become significant, bring along plenty of allies who can heal.
If you find it tedious to heal each enemy individually, then the Heal All staff is a good choice.
Ghost-type enemies are resistant to physical attacks, so be sure to bring a party member who can use magic attacks.
Additionally, having a weapon made of spirit silver, which is especially effective against undead, will make the battle much easier.
Defeating the guardian in the upper right corner will trigger a side quest asking you to investigate the temple at the coordinates directly above it (23:1).
When you investigate with a magic-user unit, they will begin the process of breaking the seal (I used June to break it).
It might depend on the unit's stats, but it took me nearly 10 turns to remove it, so make sure you have plenty of time to spare.
Magic-type units may not be able to reach the temple due to movement restrictions, so it's a good idea to use a warp wand or similar item to send them there.
If you deactivate it, the miasma damage you take each turn will be removed, and you will receive Lucifer (sword) after clearing the stage.
The boss, Kürgen, is extremely strong when equipped with the Breath of the Underworld due to the resulting stat boosts, making a fair fight extremely difficult.
As a countermeasure, have your units wait at least four squares away from Kürgen's blizzard magic range and have them attack with blizzard magic.
If you have the Blizzard Magic equipped, the status bonus will be removed.
After that, if you get close and defeat it within one turn, you can defeat it safely.
After defeating Kürgen, a ghost will appear on the spot, so be careful and defeat it as well.
Epic22 The Old Swamp
Although there is a turn limit, it's not a particularly unusual map.
There's no problem as long as you advance little by little so you don't get attacked by monsters all at once.
Yamada no Oroshigane is quite tough and its direct attacks are difficult to deal with, so attacking it with magic is a relatively safer option.
Since it takes time to defeat them, be mindful of the turn limit.
Where the lamia is located in the upper right, the Flame Sword is submerged.
Review (contains spoilers)
It was a truly epic masterpiece, substantial and satisfying.
The fact that there are absolutely no typos or grammatical errors in such a massive script, as far as I could tell, suggests that it has been checked very carefully and repeatedly.
I think this is one of the most meticulously crafted works I've seen in recent years.
Each character had their moment to shine and was meticulously portrayed, making them all feel like real, living people.
I have many favorite characters, but I particularly liked General Nashua.
From Rex's perspective, General Nashua is hardly depicted, but he was a key figure who supported the Southern Front, so it seems like a story centered around him could easily become a standalone work.
I think it's a work that gives a sense of breadth and depth.
As for the story, it followed a fairly standard plot.
However, I really appreciated how they meticulously and carefully depicted that classic formula from beginning to end.
For those who have trouble reading detailed text, this might be a bit boring.
Rather than using clever tactics to overcome difficult situations, the story often revolves around Rex brute force, which provides a certain catharsis.
Just when it seemed like the final battle was about to begin, the intrusion of the Chaos forces left things feeling rather anticlimactic.
However, the development where enemies and allies cooperate, while cliché, was incredibly exciting and thrilling.
The story suddenly shifts from a realistic scenario to a fantastical one, but I can't deny that somewhere deep down, I was hoping for this kind of development.
I kind of expected it to turn out this way, but I had a great time, so I'm very satisfied.
On a different note, there's a scene where Azalea learns some truth and is so shocked that she becomes unable to sortie.
Although that matter isn't mentioned in the script, I suspect they might be actual siblings.
If you think about it that way, it makes sense why she stepped aside from Rex in the epilogue.
I found the gameplay to be somewhat difficult.
There were parts where I felt that someone who isn't at least moderately familiar with SRPGs would get stuck.
Of course, various measures have been taken to prevent you from getting stuck, but if you proceed without a plan, you will likely struggle in the later stages.
It was nice not having to worry about money since weapons and items weren't that expensive (though that might be because I was careful not to miss out on the golden axe).
Regarding the stages, there were many maps with various creative designs, and despite its length, I was able to enjoy it without getting bored.
Other NPCs include allied NPCs who fight alongside you, NPCs you can escort, and NPCs you can give orders to.SRPG StudioThe production employed intricate systems that are rarely seen in other works.
Therefore, I felt that the stage performances hardly ever became repetitive.
In many SRPGs, the difficulty increases in the later stages by placing more enemies.
However, this game doesn't rely on such methods, and I feel it incorporates various types of challenges.
I personally liked that just because it was the later stages didn't necessarily mean it would take a long time to clear each stage.

There seemed to be multiple endings, but I managed to reach ending A, which I believe is the good ending.
The presumed conditions are that obtaining Pathfinder and the Staff of Vanargand will definitely be necessary.
Perhaps we might also need to include a conversation between Genet and Herodias Delilah.
Basically, as long as you successfully complete the Epics that appear, you should be fine.
The following is my record of clearing battles.
Training points: 29,300
Main story: 475 turns
Epic: 361 turns (however, Epic 13 Hide & Seek has not been cleared)
Damage dealt: 75049
Damage taken: 18456
Number of allied troops to retreat: 62
Purchase amount: 234,070
Sale price: 128,272
After clearing the game, there is a New Game Plus feature where you can exchange the training points you've earned for items at the start of the next game.
When transferring points, they are reduced to 1/100th of their original value, so you will need 30,000 training points to exchange them for the best items.

