Introduction and impressions of the free game "The House of Adabana: Ao"

徒花の館・蒼(フリーゲーム)紹介と感想 game
This post can be read in about 3 minutes.

This third installment in the "House of Fleeting Flowers" series is not a death game where you fight by using your wits.
This is a dark game where you play entirely as the hunter, with the goal of trapping and killing your prey.
I'd like to introduce this short film, which, despite being less than an hour long to complete, is surprisingly captivating.

Game Overview

The story follows the protagonist, Aoba, a serial killer, who receives a request from a boy who is about to commit suicide, and then sets out to take revenge on four people who were his victims.
The story involves taking four people to your mansion and then having each of them participate in a death game to kill them in order to escape.

The player's role in the game is to use their points to set traps in the room.

There are separate rooms for each of the three individuals, excluding the leader, and you will set traps tailored to each target in those rooms.
Since points are limited, strategically place traps that you think will be most effective and aim to eliminate everyone.
There are no action elements; it's purely an adventure game where you set traps.

As clearly stated on the trap-setting screen, there are three different endings.
There's a true ending where you kill everyone, a good ending where you kill 1 to 3 people, and a normal ending where you don't kill anyone.
The difficulty level is very low, and I think you can easily clear it on your first try. If you can't clear it, you can just reload your save file and it will be easy.
本作の楽しみは、多彩な罠を仕掛け、相手が罠に掛かったときにどういう反応をするのかというところを観ることでしょう。

thoughts

Just reading the description of the game makes it seem like an inappropriate game.
However, the four targets are engaging in extremely malicious bullying.
When you see such heinous content right at the beginning, it makes you want to see divine retribution brought upon them.
This opening makes the protagonist, who is supposed to be a murderer, appear as a hero of justice or a deadly assassin.
If the four characters were ordinary students, the story would become a terrifying tale that highlights the protagonist's abnormality as a murderer.

Setting traps is honestly fun.

There's a dark thrill in setting a trap to kill someone, which makes me confront the dark side of myself.
However, the plot and content were very satisfying, so I personally enjoyed it quite a bit.
Rather than being a game to enjoy, it was a game where you could enjoy a dark, sadistic revenge story.

I prefer the good ending to the true ending because it's more bittersweet.
The true ending has a somewhat unexpected resolution to a plot point, which leaves you thinking, "Oh, really?"

summary

"The Mansion of the Fleeting Flower: Blue" is a very short and easy game with little gameplay.
While the content is somewhat inappropriate, for those who want to see a satisfying revenge story, this is a work that offers the enjoyment of setting traps.
