Finally, starting today, sales of Suntory's "Craft Boss Latte," which had been suspended from shipment, have resumed.
Initially, it was said to be just a performance to generate buzz, but regardless, it has resumed.
I was surprised at how much easier the black coffee, which is still being sold, was to drink, so my expectations for the latte are high.
This time, I'll share my impressions after trying it, and also introduce a few other coffees that I recommend.
Craft Boss Latte (Suntory) 500ml
So, I went to a convenience store specifically to drink this.
The eye-catching shape of the PET bottle is the same as that of conventional Craft Boss.
In short, the taste is like a refreshing latte with just the right amount of sweetness.
It looks like coffee milk, but the sweetness is only subtly sweet, and there's absolutely no overpowering sweetness.
And, true to Craft Boss's style, the coffee portion has a clean taste with almost no aftertaste, making it very easy to drink.
While it doesn't have much of a coffee flavor, it's recommended for those who want a mild, not-too-sweet coffee milk drink.
Compared to Craft Boss Black, which shocked me with its refreshing taste like tea, this one is less surprising.
By the way, I think Black Craft Boss is the perfect accompaniment to sweet desserts.
Seven Premium Everyday Coffee, Less Sugar (Seven-Eleven) 1000ml
This is a 1L pack of coffee that you can probably find in any 7-Eleven store.
While it's on the pricier side at around 250 yen, it boasts a fragrance that sets it apart from other carton coffees.
While it can't compare to the cup coffee brewed in the shop's machine, it has a surprisingly deep body and a delicious aroma that fills your senses, making it perfect for keeping in the refrigerator at home.
It is recommended to add a small amount of milk when feeding.
If you're someone who doesn't understand the depth of flavor in coffee, try comparing this coffee with a 1L pack of coffee that costs around 100 yen, and you'll realize how weak the other coffees are.
Conversely, if you can't tell the difference, I think the cheaper one is fine.
FIRE EXTREME BLEND (Kirin) 185ml
You often see them in vending machines and in the canned coffee section of convenience stores.It's a flashy can of coffee that shines silver.
As the name suggests, it pursues the ultimate in savory flavor.
With just one sip, you'll notice a powdery bitterness and richness that screams "coffee beans!"
Among canned coffees sold in vending machines, I think this one has a fairly authentic coffee flavor.
However, it's only just barely above the level of canned coffee, so it can't compare to Seven-Eleven's cup coffee or Starbucks' coffee.
Also, because it has a deep and rich flavor, it's not suitable for drinking multiple bottles at once.