Unit usage impressions (contains spoilers)
The following will introduce our impressions of using each unit.
Please note that these are just my impressions from playing the game.
Rex

Despite being the main character, this unit was reliable from the beginning to the end.
While it cannot perform follow-up attacks in normal mode, its high combat power allows it to continue to be active on the front lines.
By equipping him with a Master-type weapon, his ability to instantly kill enemies is increased, and his destructive power is further enhanced by the "Full Power Blow" from the Bracelet of Unrivaled Strength.
Azalea

This is a magic warrior unit that can use both swords and magic.
In my case, my physical strength and magical power didn't grow very well, leaving me with a mediocre level, so I strengthened both of them somewhat at the training grounds.
Since there are many mandatory sorties, training is essential.
This unit is a vanguard with high magical power, making effective use of magic swords.
Keep Rex and Azalea together and make the most of their support effects.
Tweeter

This is a powerful magic-user unit.
Since she can use magic, divine magic, and staves from the beginning, there are many things she can do, and her stats are clearer than Azalea's, making her easier to use.
In the early stages, you can use your divine magic to heal allies by utilizing its range of 3, and later on, it's useful for taking down strong enemies with its powerful magic attacks.
Ren

Although its class change is somewhat delayed, it can pick locks and is frequently deployed in mandatory battles, making it a unit worth leveling up.
In the early stages, they are weak and difficult to train, so it will be easier if you boost their strength at the training grounds.
Learning to fire rapidly will increase its destructive power and make it easier to use, but it still feels a little lacking.
I'd like to give him the Master Bow.
Elte

This is a useful unit that broadens tactical options by allowing it to act again.
There are countless useful ways to use it, such as letting a healer act again when you're short on healers, or letting a character you want to level up act again.
To be honest, I ended up not knowing how to best utilize the song.
I think it can be useful if used properly.
Crowlis

While she may seem less powerful and defensively weaker than Rufacia in the early stages, the difference eventually becomes negligible.
Axes have high destructive power, and there are plenty of special attack weapons available, so they can be useful in many situations.
Be sure to grow it together with Rufacia.
It has the power to deliver a full-force attack, so it's surprisingly destructive.
Rufacia

He's a muscle-bound character, but in SRPGs, he's the epitome of justice.
Because the parameters directly related to combat grow well, they are relatively easy to raise and can be changed to a different class relatively quickly.
Since they can continue fighting on the front lines until the second half, let's make the most of the support effect with Crowillis and have them work together as a pair.
Ventia

This is a very useful flying unit that can use magic.
While its magic power limit isn't very high, if you power it up early with doping, it becomes very useful for things like destroying ballistas.
With skills that allow for extra actions and follow-up attacks, this character can be expected to perform well in various maps, so I highly recommend leveling them up.
While you can't equip powerful magic, it's still convenient to use magic as your primary means of attack.
It also pairs very well with magic spears.
Once you change classes, you can also use staves, making you a versatile character who can act as a healer in emergencies.
Folka

He also possesses the skill of charging headfirst, giving him considerable destructive power as a lance user.
In my case, I wasn't able to raise them much, but if you train them, they can become a valuable asset.
Veil

I didn't have many opportunities to raise them, so I reluctantly had to change classes early from a lower-level job.
Since it has the Taunt ability, I feel that if used effectively, it could have made frontline battles much easier.
Compared to the Crowillis & Rufacia duo, the difference in movement speed makes it difficult to utilize their support effects effectively, which is a drawback.
red stone

It's a similar type to Ren, but I wasn't able to raise it very well.
I feel that if we strengthen their physical strength and defensive abilities at the training grounds, they could become a valuable asset in battle.
Its high mobility is also one of its attractive features.
Alanis

Since it was an advanced class from the start, I didn't bother to train it.
In the early stages of the game, its very high HP makes it an attractive tank character.
Furthermore, Lance's attacks are powerful, so even when I deployed him occasionally, he was a decent asset.
Marcia

While he's appealing as a mobile tank, I didn't train him much.
She was often on the bench alongside Alanis, and even when she did go out into battle, she was mostly in charge of applying ointment.
Added on December 28, 2019:At level 20, you learn a skill called "The Secret of Guardianship," which increases the defense of allies within 3 spaces by +3 and increases their evasion and hit-and-run by +10 (information provided by reu).
Vasco

This is a valuable flight unit.
While Ventia is easier to use due to her follow-up attack, this character can also be used effectively if equipped with a Master-type weapon, and her ability to negate bow-effective attacks is a valuable asset.
With unique commands like "Internal Port," she's well-suited for solo action and will be able to shine in various maps alongside Ventia.
Ed

This unit can do a variety of things, such as using magic, stealth weapons, and lockpicking, but unfortunately, its low strength, magic power, and defense make it difficult to use in combat.
Its dexterity and agility are quite high, so if you boost the necessary stats with doping, it seems like it could be quite powerful.
Luciela

Like Ed, he can do a variety of things, but he leaves an impression of being somewhat mediocre.
While there are many stages where deployment is mandatory, they are not very useful as combat units.
Added on May 25, 2020You'll learn "Evasion Stance" around level 10.
Apparently, during the enemy's turn after using this item, you will be able to evade all attacks 100% of the time.
Apparently, giving him "Moonbow" towards the end of the game made him incredibly powerful.
(Information provided by: Mr./Ms. Y)
Eustacia

Raising them is difficult, but once they undergo a class change, they become fairly powerful units.
By transforming into Lapucelle, she gains resistance to various status ailments, recovers HP every turn, and can also use staves, making her a useful frontline healer and attacker.
Her exclusive weapon, Autoclaire, is also powerful, making her a usable unit if you level her up.
Eustis

This unit will develop into an expert in divine magic and staves, so it's a unit you'll want to actively train.
If you consistently heal yourself with a staff from the beginning, you should be able to change classes relatively early.
A divine spell with a range of 3, utilizing high magical power, is quite powerful.
Using divine magic that inflicts abnormal status effects on enemies is reliable because you don't have to completely defeat them.
Sistine

This unit is perfectly fine as a healer.
There are many rivals such as Eustace and Zita, so whether or not you choose to raise one among them is a matter of personal preference.
May 25, 2020:You will acquire the "Metabolic Control" skill at level 20.
Additionally, changing to the Bishop class grants the "Regeneration" skill, while changing to the Druid class grants "All Status Ailment Resistance" and "Potion Recovery 2."
(Information provided by: Mr./Ms. Y)
Giorgio

At first glance, they give the impression of being a jack-of-all-trades but master of none, which is a bit underwhelming.
However, if you raise them properly, they will learn follow-up attacks, their stats will grow well, and they will become a very powerful combat unit.
In particular, since you can use swords, axes, and spears, it's easy to make use of weapons that are gathering dust in your inventory.
Walter

This is a standard magician unit.
Because they gain experience points easily through effort, they are relatively easy to raise.
While its durability is somewhat low, it can fight reliably if you prioritize equipping it with weapons with a range of 3, such as tornadoes.
Relie

This is a unit that I ended up not raising at all.
In this game, where the number of units you can deploy is limited, there weren't many opportunities to train them.
If the same key could be used to open it, I would often deploy Ren or use an item as a substitute.
Added on December 2, 2019:Apparently, at level 10, you learn the skill "Bargaining." This skill allows you to buy items at a 30% discount and is effective in places where Relie can directly visit, such as traveling merchants before deployment or shops during stages. It cannot be used at the base, as Relie does not shop there. (Information provided by Mr. Davidov)
Added on May 25, 2020You acquire the "Hard Worker" skill at level 5 and the "Narrow Escape" skill at level 20.
Additionally, it is said that changing to the Trickster class will grant the character the skill "Elusive" (a skill version of the Teleportation Stone).
(Information provided by: Mr./Ms. Y)
Hervolt

This unit is an excellent front-line fighter, possessing the ability to pursue, high strength, defense, and magic resistance, and also having good mobility.
I think I changed classes the fastest in my playthrough.
He's someone you can confidently entrust with the front lines on any battlefield, so much so that the difficulty level changes significantly depending on whether he's there or not.
Even on maps where I couldn't deploy my main force, having Helvold was often enough to get by.
The Song of the Roses

Based on the maps it appeared on, it gave the strong impression of being extremely fragile, and the critical bow seemed to be its main weapon.
It overlapped somewhat with the red stone, so I ended up not cultivating it much at all.
Added on May 25, 2020Apparently, you learn Swift Thunder (a long-range version of Azalea's "Flash") at level 20.
(Information provided by: Mr./Ms. Y)
Leclerc

I didn't deploy her much for a while after she joined the team, but I had many opportunities to use her in the later stages, and she proved to be a useful unit.
This versatile unit can use staves, magic, and divine power, and is reasonably tough and mobile, so deploying them will always prove useful in some way.
While it's not the kind of ability that allows you to easily defeat enemies, its growth rate isn't bad, so I feel like it's been helpful in various situations.
Percival

I rarely deployed them except on maps where deployment was mandatory.
However, its defensive capabilities are very high even at its initial value, making it useful as a decoy.
I think it would have been interesting to raise it, but I had many other members I wanted to raise, so I gave up on that idea.
Elmudo

You might think they're just a support character, but they grow significantly and can be used as a main force.
The combination of "Sniping," which guarantees a critical hit when attacking before moving, and Parthia, which has a range of 2-4 and can move again, is exceptional, resulting in the best possible synergy.
Towards the end of the race, there are some issues with muscle strength, but with training, it should be fine.
June

It would have been great if we could have raised her as a valuable sorceress, but she joined the party too late and we weren't able to train her properly.
I changed his class to Druid hoping he could at least use a staff, but he lost his unique ability to use magic, making him practically useless.
Added on May 26, 2020: It seems you can learn the "Alchemy" skill at level 20.
Apparently, this skill adds the value of magic power to the effect of using an item.
This will increase the recovery rate of cartilage and healing incense burners to a maximum of 44.

A collection of articles introducing recommended free games (simulation RPGs)
A compilation of gaming-related articles featured on this blog.
That sounds quite interesting.
I'm sure I'll download it.
By the way, your lengthy introductory and strategy articles are always fantastic.
I'm always amazed at how much detail you can write.
It's amazing that someone could write this much for just one free game.
I always find your information helpful and informative.
thank you.
Hearing you say that makes writing it worthwhile.
My primary goal is to share the works I find interesting with a wide range of people.
Even if the result doesn't suit everyone's taste, I believe that if we receive both positive and negative feedback from those who played the game, it will be helpful for the creators' future activities.
I think some people might find it difficult to play without a walkthrough, so I'm writing this hoping it will be helpful to those people.
I think many people find it difficult to casually start playing long-form games, so I hope to be able to tell those people, "Please play without worry! We won't disappoint you!"
You might sometimes think, "This isn't fun for me! You've tricked me!", but since it's a free game, I hope you can just laugh it off.
The protagonist has a unique premise: from the very beginning, they are already in the role of a high-level helper character from another work.
Plus, no losses.
However, it became clear that simply having the king charge in wouldn't guarantee victory.
I've only played up to Chapter 5, but on hard difficulty, the boss goes to kill the hostages, and if he does, the child hostage won't join your party.
Since there are no losses, tactics such as sacrificing allies are possible, which gives the impression that the difficulty level is higher.
Chapter 5 wasn't too difficult on Normal mode, but it might be considerably harder on Hard mode.
If it seems like there's no other way, how about trying again on Normal difficulty?
This game seems to be flagged with malware called SoftwareBundler:Win32/Prepscram. Is it safe?
This game seems to be flagged with malware called SoftwareBundler:Win32/Prepscram. Is it safe?
Actually, I also had an issue where the executable file for this game was flagged by my antivirus software (Windows Defender), preventing me from playing it.
However, free game submission sites usually check submitted works for viruses before making them available for download.
Therefore, if they are conducting thorough checks, I think it's safe to assume that it's safe.
At least in my case, I haven't experienced any problems since playing this game (though I might just not have noticed any...).
If you're feeling uneasy, perhaps you could postpone playing for a while.
I managed to clear Carton Fine, so I've started Roads to the Crown.
This is really interesting, it's fantastic. I've already played through to chapter six in this game.
I apologize for bringing up a personal matter, but I'm playing this game on my ASUS EeeBook X205TA laptop, and it's quite sluggish, which is frustrating. I guess it can't be helped since it's a cheap laptop.
It's always been a bit choppy, but for some reason, it becomes incredibly slow only when selecting an action for Elte.
Is there any connection between the above SoftwareBundler:Win32/Prepscram and this?
I'm glad you're enjoying Roads to the Crown!
I thought that Mr. Davidoff, who enjoyed robust, classic SRPGs like Granseal Chronicle, might like this game.
It will probably take quite a while, but I hope you'll take your time playing and enjoy the details of the scenario.
This game has quite large game data, so it takes a while to start up, and it might require a certain amount of processing power.
I don't understand why the game becomes slow when Elte makes an action selection.
If you're using antivirus software like Norton or VirusBuster, it's possible that it's reacting to the executable file...
It's frustrating when you're enjoying the game content but can't play it comfortably.
Finally, I too have been flagged by Windows Defender, and I can no longer launch the game.
The executable file was deleted without my permission. That's awful, but thankfully the save data is safe.
I managed to get the game to launch after tweaking Windows Defender settings and re-unzipping it, but it's still really slow...
I've posted a question about this on the Roads to the Crown page of Mugen, but I wonder if I'll get a reply?
The gameplay itself is incredibly fun, which makes this all the more frustrating.
Since there's no other option, I'm playing Rera Kamuy Story first.
I was a little worried about Rera Kamuy Story, but it runs really smoothly. It's incredibly comfortable and wonderful.
I'm relieved to know that it's not a problem with my computer.
Windows Defender can be quite startling when it suddenly deletes executable files, right?
Setting items to be excluded from deletion will prevent them from being deleted, but it's annoying to have to react every time.
Even after searching online, I haven't found any articles that seem relevant, so I don't know the cause.
Since this doesn't happen in other works, I suspect it's probably due to something unique used in "Roads to the Crown."
Rera Kamuy Story is an SRPG where you travel to various places in an RPG-like style.
I like the atmosphere of the stage map, and I think it feels fresh.
I hope you enjoy it.
I was just looking at the questions posted on Yumegen's Roads to the Crown, and I saw someone asking about Windows Defender. The author wrote that their virus scan didn't detect anything, and apologized for not being able to help.
It's truly bizarre and mysterious.
I don't use any antivirus software like Norton or VirusBuster, though.
It's a shame, because it's such a good game.
The issue with Roads to the Crown running slowly has been successfully resolved.
I opened the game configuration settings in the Roads to the Crown files and changed the FPS value from 60 to 30, and the game ran dramatically smoother.
Is this setup method common knowledge when playing games made with SRPG Studio?
If it's common sense, then I'm ashamed of myself for making such a fuss about how heavy it was.
Anyway, now I can enjoy Roads to the Crown to my heart's content, which is great.
Since it's become lighter, I no longer worry about Windows Defender.
I'm truly sorry for causing trouble and making noise to the building manager.
So there was a way to modify the game.ini file.
I learned something new today, thank you.
If your computer is running slowly, trying this might improve performance.
> How to modify game.ini
I remembered that it was written in a text file inside the "New Theory Magical Girl" files.
The new theory about magical girls is amazing!
This is a report.
In Chapter 12, in Evil's Nest, when I positioned Luciela next to the item in the upper left and the candlestick directly below it, the "Examine" command appeared, revealing a hidden passage where I was able to obtain the item.
It was a powerful sword.
Thank you for the information.
I've added some information to the strategy guide!
Regarding Windows Defender, it seems the developer has uploaded the latest updated file.
>From Yumeutsutsu>>>Regarding the issue of security software deleting the game's executable file (game.exe)
This game was updated to version 1.04 on November 21, 2019.
The latest executable file released by the software developer is included.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please download version 1.04 and try again. (Your saved data can be carried over.)
I haven't encountered any problems with my current setup, so I plan to leave it as is for one more week.
I'm grateful that they're taking proper measures.
Thank you for the report.
It's a real shame that such a wonderful and well-crafted piece was criticized for things other than its content, so I'm glad it's been updated!
I was relieved because it was a problem I had struggled with myself.
Nice to meet you. I appreciate your walkthroughs and information, not just for this game.
I have a question: I would appreciate it if you could tell me which chapter I can obtain the magic spell Keraunos, which has the ability to "break attack seal."
I was able to complete the game thanks to your advice. Thank you very much.
Regarding the additions to Chapter 12, which we're providing as information from our end, it was also possible to do it with Rely.
In Ed, only a message appeared; it didn't work.
The hunter in the bottom right of Chapter 18 dropped a golden axe.
Due to sortie restrictions, it seems that it can only be retrieved by a Class-Changed Rely.
In Chapter 25, at ???(14.11), I was able to obtain the axe Arioch, which has the ability to break attack seals.
It might only be possible to retrieve it with Trickster's CC ability, Rely's elusive ability.
Thank you for always reading.
I obtained "Keraunos" during the "Forbidden Spell" event, which is part of the information gathering after clearing Chapter 26, "Sledgehammer."
If this event hasn't appeared yet, there might be some conditions that need to be met.
The event involves a conversation between Archbishop Leon and Mariano, during which Leon entrusts Mariano with a forbidden spell that he secretly stole from the library.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the strategy guide.
thank you.
I checked the save data and there was an event.
It's not recorded in my notes, so I think I simply overlooked it.
I'm so sorry for the trouble I caused. m(__)m
This is a report.
After leveling up Relly to level 10, she learned the [Bargaining Skill], which seems to give a 30% discount on purchases at shops.
Well, you can't use it for shopping at bases since you can't use Rely, but it seems like you can get a 30% discount from the traveling caravan at the beginning of the stage.
Even just being able to get a 30% discount on the healing wand is quite a blessing, isn't it?
Anyway, I managed to defeat it, but the dragon in Chapter 25 is really tough. If I had used up all my weapons that halve attack power and didn't have any left, I might have been stuck.
I attacked with Eustis, whose magic power was maxed out, and the damage display showed 0. I couldn't believe it.
If some kind of skill activates, will the damage go through? Or maybe using an item that temporarily boosts your own abilities?
Thank you for the information.
While it would be tempting to use them at shops selling valuable items on the map, considering that it would take up one deployment slot, it seems more appropriate to use them with a traveling merchant caravan.
In the final stages, I think it will be really tough without a weapon that can break through the halving effect.
In my case, I had equipped Rex with the Bracelet of Unrivaled Strength, so when he unleashed a powerful attack, he was able to inflict significant damage.
You can't deal much damage with half-hearted attacks, so you'll need a unit that can deal burst damage and also has a damage reduction ability.
nice to meet you
If you have the Vorpal sword, you can defeat the Dragon in one hit.
The displayed damage is 0, but Dragon Slayer is activated.
Similarly, the dragon in Eustasia's class change event can also be defeated in one hit.
nice to meet you.
I always enjoy reading your blog.
Regarding providing information,
This is an item dropped by the hunter in the lower right of Chapter 18.
Even Ren, who was changed to a walking type, was able to recover it.
Thank you for always watching.
Thank you for the information; I've added it immediately.
Since this is a game with a lot of content, any information you can provide about units you didn't raise or elements you didn't get to complete would be very helpful!
Thanks to this guide, I was finally able to clear Roads to the Crown on Normal difficulty.
thank you very much.
It was extremely difficult; I couldn't have done it without this guide.
Anyway, it was an incredibly massive game, and the execution was superb. To have created something like this all by one person is truly amazing; the world is a big place.
I managed to complete one cycle, so I downloaded the latest version, extracted it, and launched it, and it didn't trigger any Windows Defender alerts. This completely solves the problem.
I tried playing on hard difficulty, and it's tough. My weak characters with low agility get taken down quickly after being attacked twice by the enemy's high-agility archers, so checking the agility of enemy soldiers is essential. This makes it difficult to send weak characters to the front lines, making character development a pain. Characters whose agility doesn't increase much have very limited uses.
Congratulations on clearing the game!
This is truly an incredibly massive work, and it makes me realize just how vast the world of free games is.
The improvement in the Windows Defender issue is thanks to Mr. Davidoff contacting us directly!
I hope that as many people as possible can play comfortably and enjoy the game.
I imagine the hard difficulty setting would be extremely challenging.
The fact that fast allied characters can also perform follow-up attacks is a big advantage, but I anticipated that the difficulty of the increasingly intense enemy attacks would be far more challenging.
As you said, agility seems to be the most important stat, so slow characters will probably have a hard time without doping.
Hello. I'm here to provide information.
Chapter 13: The Great Chariot Robbery
I managed to clear the game with Delux and all the coattroopers surviving, and I obtained a powerful axe called Marwols, which has the ability to halve attack power.
Epic 3: The Situation in the East
I earned the Swift Anklet (movement +2 accessory) by clearing the mission with Relly and all the green allied units surviving.
Marcia learned "The Secret of Protection" at level 20. This skill increases the defense of allies within 3 spaces by +3, and their evasion and hit evasion by +10.
Thank you for the information.
Clearing Chapter 13 with everyone surviving is amazing!
We will also add various other pieces of information.
thank you very much.
It seems that Roads to the Crown is currently unavailable for streaming.
I believe they will release it again, but just in case, it might be a good idea to keep the old version files safe instead of deleting them.
But what exactly is this serious malfunction?
I didn't encounter any problems during the first lap.
Does this mean that the referral letters disappear after the second playthrough?
It's such a shame that a work of this caliber isn't available for streaming.
Thank you for the information.
I checked the author's blog and it said, "We have encountered an issue where skills are not activating correctly during mandatory battle events. We are currently working to identify the cause and consider countermeasures."
The reason for the temporary suspension of access might be a different bug altogether, but it's still unfortunate.
It seems all we can do right now is wait.
The streaming service resumed on January 9, 2020.
It looks like they've resumed streaming.
That's good.
In Epic 12, after talking to Valjean at the Kidnap and selecting "Arrest him!", I was able to transport him without fighting. The unit I transported was Rufacia.
Then I completed Epic 13: Hide & Seek.
Lely's level might be a factor. The characters involved in that chapter are Ed, Lely, and June, and the Epic event occurs before Chapter 18.
When the Epic event occurred, the characters' levels were Ed LV2, Relie LV16, and June's level hadn't changed since she had joined the party (I think she was LV10).
You can take this with a grain of salt and not expect too much.
Thank you so much for the information!
It certainly seems like the shutter speed might be a factor in the conditions for this to occur.
I will include this in the strategy guide.
I managed to clear the game on hard mode using this website as a reference.
Here is some information about hard mode.
The game's difficulty selection description states that the difference lies in whether or not there are follow-up attacks and whether or not the random number generator is fixed.
Enemy stats and skills are strengthened (for example, the boss in Chapter 29 has 999 HP),
Action patterns (such as Marshal Early remaining hidden in the back in Chapter 20), the number of enemies and the number of reinforcements,
Enemy classes (some change to higher-level classes), defeat conditions (reduction of the number of turns limit,
(Reduced number of invasions and friendly NPC deaths allowed, etc.), victory rewards (about half of normal mode?)
There are some accessories that can be obtained from enemies (such as the Ring of Power and the Ring of Swiftness) that cannot be obtained from them.
There seem to be various differences.
I felt that the difficulty level had changed considerably, so I think caution is advised.
Here are some of the skills each character can acquire.
Relly learns the "Hard Worker" skill at LV5 (does it disappear at LV20?), and learns "Narrow Escape" at LV20.
Additionally, changing classes (to Trickster) will grant you the "Elusive" skill (a skill version of the Teleportation Stone).
Cystina learns Metabolic Control at level 20.
Additionally, you can acquire the Bishop (Regeneration skill) or Druid (All status ailment resistance, Potion recovery 2) skills through class change.
Luciela learns the Evasion Stance skill around level 10.
This skill, which lasts for one turn, allows you to evade all attacks during the enemy's turn after using it, with 1001 TP and 3 turns of evasion.
(When he got Moonbow in the final stages, he was incredibly powerful.)
Rose Song learns Lightning Strike (a long-range version of Azalea's Flash) at LV20.
Thank you very much for using the article as a reference.
Thank you very much for the information.
The hardware has undergone much more detailed adjustments than what's stated.
It would be interesting to see how the usability of allied units changes if the skills they acquire change.
I found it quite challenging even on normal difficulty, so this is frightening.
If I have the time, I'll try taking on the hard mode using the looping item.
I believe the skills acquired by your allies will likely be the same in both Normal and Hard modes.
(I wrote it to mean that I would also include the skills the character acquires.)
I apologize for any misleading wording.
However, in reality, there is a pursuit system based on agility differences.
The feel of using the characters might have changed as well.
I apologize for my misunderstanding.
Since I hadn't raised this character myself and there wasn't much information available about them, this is extremely helpful.
With everyone now having the follow-up attack ability, allied units that previously had the follow-up attack skill will be relatively less valuable, while units with high agility but no follow-up attack ability will likely become more useful.
In Epic 11, if you defeat the temple boss before obtaining the Golden Axe, you will receive Heal All and training points after clearing the stage. You have to choose between these two rewards.
Thank you for the information.
So that's how things unfold if you defeat them before they can cause any trouble.
We have included it in the strategy guide.
I forgot to mention one character regarding skill acquisition, so I'm adding that information now.
June learned "Alchemy" at level 20.
This skill adds the value of your magic power to the effect of using an item.
(The recovery of cartilage and healing incense burners can reach a maximum of 44.)
Thank you for the information.
Even without being able to use a staff, you can still perform quite effective healing.
This website has been very helpful. This is a request for information.
After capturing Pellagio (the captain of the escort ship) in Chapter 8 on Hard mode,
Upon release, I received TP100 along with a message from Pellagio.
Thank you very much for the information!
I will add this information to the walkthrough for Chapter 8.
Epic8 withdrawal support
- Both the blue town on the right and the green town on the left have a 100% rescue rate.
・All three friendly troops survived
I received a gold trophy that said "Master of Rescue Operations".
Defeating Rosa and Margaret, who appear from the bottom left, doesn't seem to be relevant (you get 500 gold and 100 TP).
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to my strategy notes.
Chapter 20: Delay Operation
In Hardmode, Marshal Arley will remain holed up in his castle and will not advance.
If you're aiming to clear the game by obtaining the golden axe and defeating three bosses, you'll need to cross the bridge and advance around turn 15.
Let's advance, leaving about two allies behind to deal with the infantry coming from the northwest.
Fortunately, Marshal Early's heavy infantry entourage won't attack aggressively, so we can focus on defeating the Marshal.
Even with physical attacks, characters like Rex and Vasco can only deal about 10 damage.
Let's boost Tzita's magical power with a ring of magic and enchantments, and then unleash divine magic upon her.
Epic 17: The Great Escape
Hard mode
Both my allies and I managed to escape safely, earning the gold trophy "Midnight Escape Specialist" and the cheat sheet/axe.
Epic18 Highway Guard
Regarding obtaining the gold trophy on hard mode
The condition is that all 12 refugee NPCs must survive, but this is quite difficult.
On the enemy's second turn, one of the refugees will be defeated by the Charge Knight.
To prevent this, you must reach the refugee camp on the second turn and defeat two Charge Knights who are "not carrying refugees."
If Ventia is equipped with the Swift Anklet, she can reach the destination on her own by activating her Swiftness skill (re-action). (Make sure to give her Heal to heal any burn victims.)
Next, use Elte to give another action to either the growing Rose Song or the Red Stone, and then use the Teleportation Stone to send it to the area above the enemy with the Poisonous Sorcerer spell.
Using a warp wand requires some ingenuity, such as the wand user's magic power or Luciela's marching support.
Having a time-manipulating hourglass will make things easier, so use it if you have one.
If you can survive the second turn, all that's left is to deal with the remaining troops, so you can level up slowly. Good luck!
In Chapter 7, the enemies in the escort map who cast long-range magic have a god-tier accessory called Hunter's Eye (Snipe skill), so it's a good idea to have Ed steal it from them.
In Epic 8's retreat support, there are enemies with the Ring of Skill, so it's best to steal it with Ed. Equip it to Elte and use Night Song to hit many enemies, and you'll have a high chance of putting a large number of them to sleep. When they're asleep, they're unable to act for several turns, they don't counterattack, and their defense drops drastically, so you'll quickly gain the upper hand and it feels great to beat them up unilaterally. Night Song was so good that I didn't use the other songs much.
Thank you for the information.
I've added some information to the strategy guide.
In Hard mode Chapter 18, although it's not explicitly stated, Sylvia has an attack reduction effect.
Walter's attack, with a maximum magic power of 33, concentration of 3, and magic of 13, totals 49, but his attack is 24 minus his magic defense of 14, resulting in 10 damage.
The number of members who can be deployed is limited, and there are few characters who can deal that level of firepower.
You can't pursue them, you can't surround them by slipping through, you can't protect your backline, and there are other enemies around, so this might be a dead end.
At this point, the only way to break the halving effect is probably with a magic sword and a dragonlance.
However, characters suitable for magic swords cannot be deployed.
If I hadn't raised Folka, it would have been dangerous.
I finally started playing after reading your article. Thanks for the detailed walkthrough!
Epic 16: The Battle for the Silver Mine
Leaving 5 turrets alive unlocked a dialogue with Vasco after the battle, and I obtained the "Explosive Magic" skill. I haven't verified if there's any difference compared to leaving all 7 alive. The reward isn't that great considering the effort, so I don't think it's worth trying.
Thank you very much for the strategy information.
I have added an update to the article.
thank you for your hard work.
In Epic 16, the Silver Mine Battle, you can obtain Heal All by clearing the stage without destroying any turrets.
Thank you for the information.
I will add this to the article.
Thank you for your hard work. If you declined Elisheva's offer in Chapter 11, Isaac will be the only playable unit that joins your party in the next chapter, Chapter 12.
Thank you for the information.
I hadn't considered what would happen if I refused, so this was helpful.
I will add this to the article.
Thanks for your hard work on the strategy blog. I'm someone who's playing through the game on hard mode for the first time.
Conversely, I don't know how easy the normal difficulty is...
I generally play with zero unit injuries (I reset immediately if even one unit gets injured). There were some parts where I had to give up because it was simply impossible, though...
I'm still in the middle of playing through the game, so this is just a supplement to what I've learned so far.
Chapter 2: The Road to the Ancient Capital
To avoid getting injured by making a fuss in a wide open area right at the start, always move to the high ground in the lower right. Approach while engaging the enemy. In the lower right, assess the distance to the enemy and position Rex at the edge, keeping everyone except Rex from being attacked by multiple enemies at once while engaging them. Except for Alanis and her partner, lure out the other enemies with someone other than Rex and eliminate them to earn experience points.
Chapter 3: The Liberation of the Village
The victory condition is to gain experience points, so you should advance to just before conquering the south and eliminate the surrounding weaker enemies before fighting the boss (for experience point gain).
At the start of the battle, leave the units on the right to your allies and do not intervene too much. When you do intervene, do so moderately, like having three units take down one enemy at a time.
The main force on the left, led by Alanis and Rex, will charge straight ahead, aiming to capture the south, while the other units, being slower, will intercept approaching enemies. Ventia will, of course, take down the ballista soldiers and provide supplementary firepower to the south. The basic strategy is to avoid taking damage.
After that, we'll just wipe out the enemies coming from the north.
Chapter 4: A Night at the Count's Mansion
The reinforcements, the red stone and Ventia, are quite difficult even with just one enemy approaching, so it's best to immediately escape to the right side of the entrance.
The main force advances slowly and deals with the enemies. If you use Rex to block the path of the archers on the right, it will be easier for everyone else to deal with the enemies coming from the left.
The boss will attack not just Rex, but any enemy that seems likely to be defeated (though in Normal mode, it might only attack Rex).
Chapter 5: The Hostage Rescue Operation
I was confused from the start by the strategy guide because I didn't know how to include Tzeta, the healer, in the northern unit (Tzeta can't be moved from her fixed position, so there's no way for her to join the northern unit...).
Basically, the northern troops will only intercept approaching enemies and mostly stay at the entrance. The main force will mostly clear the area up to the boss. You'll be grinding experience points for the Youth siblings along the way.
Kill Haishera a few turns after the boss starts to go berserk, so use Elte to confuse him before then so that he will target Elte.
Chapter 6: The Ancient Capital Burns
This is one of the early stages of the game, likely because the enemies' stats are higher than in Normal mode. Basically, you'll complete various events using mounted units, including Rex. You can use Elte to give archers extra turns to eliminate them and gain experience points. Apparently, Sistina will join your party after clearing the map if she survives, even without talking to her, so you don't necessarily need to recruit her here? (Even if you do recruit her, there's a high chance she'll be injured and forced to leave before joining the party, so it might be better to evacuate her.)
Basically, eliminate enemies that come within the 6 squares of the ancient capital. Ghosts must be dealt with as quickly as possible. Only ghosts can slip through the ancient capital and enter directly. Unleash special attack weapons on the enemies as much as possible. The main strategy is to defend by preventing enemies from entering the 6 squares.
・Chapter 7 Escort
We have plenty of turns left, so first, everyone should move south to deal with the enemies coming from the south. Here too, let the Youth siblings gain as much experience as possible.
*Please train Percival here, as he has just joined the team. We want to improve his defense for later on.
Chapter 8: Surprise Attack
I think this is the most difficult part of the early game. To properly acquire the Golden Axe, secure TP, and seize control, you'll need to fully utilize Rex in Elte and use good weapons without hesitation.
Defeating the old man with the golden axe is very difficult with anyone other than Rex. Ultimately, Rex should just sprint at full speed from the golden axe to the capture point.
The pirates that appear every four turns are troublesome, so I had to reset a lot when trying to avoid taking any damage. I also didn't have enough transport capacity to secure TP by capturing Pellagio, so I just defeated enemies and destroyed their ships as usual.
Anyone who is serious about following that strategy will likely be resetting the game repeatedly from the first turn to around the fifth turn, and will eventually acquire the Golden Axe.
After acquiring the golden axe, you can mow down and conquer enemies at full speed, tearing them apart and discarding them one after another, and just barely make it in 15 turns.
I was actually hoping someone would tell me if there was a better way (to obtain everything without capturing Pelagio).
Chapter 9: Interception
Personally, this wasn't a major challenge. Because we were also assisting with Epic 8's withdrawal, Percival wasn't there since he'll be playing a more important role in Epic, but it was still easy.
The walkthrough should be easy if you follow the steps outlined in the blog.
Chapter 10: The Dragon's Fang
Is the blog post for the Normal difficulty walkthrough sufficient? I couldn't get a zero-injury clear on Hard difficulty no matter what I did. I think it's probably possible, but I decided to just clear it normally because it would take too long. (If anyone has managed to clear it on Hard difficulty with zero injuries, please let me know. It's extremely difficult.)
Chapter 11: The Mountain Search
To gain experience points, we'll have Elisheva join us (as reinforcements to earn experience points). As usual, we'll use Aurelia and Ed to steal the Golden Axe with Ventia, as we can advance slowly. Since there's a limit to the number of items you can carry, if you intend to capture every enemy that can be captured, you should bring as few weapons as possible.
The main point is that it's best to acquire most items locally, so I scout the area beforehand to figure out what I can get there and bring only the bare minimum of weapons. Items that can be automatically obtained through defeating enemies are generally sent to the magic bag (I always make sure to fill my inventory with items before sending units that I'm going to defeat enemies).
The only reason you should bring a large quantity of healing items is because you'll run out of healing items during consecutive battles. Isaac's healing items can be replenished by 20 per map, so even with that included, you should bring at least 60 yourself.
If there's any bargaining with Relie right before the deal, buy a large quantity of heels there and have her carry them.
Epic 1: The King's Lance
Attempting to complete the game right after its release is not recommended, as it requires a large amount of both funds and supplies. I strongly recommend completing it at the point where the nodes connect.
Epic 2: City Siege
Achieving zero casualties was practically impossible, so I gave up on that. Just make sure Ed and Altos survive, and advance your troops wisely.
The hard mode is reproducible (due to fixed random numbers), so if you play it right, you should be able to conquer it in about 11 turns, and I think you can aim to hold out until 16 turns.
However, I think it will be a close call (whether we can withstand the fierce attack of the flying units on Altos at the very end).
Epic 3: The Situation in the East
To obtain the Speed Anklet, it's easier not to have Helvold, who attracts allies, actively participate in attacks in the early stages (Hel will initiate the attack, so the allies will likely join in and beat him up). Use your main force to repel him.
Epic 4: Rescuing the Templar Knights
Generally, it's easier to defend first, then attack after reinforcements have been depleted.
Rather, I think it's reckless to attack while reinforcements keep coming in.
The defensive line is basically in front of the buildings. Ed's evasive maneuvers, or Percival and Rex's, should make it relatively easy.
Intruders entering through the breached wall should be eliminated as needed using melee attacks with units that can move again, or with units that have a range of 3.
・Epic5 Supply Force Escort
Rescue him in Ventia and complete the event. Doing it any other way isn't worth the effort. It's also recommended if you want to get lots of units you want to raise. Even if two of your buildings are burned down, Elmud will still join your party without any problems.
Epic 6: Situation in the East 2
Basically, I think you'll be fine even on hard mode if you follow the guides on the blog.
On the first turn, summon Elisheva and direct her towards the enemies heading towards the village. After that, you need to keep an eye on the village's defenses, as slimes will attack it, so deal with them.
Epic 7 Exercises
The second time was easier (I think it was because I used the same units on the same map for the second time, and they were more developed).
・Epic8 withdrawal support
If you raise Percival's defense to around 24 on this map, you should be able to complete it relatively easily.
I'll bring in lots of cavalry units, and first carry all the allied troops defending the village, then drop them off in the area beyond the one square in the center where they can defend. At the same time, I'll have Ed and Ventia quickly defend the village on the left and acquire the ring.
Next, eliminate the pair of Swordmasters that appear, using a unit other than the defensive unit in the upper center, around the time you finish descending the mountain.
Finally, earn experience points while helping the defensive unit in the upper center.
Also, the enemies that don't move from the start won't move unless you take down the Yankee-style scouting unit or enter their movement range, so you can take your time and slowly defeat them.
I'll stop here for now, as I'm still in the middle of playing through the game.
Chapter 10: Dragon's Fang - Everyone survived on Hard mode.
On turn 1, have the general (Vasco) charge to the right. Whether he uses an axe or a spear depends on the random number generator, but a spear reduces the chance of being hit. Prioritize reducing the number of hussars. The dragonfly wielder has an advantage against swordsmen, so position him to counterattack the mercenary on the left.
I don't know about Normal mode, but on Hard mode, armor ignores special attacks, so having an Armor Killer is completely useless. Use them as a throwing weapon to support the right side. Position the Horse Killer right at the edge of the right side's attack range.
The副将 (female flying soldier) will attack the enemy general next turn, so she should wait at the very edge of the attack range; you can also have her attack the armored unit with a tomahawk. You can manipulate the random number here.
The escort (Sanilam) remains positioned to the right of the dragonfly carrier, following closely behind. From this position, the carriage can be moved to the left, just within the range of the bow.
On turn 2, move your general to the upper left where the enemy cavalry has made a hit-and-run to heal. Position yourself so that one enemy mounted archer can reach you. You need to move him close because leaving a gap will result in a painful cavalry charge. Have your second-in-command attack the enemy general and land a critical hit. You just have to endure the counterattack.
This has a fairly high critical hit chance, and it should be possible if we adjust the attack order and shift the random number generator. Finish off the general with a throwing attack unit. Use a horse killer to take down the mounted archers and immediately retreat to the left. Even then, the horse killer unit will be within range of the flying units, but there's no way around that. We can barely survive.
The dragonfly-wielding unit can defeat one mercenary, so use its extra action to move to the right. Completely ignore the other mercenary for two turns because the carriage can withstand up to two attacks. Let the life points take the hit.
The guards will act as a shield blocking the path on the next turn, so move them to the right and change their command to "stand by."
On turn 3, the commander should defeat the enemy mounted archers and move back to the left. I think the second-in-command and one other unit will be attacked by flying units, so take down the one that can be defeated with a single blow from the dragonfly weapon. Defeat the other flying unit with two throws or a critical lance.
I think we've managed to take down the troublesome cavalry, mounted archers, flying units, and enemy general by this point, so all that's left is to block their path with your escorts who are immune to pursuit and critical hits, and the general, while attacking from behind using hit-and-run tactics. It shouldn't be too difficult.
The key is to restrict enemy movement by having the commander or guards take a step back, rather than forming a straight line along the wall.
From my personal notes
I didn't do it myself, but you can change the random number generator if you save your data from just before clearing the previous chapter. However, I think you should be able to clear the game without going to that extent, unless the random number generator is extremely unusual.
The key is to completely ignore the enemies on the left, except for defeating one mercenary on the second turn. It's impossible to avoid taking zero damage unless you reduce the number of enemies on the right.
If everyone survives on Hard mode, you get 600 points and a secret spear scroll. I tried killing someone on the last turn, and if not everyone survives, you only get 300 points. Honestly, it doesn't seem very worthwhile.
I also managed to get everyone to survive on Hard mode.
However, their method seems to be different from yours.
I initially went to Hussar as well, but couldn't find a way to make it work, so I decided to go and defeat Vasco's steel bow-wielding subordinates below, and send my axe-wielding subordinates to the bottom center to lure out the female boss.
Since you can lure in several of the weaker enemies, including the female boss, you can effectively block the enemy's advance.
This made defending the middle much easier, and when I tried the same method again, I didn't need to reset even once.
Every move is crucial, and every ally character has an important role to play.
It seems that if you make even one wrong move, survival becomes impossible, but if you move all the spaces correctly, there's no need to reset.
By the way, if anyone managed to get everyone to survive the City Capture mission on Hard mode in Epic 2, please let me know. It was the most frustrating map for me (lol).
The dragon is defeated in one hit by the Vorpal sword.
The display shows 0, but when you fight, the dragon slayer ability activates.
Chapter 25 was easy with this.
You can get 100 TP by defeating the Chaos Core in Chapters 26 and 28.
The dragon in Chapter 25 can be defeated in one hit with the Vorpal sword.
Although it's displayed as 0, the Dragon Slayer ability will activate when you engage in combat.
You can get 100 TP by defeating the Chaos Cores in Chapters 26 and 28.
In the Epic 19 pickup event, I didn't get anything even though I managed to clear it with all my allies surviving. It's disappointing that I wasn't rewarded despite all the effort I put in. The post-clear dialogue mentioned many sacrifices, so I guess it's assumed that allies will die.
